If there was no tax...Companies will pay you less. There are many problems, infact think about it..why people don't talk much about indirect taxes but only income taxes more? Because its something they see/pay first hand(either themselevs or can see in whatever accounts departmnent sends them). ik india cannot be like other coutries where they don't have to depend on taxes like oil countries or tourist countries where wealth comes from outside. Especially when there is a threat if we stop our GDP growth. The first step I would say is to have a very transparent record available to public for use of income tax money. I can understand there could be some information they cannot disclose due to security issues too which they can do it through indirect taxes. I am someone who is able to make use of good roads and facilites due to my commute routes and and all but at the same time if I want to go other side it sucks and the thought comes why am I paying taxes. Don't know whom to held responsible but obviosuly its more on local authorities, we see even how whenever a big leader like say Modi comes to visit the state govt and local agency is quick to fix issues atelast for their visit. There should be a association like how people do in societies, Unions etc which actually has power and is headed by public not some leader(ik MLAs are supposed to do that but we know they are corrupt too.)

I know a small shopkeeper who owns BMW. He simply purchases vegetables from farmers at dirst cheap rates like 30 rs / kg and sells the same in the market at 120 rs / kg. All transactions done in cash. No GST, no income tax, no income tracking. He says he earns around 5 lakh a month as just profit and has mach such shops. Another Electronics shopkeeper has same story who does not disclose their true income to govt, always show losses, invest their money in gold, real estate so banks will not track it and have all transactions in cash. Its only the salaried ppl who get crushed in income tax

Division of India happened because of conflict of Jinnah aided by British against Congress not BJP. Most people pay little taxes and indirectly. Most people do not know to properly plan family. They are lacking for good food, good job, solid roof, have little to no agricultural land, can't provide for family but still go on to get wife and kids becoming even more poor and then complain of the government for not doing enough. All the developed countries are facing problem of shrinking population because they plan on having enough wealth and property in their hands before having a family. Here the backward people won't vote the educated people suggesting them to adopt certain changes in their way of life for their own benefit. Backward people voting backwards leaders from their caste, community, religion who would promise them free stuffs and then they would also complain from the same government for being corrupt instead of looking inwards. This is not to say that Government has no flaws but ranting against the government is not going to make things any better unless you are also willing to make necessary changes and sacrifices in your own lives.
