I stocked up on meat and water and I'm determined to stick with this diet. I watch endless videos of people who are doing very well and not only look great but have ridden themselves of diseases. I had an issue with binge eating, and now I've been eating one whole meal and I feel perfectly fine until I eat again and can fast with no problem. I need to lose 60 lbs and the best part is that I don't even feel the inflammation and joint pain within just a short period of time of being on this diet.

Hey doctor I started carnivore because of my blood pressure. I'm on three medications for blood pressure and all those medications are doing is treating my symptoms and not fixing the problem. So my blood pressure is dramatically dropped I'm still taking some of the medicine as I wean myself off it I'm taking some homocysteine supplements to try to help with the blood pressure also. But after I started carnivore I didn't do it to lose weight but I lost 30 lb. The biggest thing that I was not expecting was all the inflammation in my joints and my pain that I'm in every day has almost disappeared this is truly life-changing for me. I'm 62 years old retired police officer and I've had a whole bunch of injuries because of other people's stupidity let's just leave it at that. I'm truly amazed at how different my life is and I've only been doing it for 2 months

After 5 years carnivore/ketovore, I have had to radically increase my fat intake by adding beef fat trimmings. After I reached my ideal body composition about 3 years ago eating mostly OMAD and 2MAD, I began to slowly, but steadily feel worse and worse. No energy, my legs felt like they were made of lead, anxiety and depression returned, hunger was through the roof. I tried to "carnivore harder," by eating more fatty meat, going to 3 meals, but that didn't help. And it made me feel worse, really, and my face rapidly aged. About a month ago, I decided to try a loose version of Dr Bright's protocol with very high fat, 3 meals and 2 snacks. Wow, what a difference! I have energy now, people are commenting that my skin looks so good and I look younger. I'm sleeping better, too.

I have been taking Benfotiamine, for one month, at high doses ,to bring the levels up. I ran out for now and ordered more and am back to no energy, headaches, joint pain. Eating any plants seems to make me worse. I am not able to eat much beef because we cant afford it. So its mostly pork, chicken and turkey, with some sardines, chicken liver and tuna. Since I don't have a gallbladder and have low stomach acid, I have a problem with high fat and digestion, and started taking Betaine HCL. I think that is part of the problem....not being able to digest protein and fat. I am eating smaller meals, more often but am not able to have many good days in a row.

I am low energy just as before. I haven't changed my diet at all... Even for Thanksgiving. I take electrolytes and drink 100 plus oz of water a day and still have leg cramps. I'm not going to stop because I just have a feeling in my gut that this is the right way go. Speaking of my gut. For a couple years before I started carnivore I used to get minor pains in different areas of my stomach... that has all disappeared. When I started, I gave myself 3 months. Now, even though I haven't experienced all the benefits, I'm going to try to give it a year.

@kenwagner5667 I don’t know if this will help you or not but it’s helped me tremendously… dry fasting. In other words, no food and no water. You may need to work up to it but I do a rolling 36 hour dry fast then drink water for about 3 hours to start rehydrating then eat at least two or three times and finish drinking at 7pm and go back into dry fasting for another 36 hours. There are quite a few videos on the benefit of dry fasting. One day of dry fasting is like three days of water fasting and the benefits are extraordinary. I don’t do the longer 5 - 7 day dry fasting cause the rolling 36’s are working so well. Anyway, it might be something to look into to see if it changes anything for you. Merry Christmas and best wishes to you!

Dr. Hampton, thank you very much for this educational video. Yes, the Carnivore Diet is More Powerful Than we think. You have conveyed this critical information effectively, and I confidently agree with all your points. My father was diagnosed with end-stage prostate cancer, and things deteriorated significantly after he underwent radiation therapy to address metastases. Cachexia also set in, and he began reacting poorly to antibiotics. The doctors gave up on us, but I refused to lose hope. Determined to understand the biology of cancer cells, I learned that they primarily draw energy from fermentable fuels. Based on this understanding, all carbohydrates, including fruits was eliminated, from his diet. The improvement in his health and skin was remarkable. Eventually, transitioned him to a carnivore diet, despite initial skepticism from others. Today, I am proud to say that bold step paid off. I am on a carnivore diet myself. My father is a living proof of the impact diet can have on health. Your work will make a difference for those who heed to your advise if not today, tomorrow. Please continue the excellent work you are doing despite the odds!

Great presentation, as always! Almost 3 years ago I went low carb a few weeks, then keto - and then a year or a bit more later began switching to carnivore. Can't quite recall - been carnivore over a year. On keto my type 2 diabetes went into remission in 3-4 months. A1c down to 5.2. Lost a ton of weight. Felt much better - brain fog and depression gone. Got a weight loss stall until I went carnivore, then weight loss continued. Down 80 lbs. No longer obese. Can sprint (pretty fast for someone who is "not young" anymore). So many other health issues got better. My wife, who did carnivore before me, went off her depression meds about 2 years ago and is doing great. It's as if her depression is cured. A lot of people w mental health issues report improved symptoms or "cure" (i.e. off meds with no meaningful mental health symptoms) on keto or carnivore. Dr. Chris Palmer of Harvard says 3 months of doing at least a serious keto diet is necessary, that light ketosis seems not to work. Her IBS also went away on carnivore - it got better on keto but didn't go away or go into remission until she did carnivore. And her joint pain is greatly reduced on carnivore. Dr. Paul Mason reports that fatty liver may cause osteoarthritis. We make a tiny amount of matrix metaloprotinase in the liver normally, not enough to hurt joints. But a fatty liver - from carb and maybe seed oil consumption - can make too much of this chemical. Cartilage on, for example, the leg bones that "meet" at the knee, caps them - protects them. It is cells that make a matrix of proteins. Matrix metalo-protinase in sufficient amount - like from fatty liver - can degrade and basically destroy this matrix of proteins. Carnivore diet ends fatty liver pretty quickly. Keep up the great work, Dr. H, please! You're making a huge difference!

I've been carnivore since July last year. I'm still having good weight loss. It can be frustrating as I still need to lose a lot more. I went for my first walk in months. I have a cyst in my hip. Its been very painful. I get a lot of internal bleeding. I would be in a bad way if it were not for carnivore. I'm on a lot of waiting lists for surgery in Australia. I'm having skin cancer surgery in January. It was supposed to originally take place in October. Even though I probably need four or five general anaesthetics and live with chronic pain I've been able to start a KZbin channel and make some delectable carnivore recipes. I can't wait to be well. It would be so amazing to run or walk without pain. Without carnivore I can't imagine how bad things would be. God blood you Dr Tony. I'm sending love your way. It is a relief '(unless you.have a butchers shop) to get health advice from someone who isn't trying to sell or promote something. As a 78 year old woman, a long time carnivore and beneficiary... and with the greatest respect, i do not need your advice, but so glad you are sharing your expertise, and others are receiving it. Before carnivore, I had every problem imaginable, notably the worst was joint pain to the extent i couldn't walk and Itching until I scraped my skin with a fork until it bled. . Even the keto diet only improved the conditions slightly. My doctor, in those days, prescribed opiates, steroids, and after a short course, examined me and said i had an irregulat heart beat and gave me some pills, which he said I must take as he feared I may be at risk of a stroke. Personally, far from helping my conditions, these drugs caused other problems. I did express my concern. The reply was effectively.....''Come back when you have obtaied your medical degree.'' That was a long time ago. I returned the pills to the chemist for the disposal of these dangrous drugs, and crossed my doctor off my Christmas card list. I haven't had a doctor for 20+ years. Then, my daughter was diagnosed with Cancer. Can imagine my dillemma?. My personal opinion and experience of the carnivore diet and the anecdotal tales of others' was now in direct conflict with the medical profession who were insisting upon Chemo-therapy and radiation treatment, to the point of bullying. . What would you do? I merely suggested that she should, before she made her own decision, try the carnivore way of eating. That was ten years ago. She is Cancer free, without the help of chemo, radiation or the drugs of .the 'medical' profession. There are however, drawbacks to the carnivore diet.... Number I: COST. The advice given by folks who are quite well off, compared to those of us less financially fortunate, (and of which I am one) and the cost of meat being what it is... is 'off-putting'. Beef, grass fed and finished, is of course the optimal., but pork, and especially mutton (old lamb) is cheap and merely requires longer cooking time in casserole form. Sardines and mackeral, the source of Omega 3, have, for me, the most disgusting taste. But, a mayonaisse made from Creme Fraiche.. (sour cream) with mustard, white vinegar and a liitle garlic or onion powder, although plant based, works wonders. and should not interfere with the carnivore process. Can't afford bacon? Well just have a load of fried eggs in butter and some pancakes made of cream cheese and sour cream. You Tube is full of cheap recipes for carnivores. Even if some days of eating only protein can be monotonous, (lets be honest, , mmmm?) The relief from monotonous constant pain, makes it all worth it. Number 2: OTHER PEOPLE. In the beginning, folks tried to convince me I had an eating disorder. My excess weight was disappearing to the extent I lost 40 kilos, 88lbs. in less than six months. My BMI was 19. I was not hungry, and eventually ended up eating one meal a day. In spite of the fact I was now fit and well and could not only walk properly again, but had taken up my old passion of cycling,, my relatives and friends were horrified! They tried to convnce me I had anorexia, as I was now unrecognisable from the fat lump they knew and loved.. they kept up the onslaught of doom and gloom, convinced if i continued, I was surely going to die. Sometimes, I think they are quite upset that i am not dead, and haven't had the decency to prove them right. Hope my story has helped those of you are 'dithering;' on the value of a carivore diet. Vee xx

Being vegeterian often has nothing to do with health. Even if you gave 100 health reasons to be carnivorous, it would make no difference. The idea behind being vegeterian is not linked to diet quality, it is to not kill any animals (including fish! They too are animals!), killing (whether hunting, fishing or slaughtering) which creates completely unnecessary suffering to animals. Having turned vegetarian eight years ago (turning 67 very soon), I have not encountered any health issues whatsoever since changing my diet. Not one. But my conscience is appeased. There's no way back.

I went on a carnivore diet all most two years ago. Didn't need to lose weight but went on it for autoimmune disease, two kinds of arthritis. After about 6 months started to feel better then it was like it all went south. For the last 15 months my joints have gotten so bad. Am scheduled for knee replacement in February on one knee. Can't have both done because my left elbow hurts so bad it can't support me on a walker. So I would say carnivore doesn't work for everyone. Still do not eat the sad diet but more keto now.

You can fix arthritis with a very low fat whole food plant based diet. A lot of the inflammation is from Omega 6 fat which are prominently in animal fats and oil. Cut the fat and the Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio in your body will change and your joint pain will improve greatly. Bean, lentils, oats, brown rice, sprouted flourless bread, potato, fruit, veg. lentil soup, bean chilli, and burritos to name a few. Good luck.

@georgewilson7808 I agree that it is an important study, especially for people who eat them as a large portion of their diet. Personally, I have been carnivore for almost a year. I have added a few vegetables 2-3 times a week because I enjoy them, and they have proved to cause little inflammatory reactions other than occasional gas. I also enjoy legumes and ate them frequently before carnivore. When I tried them again, several times, by the next day, my arthritic hip was very painful, and my joints ached again too, the same reactions I had when I indulged twice in high sugar/grains desserts for special occasions. Eating lentils and beans may prolong my life a bit, but after living almost pain-free for a year, after 20+ years of pain, I will never go back to a full omnivore/leaning towards vegetarian diet. I am so grateful that every morning, I can now jump right into my day without having to take high-dose ibuprofen and an hour on heating pads just to get moving, including later in the day too, especially in bad weather! I'm only 52, and I was being held back from things I wanted to do because of unnecessary pain, and threat of a hip replacement. I don't want to live longer in self/diet inflicted life-restraining pain. What kind of life is that? I'm free and living my best life now! Never going back!

@@GreatLakesGirl311A bigger factor in joint pain is the omega 6 vs. omega 3 ratio.
