Aww hi Rob and Lynn, loved this one, in my humble opinion I think this spot was one of the nicest I have seen, the way all the motorhomes were on the circle around the lake was amazing and that hill/ mountain with the church on top was incredible 😍😍 what a view, I couldn’t watch that rock climber 🧗‍♀️😱😱😱my heart was in my mouth.. Rob the drone footage was bloody amazing thank you so much, you have made my day. I always comment on your Insta as well, beautiful pics and stories, I would say to anyone go have a look. It’s Saturday morning here I’m Aus so I would say you would be off and getting the bus and you back end out somewhere 😅😅😅. I hope you are all well and not too cold. We loved it there when we went last September. We did walk up to the church and tower and the views were superb. I would definitely return again. Did you know it was on a programme with Paul Merton and his wife as they were trying out motorhoming. Please note we had booked before the TV show aired! Take care Gill

I grew up just down the road. Some nice walks around the area and the cafe bar at the entrance does decent food. The boatyard is more like a scrap yard, pretty depressing. The tide at Weston is the second highest rise and fall in Europe going out about 1.6km. Launching a boat from the wharf is a farce, you follow the estuary out then it’s almost time to turn around again before the tide recedes. We are in the CAMC site at Newport, Wales. Cheap and nice.£126 for 7 nights

We have been there, nice campsite. Very good pub The Ship Inn down the road. Do good food. Great place just have to walk out of the campsite down onto the beach & walk into Weston. 👍

Happy holidays too you both, uphill church is lovely if like walking up hill it’s well worth it, apparently the detective who worked on the Jack the Ripper case is buried there, we managed to find it. The place where you are floods sometimes.

Pretty sure it was at Uphill Church that they discovered that the flood across the Somerset levels in 1607 was in fact a tsunami. The Vicar was on that hill, watched it role in and describes it in the church records. Two gents read the description which led to the discovery.
