But what about cold weather 264 miles won’t be the range are we looking at a 50% reduced range ? Charge every evening? Also the prices are so high how can the lower class afford an EV

It is a good question about range in the cold - it is likely it will be similar to the ID.3. I would suggest a good habit with an EV is to charge it every night if you have access at home. That will keep it always topped up. Of course if we are talking longer journeys then maybe you need a car with higher range. You are right about pricing but the prices will come down as we move towards the banning of selling new ICE cars (2030 in the UK).

According to battery life channel, his id3 has lost 10% battery storage capacity and range in 2 years. Remember range is affected by speed, at 70 mph ( where it matters ) the range is vastly less than that quoted.

I have driven the id3 it drives well but feels cheap. I have a Golf 8 the software faults on this have been carried over to the id3 and I would not trust the Born software enough to buy one

Where can I find what the different trims are? Noone ever compares them! Even the Cupra website only has tiny images in the "build your Cupra" tool so it's too small to see differences

I explain the different trims in the video; if you are talking about outside differences it is just the wheels that change as far as design goes and the copper accents.

How do you release the boot for a passenger to put something in? Only seems to open when the driver seat is vacated?

I don’t have the car to check. I imagine there is a button on the infotainment system but if not you could use the keyfob to open the car.

I think it’s good value but EVs are generally more expensive right now than petrol/diesel cars. With time prices will decrease.

Did this have the DCC fitted? And if so, do you have an opinion on whether it is significantly better than the standard suspension?

I would say the standard suspension was comfortable and I didn’t have to think about where I was driving on the road. However, if you want to stiffen the car up and have more fun then I would suggest the DCC.

You are correct; I was wrong before and have edited it. In the car, it did feel softer. The ride was good but I would always recommend testing it yourself if you can.

It is more than a re-skin. Because it looks better, has a better interior and has some technology the ID.3 doesn’t. However the ID.3 is a fantastic car.

Lacks any criticism. All positives... no negatives. Interior is well below Koreans and french standards. Software is awful. Not "nice and easy to use" at all. Fractionally better the id3 sw...but its still bad.

I disagree about the interior of the Cupra. I think that it is a lot better than the ID.3. I do however agree that the new Kia models have great interiors.

My feelings exactly all negatives glossed over any thing that he likes he talks about extensively. Tiny glove box is poor money saving in conversion from left hand drive to right. Vw group don't care enough for right hand drivers to change the fuse box position! That said I do like this car. I do wish reviewers would stop quoting wltp range as if you will ever get near it!
