I think having comparison summary between them all with the stats and rouble costs, and maybe trader levels would be very helpful for people in choosing. It's a lot of information to process :) great stuff! 101 may be the meta, and if you can buy the 102 for cheaper, it does have a similar recoil profile because of the slower fire rate.

The 30 round mag limit is a big deal for solo players. Your clip proves you need to bring lots of mags to make it viable, at least in maps like streets where the risk of running into squads is higher

I have a few friends who just started playing tarkov and are still low level. Without flea they don’t really have access to good weapon mods. I brought them a tricked out 101 and they were blown away by how good it was in comparison to the stock AKs they had previously been running.

Tell them to run UMP's, perfect for a low level budget runner, even with the default ammo it shreds...only downside is 25cap mags.

It's hard to start mid wipe as a new player really - options are really lps + mosin or some kind of leg meta (any semi shotgun, ppsh+drum etc)

@@Gigabeef Not really since this wipe most people use lvl 3-4 armour instead of 5-6 which makes the ump pretty viable even with the default trash ammo. The Ump is also pretty easily moddable and doesn't cost a fortune. Have been using it as my go to budget run, still shreds, killed 2 chads yesterday with it.

There is a build for those "40 ergo" builders that include the gp25 and suppressing it. Effectively use the zenitco b19 and b33 with a rpk tube and fab gl core stock. Using the mini monster suppressor and a knurled charging handle with the sniper grip. Finally using the kobra with the cover and the rd704 enhanced rear sight.

Ive been saying for a while now that they need to add more 5.45 suppressors. It sucks that if you want a silent ak74/ak74u etc. you have to choose between spending 80k+ on the wafflemaker or ruining your recoil with one of the cheaper silencers.

Agreed, a "mid" tier suppressor is sorely lacking. Something that sits in the middle in terms of ergo penalty and recoil would be nice for semi-budget builds.

Nah, instead loud builds should be better for the most part than quiet ones. And most suppressors and scopes (esp lpvos) should be fir only but relatively common on reserve and in military areas

I had my best raid ever this wipe with an AK101 on Customs. Got 7 PMC kills all in and around Dorms, and managed to get out. This thing with 856A1 or better absolutely slaps in PvP. I keep trying to tell my friends but they won't listen to me. Maybe they'll listen to you instead lol

Yeah fr, first few times I spawned in residential district I got lost trying to find the only 2 exits out of there. It's really crummy going in or out since the chance someone is either walking up or is holding it is very high. Your only option is running inside and hoping you can fight it out.

I have a 101 build that comes out at 51 ergo and 36 recoil. The only 'meta' part is the muzzle brake and suppressor. It's a rocking little gun.

there are only 2 options worth considering with AK handguards when doing budget builds. If you only have flea unlocked, and level 1/2 traders, just pay 20k for the meta gas block combo. Any accessible handguard and gas block combo will not touch the -4.5% 10 ergo for 25-30k. Spot on with the VDM set up, as the mounts are cheap enough and accessible enough that once you can get them + an RVG, it has value over just the meta gas block combo.

The TROY is not an option for people with low lvl traders. Sure you can buy the handguard for maybe 30k on the flea but you will run into the problem that you cannot buy a QUARS 4.2 rail mount to even add a foregrip. The rail mounts are never listed on the flea and whenever they do they are crazy expensive.

I'm actually confused as to why the 5.45 AK-74M and AK-105 can't take the CNC warrior adapter. Both bullets are roughly the same size, there is nothing stopping you adding them to those, other than it ain't in the game file, for some reason.

Wish I could play streets but I have bad internet and I die to an invisible player 2/3 raids I do. m856a1 is most definitely headshot ammo, not trying to hate but try to aim for the head a bit more! imo thats where the sweet spot is with the ammo, with most people running ulachs and other class 4 helmets you have a pretty easy time getting at the very least one headshot off with how nice the recoil feels.

You don't need to do anything to the 101 to make it insane. You put on a RRD, MOE HG, MOE AFG, GP-25 Recoil Pad, and thats literally it. The rest is ergo/scope related. Yeah, all the MDR asks for is an AFG and Muzzle device, but that gun just doesn't gas the way the 101 does for me. Besides, these attachments are all essentially free compared to actual meta builds i'd never run. Some people pass up my AK just because it looks stock but actually has 50+ ergo, 50 recoil. Not to mention the 101 beats out both of those in end-built price. Also OP Circle-10 Magazine.

My aks74un has better recoil, is cheaper to setup and has easier to access ammo and better end game ammo options aswell. I love this gun and how it feels but 5.56 is honestly only good cus its best guns fire at 800+ rpm. Save all your 5.55 in ammo boxes for long range adar builds early game and 60 rounder meta hks and m4s at level 4 traders.

8556 A1 can drop players with 1 shot to the thorax, if you slip past the armor. I dropped a guy with a slick as he’d turned to reposition against me. Now that most armor hit boxes are truly accurate, with plate carriers, your sides are almost always completely exposed.
