More like buying a new car every year. Most years, the models will be basically the same as the previous year with minor upgrades, and then every few years there's a larger design change.

Well, prior to this event we have been getting iPhone 17 rumors. Hearing the same information you know already isn't that "exciting". Great phones however.

you know what sucks... that I listened to what everyone else said. don't upgrade, just wait. I have a iPhone 2020, and I waited. and waited and waited. for almost 5 years, and my iPhone SE 2020 is hanging on by a thread. I should've gotten any of the phones, even last year 15 pro max, but then I listened to the rumours and it said, wait for next year. if you wait you're going to be waiting forever. now I'm mourning the time of not using my tech because last year I got engaged, my best friend got married, and I had a phone that wasn't working well to capture those memories and I would give anything to go back and have the iPhone 15 pro max and have those memories... but I waited. now I watched the keynote and was underwhelmed just feeling remorse and I don't know what to do save money or you only live once just get the 16 pro

the Apple Watch being able to run Apple Intelligence, even if just a watered down version, would raise so many pitchforks since the Watch doesn’t even have 1GB of RAM to handle LLMs. the minimum requirement for Apple Intelligence has been 8GB and if Apple would enable a significantly nerfed version for it to work on a measly powered device, it raises ethical concerns why they won’t choose to enable support for iPhone, iPad, and Mac models with lower hardware than we have now.

Tbh as an android user, apple has had this hype for years now, but the smartphone industry has settled for over 3-5 years now, apart from the industry magic kid AI and refinement of the OS and Apps, nothing is needed for the future handheld, and that's perfectly fine

i personally am disappointed with Apple having so much of each product and acting like they are so separate from one another. i can understand it i guess with Mac, but for iPhone and iPads it is just getting ridiculous of how many variants there are of each product. the Airpods Max was such a whiff for this event and many people were waiting on a legit upgrade.

I think your expectations for having AI on the watch is actually misplaced. You’ve been in this game long enough. You know that Apple launches a new feature on one device And then milks it for the next few years, adding it to different or lesser devices. as you said also, it’s not even ready for the phone yet on lunch, so there’s no possibility to launch it on the watch. Still, even if it was ready for all of the devices, they would only launch it on the phone first.

I’ve only skipped a couple of iPhones in the last 17 years. The 4s, 11 Pro & 14 Pro. Looks like the 16 Pro is going on that list as well. None of the other products announced had my attention either. more excited about new macs announced soon, especially the rumoured smaller m4 Mac mini

I have the base model M1 Pro 14inch Macbook Pro due to editing videos on Final Cut Pro X as my work... M already frustrated with the limitations when it comes to effects, features or even updates offered by apple for Final Cut Pro compared to Premiere, Da Vinci or even Capcut already for the sake of good lord. Honestly, I don't care what apple does to their iphones when launched every year as I have the iphone 11 which is working fine with ease. The only product I am looking forward to would be giving a thought to the 4th gen airpods without the active noise cancellation.

This is almost entirely due to apple as a company, simply not innovating anymore. I personally cannot wait until iphones are considered out of fashion.
