Can't disagree with the tactics, but let's be honest, ETH is never going to do it. It will be the same idea as every week, fast attack and lose the ball then a half hearted pres from the forwards whilst the defence runs back and the opposition have free reign of the midfield and rip us apart.

Yes. Hopefully we don’t see at least Bruno, Rashford and Mctominay. None can keep the ball and play simple 5metre passes. Not convinced Mount can replace Casemiro defensively so Kobbie to start there. At least now Onana is better now. Got to avoid 40m gap between middle and forwards.. 2:1 or 3:1 United in your formation.. trouble if Ten Hag stays stubborn and score could be 2 or 3 the other way

I think right now best formation for man utd is 4 4 2.....narrow diamond midfield with casemiro at the base & bruno on the tip.... mainoo & mount being other two midfielders.... Also rasmus & garnacho upfront

You see how bellingham is like a hybrid midfield/striker at RM.. I think hojlund should drop back more and help out in the buildup in midfield, get it to the wingers and he can run into the huge space he should have created by bringing defenders up to halfway line

This looks like a even game, if UTD turn up with lessons learned from the HUMILIATION at OT. Not sure about Mount - I do hope he's fine, if he remains at OT, but I am struggle with the point of him tbh as I did not observe him too much at Chelsea; he looks like an old fashioned Inside Forward... Can't shake the thought that DM solidity is necessary with Maguire at DB. Wish Amrabat was that, if Cas continues to suffer efficiency as a stopper and passer. Sitll wonder, therefore, whether both Am and Cas should start, at or feature at some point in a match to just plug those massive spaces for a while, at the expense of a 3rd attacker Anyway, at some point - in the future.., UTD need to to get to one touch passing and possession as a preference, which implies running into space ALL THE TIME rather than running with it (though with that as an constant threat, for which there are the players) and certainly not dithering esp when you have less pace (Maguire) and/or poor recovery run factors (Maguire, AWB, and the entire midfield)... er, rather like City(!) and Arsenal demonstrate in every game.
