There was an early Deadpool comic where Taskmaster came up against Wade. The fight in that comic included breakdancing, moonwalking, and other dance moves that had no correlation to combat. The chaos that Deadpool is capable of infusing into his fighting style is anathema to Taskmaster's photographic reflexes.

The real comic Taskmaster is a pragmatist. He is in it for the money. He came to the brilliant conclusion of instead of fighting supers, instead charge money to teach people to fight supers. Taskmaster has been shown to be a brutal, but skilled teacher. While he does jobs when the teaching gig is not making ends meet, he prefers to be more a teacher than a combatant. If the X-men were not such purists, they would have hired Taskmaster years ago as either a teacher, or security. After Dark Reign, Taskmaster realized he did not want to sit at the big table, all he wanted was an interesting job with a nice, steady paycheck. On the MCU, it would be easy to have it revealed the female Taskmaster was actually one the real Taskmaster's students. The Arrowverse did something similar with Deathstroke, and pulled off Deathstroke very nicely.

I find it interesting to note that Deadpool (in the Ryan Reynolds movies) struggles most with fighting in highly enclosed spaces. This is highlighted in the fight in car in Deadpool & Wolverine. You can also see his style revolves more about out-maneuvering and quickly taking out his opponents with his weapons on hand rather than getting into an in-your-face brawl

Also have to keep in mind that before he became deadpool he was the merc with a mouth and had a fighting style that didn't include being to careless with his own body and also had superhuman reflexes, like being able to cut bullets out of the air with his swords. It's just that when he got his regenerative powers he kind of just let all of his defensive skill go and focused only on the offensive ones. If taskmaster had been able to copy him before he became deadpool, then likely wouldn't have had an issue copying him.

The human body is capable of unbelievable feats, strength-wise, with the cost of torn muscles, broken bones, internal bleeding etc. Wade's body eliminates most downsides, leaving pain tolerance as the only bottleneck.

It comes down to 3 things and to understand those 3 things you need to understand how Taskmaster's ability works. He copies the muscle memory and from that learns more about the person and how they think. The problem with this when facing deadpool (the 3 things) are: 1. Deadpool has a badass regenerative ability 2. He relies on that regenerative ability with reckless abandon 3. Because of the 4th wall and his random thoughts (he literally has 2 "inner voices") reading his mind kills all mutants, but Emma, whom even she has great difficulty and finds it unsettling. What does this mean? It means when taskmaster fights him, he instinctively copies him and has a hard time NOT coping him and when a regenerator that cares fuck all about himself throws himself onto a sword to stab you, when YOU do not have the ability to regenerate - it becomes extremely problematic for you, especialyl since Taskmasters power is mostly involuntary.

I would imagine outside of the inability to.. the way Deadpool fights is without his own safety in mind... if he takes a few bullets or stabbed through the chest, oh well. But I'm pretty sure, about 1/3 of Deadpool's fighting, is him getting wounds that would kill any other person, and using that as both comedy relief, and shock factor against his enemies sometimes. He does do actual fighting too. That taskmaster can copy, just not the Deadpool adaptation of the fighting style, which is just unhinged lack of self-preservation madman. If Taskmaster tried to copy it, he'd just die. A lot.

Deadpool and also Moonknight are two people that Taskmaster absolutely refuse to imitate their fightying styles. In Deadpool's case, he fight with unpredictability and chaos due to his healing factor makes him disregard his own safety. The same could be said with Moonknight but imo, there is something so terrifying about Moonknight way of dealing with criminals, he's insane yet sane at the same time, and he could use the most brutal method that beyond your comprehension to get to you if you're in his sight. It's not that he won't or chooses not to it is that he can't. You can't copy something that doesn't exist taskmaster can copy any fighting style that is used against him but Deadpool doesn't use a fighting style it's random. taskmaster CAN'T copy random things, he was able to move like the flash by speeding up a video of somebody running but randomness is uncopyable. When concerning Deadpool there are things that makes him op, one, his entire fighting style is completely random which allows him to hit enemies that otherwise would not be able to be hit. Two, because of Deadpool's ability to perceive that he is a character any mind reader that attempts to read his mind will go mad like professor X did when he did it he self deleted shortly afterward. Three, his body cannot be possessed because by possessing his body the possessor has access to his mind and same reason as number two. And number four, as long as Deadpool retains his power he is effectively immortal.

There were times Taskmaster did mimic Deadpool’s style so Deadpool switched to breakdancing. Another time Deadpool beat Taskmaster while chained up. Deadpool’s ability to develop moves on the fly gives him the edge since Taskmaster can only do what’s already been done before.

Tldr- 1. Deadpool fights at near 100% muscle strength at all times ontop of being a super soldier making it extremely taxing to mimick. 2. Deadpool has zero self preservation instincts and only ever protects his spinal cord/neck in rare instances. Making capying him a very poor idea if you cant regenerate from literally nothing. 3. If you copy Deadpool to well you copy his mental illness as well.

I agree with the reason being that deadpool fights with no concern for his safety. Considering the fact that his attacks will connect if the only concern is his safety, it makes him brutally effective since many fighters would alter their attack last second if it meant serious bodily harm to oneself. It almost guarantees that kamikaze style attacks from an enemy is rendered useless since Deadpool wouldn't sustain any long term or serious damage while the enemy would be rendered dead or incapacitated. Taskmaster wouldn't be able to copy someone who doesn't mind losing limbs or fatal injuries since he would simply die or permanently damage himself. It's not as though he couldn't copy Deadpool, it would just be pointlessly self-destructive.

I mean, it's still POSSIBLE. In Black Widow it was known as the Taskmaster Protocol, so it could've been an offshoot of the Widow program that Dreykov developed in conjunction with Tony Masters, using neural programming to mimic Tony's own skills. Deadpool is… you know… fine, I guess? Literally cannot die, so that’s good. But he tops out. Like, he couldn’t even make Colossus lean slightly to the side. Against the Juggernaut, he couldn’t even banter. He just started fangirling at him, then got ripped in half. As you scale up the enemy… he’d not die, but above a certain point you’d need specialty weapons. He’s got quick reflexes, but he doesn’t use them to dodge.

If he was forced into only being able to copy Deadpool somehow, he could still probably take out quite a few people before his fatal comic misstep that he can't Deadpool his way out of.

I wouldn't say refuse; he just cannot mimic Wade. Deadpools brain is fried there is no fighting style it's all random.

He also refuses to fight Deadpool because as shown in the comics even Deadpool doesn't know what he's going to do next. Deadpool's fighting style is completely random and unpredictable. Taskmaster has the ability to copy the already seen combat styles, but that doesn't mean he is also able to predict what Deadpool will do.

Reason he doesnt copy in short: "He has a fucking healing factor and all his fighting styles usually involves taking fatal punishment to pull of moves that would be impractical to a normal person, Risk vs reward is just reward to deadpool"
