We got a slow start last year but as soon as we got Knobs as Coach things turned around. But this year we got a banged up few guys and new players. No worries here Locked on Oilers love my Oilers love my Stu Skinner!

I think with the start they had last season, they will come out guns blazing to make sure that doesn't happen again. And they are capable to outscore their flaws.

The remarkable turnaround by the Oilers from having lingered near the bottom of the NHL standings 20 games into last regular season to seconds in the Pacific was rather unusual for a team that start off so poorly. Fans of the Sens should not get their hopes up if their favourite team starts this regular season off as badly as last season’s Oilers did. Last season’s Global Series in Sweden (16-19 November Mountain Standard Time) featured the Leafs, Sens, Wings and Wild. Going into that Series the win-regulation loss-OT loss-shootout loss of the: - Oilers had been 5-9-1-0 - Leafs had been 8-5-1-1 - Sens had been 8-7-0-0 Yet before last postseason, but from the Global Series onward, the record of the: - Oilers was 44-18-4-1 - Leafs was 38-21-7-1 - Sens was by contrast just 29-34-4-0 (even with, like with the Leafs, having won both games of the Global Series)

guns blazing, nothing slow about the start we're about to see soon! When they have about 10 points buffer, they may show some 'resting-signs', not before that! There are too many hugnry-wolfs on the roster who want to 'show' their new 'self', starting but not limited to Leon. Hymann will want to show his status vs Arvidson and Skinner; Arvidson and Sinner will want to give it all for their unique positions and opportunities. Bouchard wants to play for his next contract, no way he will slow down. RNH same reasoning as Hymann. McDrai also plays for his new contract, and to beat several milestones. New guys, Emberson and Podkolzin want to 'catch' the team. I don't see anyone in a position to 'slow-down'. Plus they will get soon an new D, probably Anderson. NO WAY you will see a slow-down in this context.

@@Hockeygod09 Offense rules the regular season. They can add a good d-man at the deadline and be fine.
