Like someone rightly mentioned in the comments, international students needs to also be careful about the number of hours they’re doing on a job. First the applicants won’t be there when these decisions are made by the caseworkers. And when HMRC records shows the applicants are working more than required hours that’s when the problem starts with the application. People need to also be made aware of their right to request for extension apart from health grounds. Well done bro

@@the_yb7 you can get a VISA extension but it’s not easy. It’s ok if you fail in your first semester but I’ll advise you to get prepared and ensure you pass all the courses before your VISA expires.

It's not hard finding a job paying £40 per hour if you are an experienced computer programmer. So it's probably the excessive hours some of those students were working why they were refused the PSW rather than the income itself.

It’s no big issue the university will give him a warning strike if it’s the first time it’s happening, depends on the level of plagiarism he’ll be ask to rewrite the course. I’m talking from experience

If it is his first time there’s no need to worry. they will mark based on the substance of his work putting into consideration the level of plagiarism. Sometimes they waive plagiarism if it’s your first time and depending on the extent . If it’s really bad and his similarity score is very high they would ask him to re-write the course or score him a zero in extreme cases. What was his similarity score?

Now talking about dependants, people need to understand what dependants are involved that can either “join you or be invited”? Spouse or family dependent. My wife was a student back in 2020, and I joined are with our 2 kids same year, about 7months after she got to the UK. So, inviting our family “parents” was during the post study, which took a bit frantic turn while I invited my dad before the post study and his visa was granted, and invited my mum very close to our visa expiration, she got denied bcs our visa was about 1 month to left. After our post study application, I invited her again and she got it, right now she is with us. Take note, I as the spouse dependant didn’t come in during post study but my parent did. I guess no one wouldn’t want to risk waiting till post study before bringing a spouse dependant into the UK.

International students are usually given 4 months extra on the visa after the graduation date written on the CAS and that 4 months is when one can work full time because one is done studying. But before then one can only work 20hours during term time and full time during holidays. If you decide to work full time while studying then you can kiss the graduate route visa goodbye.

Hello Rotimi, Your partner must have relocated into the UK while you’re still on Tier 4 visa….. Then both of you can then move to the post study after your studies You won’t be able bring your partner when you move into the post study visa I hope this clarifies?
