The biggest problem with the Tuono is that it makes every other bike you ride feel inadequate. After 3 and a half years of riding them I'm still in love and in awe every time I throw a leg over.

Mate, I feel exactly the same. Test rode the Duke, S1000r, owned superbikes but nothing ....NOTHING comes close to the is soul moving machine! That V4 fucks me hard in the ear pussy!👂💃

I would love to get one but here in Calgary, Alberta, there are no longer any Aprilia/MG/MV Augusta dealers. I will stick with my '98 VFR. Agree with you on the power band, 4-12K, simply amazing. Mine has a Staintune pipe and wow does it sound great combined with the gear driven cams. Good video on this and the Energica. Cam

M Motorcycles I just checked out your paint videos (I used to have a 95 ZX-6R) and loved them! There’s a little shop in Austin, Tx named AF1 Racing you should check out ;)

I have a 1199s and a Tuono.. Guess which one gets most use?
@MrAlphadeltabravo4 жыл бұрын
Its actually pronounced 'Tu oh no' not twarno. You need to fit the acro exhaust to get the full aural experience as it deletes the catalytic converter which is in that vast end can.

The worst thing about owning a Tuono is the dealer network. If you own one of these, prepare to learn how to do a substantial amount of wrenching or deal with the massive headache that is working with an Aprilia dealer. Having said that, I would buy one again in a heartbeat.

I second this. I’m in the northern Virginia/DC area and I drive out over 2 hours to Xtreme Powersports In West Maryland for service. The dealership I bought my 17 TV4 1100 had a major revolt and the new regime managed to perform even worse than the previous version. I am still waiting for them to call me to get my Brembo brake master cylinder recall done... hav had it done for over a year by XPS. I even had the new GM literally argue with me about a spare key replacement that I ordered before the dealership changed. I had the invoice and receipt in hand, guy claimed that I could not have ordered it because he would have had to have ok’d it...well their parts guy had it sitting behind the parts counter when I showed up there, in a box with my name on it. The GM was nowhere to be found and the parts guy was like “ I don’t know what’s up with that guy...” I have never set foot in there again. So year, their dealer network has issues. But XPS in Accident , MD is a good one.

@@marshallrodriguez2993 Sounds like La Moto. That's where I got mine from. Horrible experience.
@marshallrodriguez29934 жыл бұрын
Wow, just wow. Yes that is where I bought my tuono. A real damn shame too, I got on great with Stephanie, but everything else was a shite show. When I took delivery, brand new out of the crate, they service tech did NOT TIGHTEN the oil fill cap! So first ride home I get off the bike and my wife asks me what the hell is all over my right leg and boot... OIL sprayed all over me. By the grace of God none reached the rear tire and caused an accident. Unfortunately, that's not the only bad story with La Moto. So now I go to XPS for Aprilia specific service or stay local with Jason Brooks or Rick at RNR.

I have this bike! 175hp not impressive?? I double dare You! 🤣
@TheMotopologist5 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong 175hp is impressive in and of itself! Where the spec sheet makes it seem less impressive is compared to the sister bike the RSV4 1100 Factory making 20% more power
@Csirkefoga5 жыл бұрын
The Motopologist got that! But You can't use that on the stteet and the big surplus comss in at top end which is @ like 13-14k reva. Where can You use that in street riding?
@TheMotopologist5 жыл бұрын
@@Csirkefoga Eh, we have some big long roads here in Texas, but you are correct for most street riding the Tuono is more than enough when looked at alone. The RSV4's dont come onto power near as early in the RPM range which is why at 7:26 I praise the Tuono for its power band. I think we're roughly on the same page here. Where are you located?

@@TheMotopologist maybe when I've got a few more euros. The Griso will never be sold! Kinda think it's too much performance for the road, but I guess you can get used to it.
