You should definitely look at Faster than Light next, it's one of the most iconic tracks from the game! And yeah, the motif at 7:54 is pretty much the Stellaris main theme - it shows up in a lot of other tracks, and at the end of most of the trailers too.

Now that you pick it apart like that, calling it a "journey"... yeah, there's something to that interpretation. Each "movement" can sort of be mapped to different phases of a Stellaris game. The initial exploration, where you are looking at a mysterious galaxy, trying to find your place in it. An age of expansion and infrastructure, where your people become a truly interstellar civilization. Then, conflict: Stellaris not just a game about war in way of, say, Total War, but even the most peaceful civilization will have to defend itself from time to time. But that's not the note it ends on, because there will also be ages of peace, diplomacy, and science. Not everyone in the galaxy is an enemy, after all, and in the end, "the galaxy is bright and full of wonder".

Stellaris is a real time strategy game… there’s a lot to it… but essentially you create your own civilization and primary belief systems and forms of government. And the game begins as your species begins exploration of their galaxy (you even get to choose the size and shape of the galaxy). You’ll meet/encounter other space fairing races, some friendly, some only friendly if you’re a certain type of alien or government, and some hostile to everyone. Tons of story to everything you do and find and every “game” is completely different. Only downside, the game causes time to speed way up in real life, you’ll play for 6+ hours without noticing.
Faster than Light is probably the most iconic track from Stellaris!

Faster than light is great. But Creation and Beyond just goes beyond.

It would be super cool to see you cover Beyond from Stellaris's Overlord DLC too. Beautiful vocals in that one, and a super iconic track from the game

I didn't expect to hear stellaris/paradox music here at all. Nice day to be here and nice music to commit space war crimes. From Stellaris I also recommend listening to "Faster than light" and "Luminescence". From its DLCs my favorites are "Dragon Breath", "Then Comes Light" (god I love this menacing one), "Synthetic God" and "Super Massive Fleet".

True. I was actually kinda surprised it was this one that would be reacted to first, because, main theme or not, I didn't find it as memorable as any of those. I'd have figured Faster than Light would be the most requested one from Stellaris. Also, I personally would add Deep Space Travel to the list, which might be my personal favourite. No idea if that's a popular opinion.

Stellaris is, more or less, a 4X game about building the greatest empire in the galaxy. You start as a civilization that recently developed space travel and work your way up the tech tree while exploring and colonizing the galaxy, interacting with other space faring empires (both ones new to it like you and ancient ones that long ago fell into decline), and occasionally dealing with space monsters and threats to the galaxy. In some ways it's about roleplaying as much as strategy, since it lets you customize your empire and race, including their backstory, and you can choose how much or little you want to get into the roleplaying. It's a lot of fun, but the tutorial is a little lacking and there's a ton of stuff to know so it's a little difficult to initially pick up. The remark about a journey through many different kinds of sensations is rather apt, as there are a plethora of ways you can choose to interact with the galaxy and its inhabitants, from playing as a cooperative pacifist, to a genocidal militarist, to an empire that just wants to be left to their own devices and not interact with the rest of the galaxy.

Warms my heart to see you break into the Stellaris soundtrack. It's a soundtrack I usually listen to when I am working just due to the very nature of the tracks. Now we just need to get you to look into the Blasphemous soundtrack. It's one of the more unique soundtracks I have heard.

I remember suggesting this one in the polls a few times, shoutout to Krad Nosnateff for submitting it! The music in this game is so beautifully atmospheric The game itself is a 4X real-time grand strategy game with heavy roleplay elements. It's a space civilization builder type thing. You make an empire and play to discover new tech, galactic mysteries, other empires, etc. You can ally other empires or fight them and do all sorts of things! It can take some time to really get into and learn but it can be a time eater once you get going lol. Oh and yes, this is the title theme for the base game. Music plays throughout the whole game while you're going around sending ships to explore and all that. Helps fill the atmosphere, which is why the tracks can be so long.

I love Stellaris. I don't play it much and I'm terrible at it, but I love it. When those strings kick in at 9:50 I always get emotional.

Stellaris is one of my favorite games ever, so cool to see you covering some tracks from it! Having played the game since its launch this soundtrack has been with me for quite many years and it's very much comfort music for me. As many others have said (and suggested) there's so many tracks that are pretty iconic and still give me chills even after 2000+ hours☺

Stellaris has so many great songs, and in fact, there is a mini media player you can access mid game to pick and choose what songs you want playing in the background.

I will bother you one last time, sorry if I've been troublesome But I just wanna remind you that the Blasphemous 2 dlc track is out, and it's pretty short, 9 tracks around 35 minutes, so it'll be nice if you could check it out Carlos really did a great job with them

Creation and Beyond is a great track! Really sets the tone for the sci-fi setting of a Grand Strategy game! Other tracks that I enjoy include Toward Utopia, In Memory of Mercedes Romero, and Super Massive Fleet, but my all time favourite has to be Sigma Tauri. That one to me really tells a story about discovery, from mystery to revelation. I love how the synths play against each other, it's an interesting experience for my ears. Thanks for listening and enjoying Stellaris music, I appreciate it! :)

My favorite piece of music of all time is Dragon's Breath from the Stellaris: Leviathans DLC. Very close 2nd is The Awakened, from the same DLC. Third place goes to Towards Utopia Nova Flare, which is a big remix of one of the Federation tracks. Stellaris OST truly hits different- a real shame the composer left Paradox.

Stellaris is a science fiction 4X grand real-time strategy game. It's a game of exploration, discovery, statecraft, and adversity. Personally,I think the game's tagline sums the game up best; The galaxy is vast, and full of wonders.

If you get the chance, I think your next listen series should be Undertale Yellow. It's a fan game that is a prologue to Undertale, and it was released just a bit under a year ago. It has some phenomenal soundtracks and characters. Highly recommend giving it a reaction.
