Maybe AC could actually fly internationally from Ottawa again...pre-covid there were (full) daily flights to London and Frankfurt. Now nothing to Europe. Painful to do the Montreal or Toronto hop when the demand in Canada's fourth largest city is there for European travel.

I don't understand why they need this for North American routes. The regular A321neo would give them the entire continent anyway. But they opted for the 737 Max instead of going with the Neos. Although AC already operated the A320 family before. I bet they regret that decision!

Those "premium cabins" A-321XLRs are good news for all the California based actors, execs, and writers filming year round in Toronto and Montreal. It's actually much closer than Europe, contrary to what this video says, but whatever: it's a great tool to have. Also allows service to Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Columbia, and North Africa - the latter which will delight Montreal's Moroccan community. Great move.
