I love the new updated AEV chassis and I preordered this probably around 2014 - 2015. I still got the certificate! I've seen this company goes thru it's peaks and valleys and I was pleasantly surprise to see a newsletter from them several months ago. Thanks to the Lit Team for the update!

Danny K., I can see the church I attended (downtown PDX) between elapsed time 1:48 to 1:54. The church is pretty much in the center of this sweeping shot. This shot is looking east (towards Mt. Hood) in the morning. Passing over Lincoln Highschool west side of I-405.

The proposed design from Huge looks really good. I like that it covers the front wheel more, though I can’t say for sure if I’m thinking about it as armor or aerodynamics. But the lines look more defined.

I've been interested in gyro bikes of lit motors for a long time. You had a hard time due to a big accident, but I'm glad you recovered well. I hope you launch the product successfully next year. And I have a question. Isn't the energy consumption too high for the mileage in the area where the gyro has to continue to return to high-speed RPM? It would be great if there is no problem with that part. from Korea
@danoflit6 ай бұрын
Thanks Weiss. I appreciate it. The CMGs don’t consume much energy once up and running. This is why most satellites have adopted using CMGs due to speed of attitude control and longevity. Thx!

When the gyroscopes are keeping it totally straight and upright, how does it overcome this force to lean naturally into turns?
@geemy96754 ай бұрын
I guess the gyroscopes are mounted in rotating assembly that keeps the gyroscopes upright when leaning. keeping the gyroscopes upright means no resistance to the bike cornering (rotating around z axis) while still preventing wheelies/diving under braking. I don't know about the gyroscopes spinning full speed when cruising on the highway though. sound like a 2 wheel natural ability to be stable at speed makes it somewhat redundant unless you have strong wind gusts. at anything but stop or extremely low speed, it's quite easy to balance a two wheeler and perfect stability could be achieved With much lower complexity with steer by wire. With no steering input it could go perfectly straight whatever wind/road gradient and any steering input could be translated into leaning the bike. you could even implement different ride modes -car-like steering wheel where the vehicle means/corners proportionally to the steering position -motoecycle-loke handle bqr. that mimics traditional motorcycle counter steering and maintaining a stable lean angle with little to no input throughout a corner and requiring input only to change the lean angle/cornering radius. this could appeal to both car drivers and motorcycle riders.

I have been following this vehicle design basically from day one. Why ?, because the design just makes so much sense to me, and really has so much potential (plus, i really like the design, it just looks so smooth). From my perspective, the best vehicles for dense inner-city and urban environment public transport, would be to have 1 to 2 person vehicles, on 2 , 3, or 4 wheels, with a range of up to about 100 to 200 miles, which would make the current C-1 iteration under development the most efficient version of the bunch, especially with regards to pure people moving from A to B. Should this vehicle become successful (which i really hope for), i can foresee a great future for this design. Other future developments could make this a real game changer, like wireless charging (either stationary, or even while driving, giving it even more range ?), and, over time, could be very interesting as a possible robo-taxi as well ? The only real issue i ever had with the original design though, to a certain degree, had to deal with cargo space (or the apparent lack there-of), but that would only be a minor issue right now, in my book. Maybe, in time, there could be a courier version perhaps, or a C-1.5, or plus version ? In any case, i wish you good luck in all your endeavors.

I'm so curious about the feeling of sitting inside a vehicle's seat while it leans into corners. for people who have never ridden a motorcycle, cornering with the combined gravity and centrifugal force pushing you "vertically" into the seat rather than towards the outside of the corner makes fora much more pleasant experience on a twisty road/circuit. most people on bicycle have never experienced the lean angles / cornering speed that a motorcycle can achieve. no need for bucket seats even while cornering like a supercar at the lilit of the grip (45°, 1G lateral) . the ultimate ride comfort IMO would be combination of enclosed 2 wheeler, electric single speed powertrain, with the kind of (TRUE, like bose suspension) active suspension that is starting to appear in cars (taycan GT, ferrari purosangue, Nio ET9) this would be as close to a magic carpet as possible. active suspension in cars enables the capability to lean into corners, but very limited by the suspension travel

very interesting prototype, I never heard about this project. aero drag is the single biggest factor that makes electric motorcycle not viable for long distance highway speed driving. reducing drag increases speed, acceleration at highway speeds, range AND charging speed (miles/min). I know not feeling the wind is going to be a let down for a lot of motorcyclists but we (responsible motorcyclists) do wear helmets even if it gets in the way of "freedom". wearing lighter gear in winter and summer, lighter/no helmet, ac is also getting back a lot of freedom and you could imaginz a retractable wind shield when range is not a priority, the bike would still be vastly more efficient (a short windshield can redirect most air flow above the fairing) but why name it after bmw faired scooter? (lawsuits incoming?) regarding safety it would be very interesting to see the real world benefit of the fairing integrating roll bars/survival cell

I put in my pre-order for the Lit C-1 in 2014. I'm excited that they've finally been able to get the financial support needed to bring it to fruition. Sadly, by the time this comes to production, I'll be retired on a fixed income and will likely not be able to actually buy one. I'm glad that my comparatively small contribution helped bring the C-1 to market. Maybe I'll be able to afford the Kubo for the good-weather months! :)
