Right now there are few brokers who are charging zero brokerage on Trading like SHOONYA, Kotak neo etc but in our total charges we are paying STT, GST, exchange transaction charges and Stamp duty. Also we are paying Capital Gain tax or tax on F&O trading under business heads. Either way we should be paying STT or Capital Gain / tax on F&O under business heads. Or STT should be abolished as already direct taxes and GST (indirect taxes) both are there. This is good initiative. Every KZbinr should start campaigning on this matter.

Very good attempt to highlight the draconian STT which should be scrapped. All the stake holders should also look at the transaction charges levied by the stock exchanges which is prohibitive. Recently NSE had announced its results declaring huge profits and very high dividend and still higher bonus shares. NSE as exchange is not providing any convenience to the traders who contribute their main income. Even by selling the data they make undue profit. They should reduce the transaction charges, provide free charting facilities etc. SEBI should immediately look into this and stop this day light robbery and ensure that more facilities are given to the traders and investors. In fact the majority of the brokers have done their best by giving capped brokerage charges per executed order which should be a model for all others.

I have a query cum video idea for you. There are terminologies like market cutoff timing and same-day NAV in the stock market. It means, let's suppose, if I put a buy or redemption order on a mutual fund during the market timings (before 3 PM) on 18th May, I will get my units based upon the NAV of 18th May only provided that day should not be a market holiday. Also, sometimes due to some special reasons, the market opens on Saturdays or Sundays too despite today being a Saturday, the market is open due to the election holiday on Monday in Mumbai. Now my question is if I put a redemption order on my mutual fund investments today (being a Saturday but a working day for stock markets) before market cutoff timing, which day's NAV should I get (i.e. today's or the next working day's)? Bcs I have redeemed my investment today around 12:30 on Groww but there it is written that I will get the NAV of 21st May.
