Why Team Star Is ACTUALLY The Worst Evil Team In Pokémon

I like team star because their reasoning for what they do doesn't feel ilogical. They see the system as flawed because it has already failed them, so they are just like "I'd rather spend my time with a group of people that accept me and would fight for me". I'm glad the team didn't disolve at the end of their story. They seem to have created a safe space for anyone who is different and I love that.

I’m a senior in high school, and this year has been one of the worst for bullying, and it’s not just from the students. i’m autistic and struggle with noise, and my main way of dealing with this is by wearing headphones. (to be clear, i’m not wearing them while lectures are happening or during situations where i need to hear what’s going on, only while doing class work and shit like that) for the past 3 years, that hasn’t been a problem, but this year they decided it was. i’ve been in and out of the office constantly because now if i slip up even a little, i get in trouble. it’s not even because of my headphones anymore, it’ll be shit like missing a section on a worksheet. a month or two ago, my art teacher pulled me aside and told me that in their last staff meeting, my name had been brought up and the way they were talking about me had sounded ableist to her. like i was just some punk kid (which, yes i am, but not in this situation) who wanted to listen to music in class to be disrespectful. and the teachers who used to be chill and let me use the tools i had started being shitty about it. they refused to meet with my mom about accommodations until after my exams, where i needed those accommodations the most. sorry for the downer, but i’ve been super frustrated with this and i want people to know that admin is almost never their friend, they just want you to shut up and pass so it makes the school look good.

The mic issue I had is *mostly* fixed, but still is a bit blown out at points. Handling audio is probably my weakest point in video production, so any tips are greatly appreciated!

A software named levitator helps with it although it’s no longer being worked on it just makes your audio volume the same as the regular talking portions. You just import the audio files and it works right out of the box.

I really liked Team Plasma in the sequels, actually. The old remnants of the side that actually care about protecting pokemon rally around N once more to oppose the organization they used to be a member of and it really showcases the extent of how many people were in the organization for the sake of improving pokemon's lives, and how they find new ways to work towards that goal without team plasma.

Playing violet rn and i really fell in love with team star, so i was fuming when i saw the title, but after watching it, i totally agree. My biggest gripe is the fact that i could never really see them as an evil team in the first place and that it was pretty clear that they weren't really evil. Great video tho!!!

I first found your channel when I was around 14 and it really inspired me to get into art, but when I found out that you were uncomfortable with people watching your content who were under 18 I stopped watching since there were other artists who made content. I am now 18 and I randomly remembered this channel and came back to watch. Very nostalgic for me honestly!

It's insane to see Oliver's videos compared to 4 or so years ago. I started watching his videos when I was young and very into art. I've strayed a lot from that now, but, it's awesome to see how Oliver and his videos have changed. The old videos made my middle school-ish self want to practice and do art and artistic things. I'm now training to be an interior designer and I have Oliver and a few other art KZbinrs to thank for making me more creative and keeping me motivated to do so! Edit: Fixed it! :>

the first pokemon game i actually played was violet and scarlet, and though I would love to play othergames and experiance the pokemon games on a broader scale then just those two games that are clearly very very different from the other games as said in the video, i never really got the hate for them, you summed it up really well with just the team not being evil and telling a different story then the other games wer.

I was actually bullied throughout school for being autistic and having Pokemon as my special interest. no one did anything, some teachers even participated, so I relate to penny a lot. I love the team star story, even though I really want to see a return to the classic evil team formula next game

This is incredibly random but a few years ago I remember watching a video of yours where you talked about the direction of your content, especially towards an older audience. In the video you had kindly asked for those under 18 to not watch anymore, or to at least be warned of the content you would show. And, as a kiddo then, I put every ounce of my attention towards following that wish of yours, promising myself I would respect it and come back years down the line. Big disagree on team Yell being 'boring'; they're jerks, but they want Marnie to win for a very specific reason: Their home town is dying; Rose doesn't care and wants to move the gym away, despite the fact it would sink the town's whole economy. The Champion also doesn't care, he's too busy being Rose's patsy to help Spikemouth. They want Marnie to win so that her fame revitalizes and saves their dying town, and so her role as champion can direct improvement to their gym to bolster the local economy.
