Literally on the first disc of season 1 she manages to commit arson, coercion of her daughter performing a B&E, rude to an elderly woman, lies to everyone she met AND is so clumsy it's annoying. Also she almost killed Mike's dog because her insecurity and jealousy got the best of her. Terrible woman....

So i cant blame Susan for panicking when someone unidentified was sneeking around the perimeter of the house. I still hate Susan deeply, but thats one action i can atleast understand. Rewatching Desperate Housewives, grew up watching some with my mom (she’d tell me not to look when stuff was on bc I was 3-4 when it came out but was 6 when I started getting into it…now rewatched it and had to ask my mom if I saw …all of the pilot bc Mary Alice straight up offs herself in less than a minute in and I just sat on the couch like “oh…i don’t remember that scene” I remember she was dead in the story but didn’t remember her straight up…yknow lol

And that is the fault inn all of this. She is super narcissistic and even speaks of herself as an "adorable mess". That is something you cannot proclaim on yourself, it is the perception of others when speaking about her, tops. She also has a more than questionable relationship with Julie, who shows clear signs of adultification. She is always the victim and oh so in need of being rescued. She cannot be alone and depends on others in so many ways, needing the attention. I started a DH marathon lately and it creeps the heck out of me. Again.

He went behind Lynettes back and started a pizza place without her initial consent and then pressured her into it. He made life hell for an already stressed and working Lynette when he hurt his back by making demand after demand, and then got angry when Lynette literally had cancer claiming "your making the cancer all about you.". And when they separated in Season 8, while Lynette was going through a whole self improvement kick and trying to win him back, he did absolutely nothing to improve and waited until she was good enough for him. I could go on, Tom is easily one of the worst and most poorly written characters in the whole show for me.

I'd argue, out of all of the women, Susan's up for having gone through the least, maybe just above Lynette. But compared to the shit Bree & Gabby have endured, Susan's had a cruising life.

@AskClips3 I mean, at the end of the day, opinions are opinions and we're all entitled to them. But personally, I can't stand Susan. For the same reason I can't stand Tom. Whenever they do something bad they never have ti suffer punishment because "their hearts were in the right place" or "they meant well" or "it was someone else's fault". I just don't like characters who can get away with shit like that because of plot armour.

Susan created most of the mess she was in. As an adult who has to work so much to get by, she really was a horrible adult, mother, and friend. Very selfish and always did things at the worst moments that was always about her, from her mother’s wedding to her snooping around trying to get Orson jailed. She always acts so serious on the dumbest moments yet is dumb and helpless at every other moment. Just very annoying and self centered if you imagine she was a real person that you knew in real life lol.
