Egg shells are direct correlation to age of laying hen. That and observing the height and color of the yolk will tell you how "old" the hen is. Thicker shell, taller, more yellow yolk is fresher and good!

Just started a carnivore diet yesterday. Hoping to be able to reverse my type 2 diabetes and get some relief from the tons of inflammation in my body. 🤞
@KarlaBening-zc7vl24 күн бұрын
Me Too. Started this week. CAD disease, inflammation.
@Barefootkid618 күн бұрын
When I started I was a vegan and in so much pain I couldn't walk. For 3 days I peed out all that inflammation from the veg and fruit, and by the end of the week I could walk, I haven't had any joint pain since. I now fast 25 to 30 hrs before I eat, and it keeps the inflammation down. I have lipedima, this way of life is the only thing that helps keep lipedima at bay. I'm very fortunate I am only a stage 2, and will be able to keep it that way as long as I fast and eat carnivore, low carb Let me add that when I was vegan I gained weight and after I stopped eating vegan I haven't had any problems with inflammation.
@QnBrunhildis2 күн бұрын
You definitely will reverse the type 2. I did in 3 months time. Stick to the carnivore diet...no cheating on it. Make sure you chart your A1c monthly. Walmart sells the at home A1c tests. There are 2 per box. Kept with the other diabetic supplies. These tests are spot on with the ones the Dr's office does. Just make sure you take the test fasting first thing in the morning. Make sure you've not had anything for 12 hours but water. You can drink sparkling water if you enjoy the fizz you get from sodas. Remember, read labels on everything. Even fake sugars count as sugar even if it doesn't say so. You want to be as low carb as you can get. It's the easiest diet and yet the hardest too. Easy because it only takes a moment to decide what to eat. The hardest because it can get boring and no matter what other people say, you WILL still have some cravings. You'll be glad you went carnivore when your diabetes is gone along with other health issues.
@COVID-cm4rn8 сағат бұрын
I started on keto 3 months ago and lost 30lbs. and brought my A1c down from 11.1 to 6.9. It can be done.

My husband makes our own tallow. When we bake them first and then fry in tallow, you can get them extra crispy. Then toss with seasoning or a mix of butter and hot sauce for hot wings. Yummy!

You are so right about the eggs. I get eggs from my neighbor that has chickens. The shells are so thick and hard. If she doesn't have enough I get them at Costco or Sam's and the shells are so weak in comparison. Can't wait to try your chicken wings! Thanks !

As a life long lover of cooking, I’m typically hesitant about recipes like this “faux breaded” wings but I had some wings and pork rinds and decided to give it a try. I’m truly impressed. I just started this carnivore diet recently but this is a recipe I can see using even if I wasn’t on a a carnivore diet. The biggest benefit over flour breading is this “breading” stays crispy. This is a winner!
@DonnaHarper-lg9pwАй бұрын
After we cook our wings, I brown butter & add minced garlic & a little hot sauce in the melted butter, then we use the butter as a dip or just pour over the wings & toss them. I don’t do any type of breading but I will be doing this for sure! 😊😋😋😋

I have been making this 50/50 pork rind/parmesan breading for over a year and I use it to deep fry fish or chicken. I found out by chance one day where, not having enough pork rind crumbs, I tried to add more parmesan to it and it worked better than anything I've tried before. I use the very dry powdery parmesan as it makes a better coating and stays on well when deep frying in fat and....the food is not greasy at all! I have even made crispy egg rolls with it.

We use the airfryer that is also an oven. I line the basket with parchment paper. Dry the skin, liberal Redmond's and put a bit of lard on each wing and air dry, Turing half way. I then turn back and grill. The skin gets so crispy. I can wait though to try these.

The egg shells are thinner on conventional(and more so than they used to be I’ve also noticed), it has to do with the health of the chickens. On a higher quality egg, the shells are definitely different
@VeldaE12Ай бұрын
It’s more the nutrition and age of chickens - shells are a matrix with minerals such as calcium. Not enough minerals weakens shells. A chicken can be healthy by industry standards yet low in minerals and lay eggs with weak shell.

I can eat 20 or so wings but am good with 5 or 6 legs legs are 99cents to around 1.39 per lb wings are around 2.50 to 3.50 per lb. And why are people still trolling lmnt if you do not want maltodextrin use the plain unflavored at least lmnt sponsors videos to help people out .

We make the drumette portion of the wings all the time and they come out really crispy in a much simpler way although I am sure yours are amazing. We just put a bunch of the drumettes on parchment in the oven at 450 after about 30 minutes or so. I take them out and brush them with melted butter and add seasoning and put them back in for maybe five more minutes and they are crunchy. We do add buffalo sauce or barbecue sauce or teriyaki sauce afterwards.

My main cheat that I use with chicken wings because it seems to be OK for me personally is the use of some cornstarch and baking powder to make the chicken wings extra crispy in the oven! But there are otherwise really basic it’s basically a teaspoon each of those two plus a teaspoon of salt For each pound of chicken wings and I absolutely love these as one of my go to carnivore snacks! Even if you don’t use the cornstarch or baking powder which really helped the other thing I do is to lay them all out on a wire rack on a baking sheet with the salt overnight in the fridge which helps get them extra dry. So this might be a way to get some crunchy wings perhaps even without the baking powder or cornstarch.
@Gaby-wm1boАй бұрын
Definitely agree with the eggs now. They do crumble when you’re pouring it in the pan. But I do seem to find the brown eggs crack less. But because of pricing I get the white eggs from Costco
@has2525216 күн бұрын
You're not wrong about the eggs being more fragile. I have lived off and on in Eastern Europe and the eggs there are different - shells are much harder and don't crack as easily. I think it's from a general decline in the health of the poultry and what they are feeding them.
