I worked for a full year as a quality control and as a director of a quality control dept. and I can assure you, this is NOT a quality control issue. You can't audit every single piece that comes out of your production line, it is impossible, unless you are manufacturing very low quantity and/or the client demands you to do so. If the client asks you to do so; you'll need to provide some kind of inspection sheet proving everything is right with every single items, if he doesn't, then you only need to inspect a specific amount of items out of your production line. For example, if your production for the day is supposed to be 1000 items, you could simply inspect 10 of them and assume that all of the 990 other ones will be identical, if your production is 100 000 items, then you may need to inspect 3 000 items. Then, if a percentage of these inspected items is wrong, you don't allow the production to go out, otherwise it can. I know, I sum'd it up very quickly, because there are a LOT of different ways of inspecting a product, depending on what your business does, but that is USUALLY the way to do it. I was working in a ISO 9001 company, and I had to make the "QC book" for the company and I had to take classes for it. SO, in this specific instance, all of the wires could've been properly sized and bent, all of the blades, heads, skirt, beads, etc, could've been perfect too individually. In the sample size inspected by the company who manufactures the clickbaits, everything could've been respecting the requirements (for example, 1 000 correct items out of 10 000). You may just have gotten a bad one out of the 10 000 production line of that specific day, that's about it. No, I'm not preaching for Googan or Catch Co, I bought Googan baits for the first time last month and haven't even fished one yet (I live in Canada, everything's frozen where I live), I'm just stating facts. The issue is moreso a design flaw. They could simply add a little cavity in the head and have the wire be a little longer and then epoxy it in place (to add rigidity), or they could add the wires during the head's mold pouring process and that would stiffen it up even more. They could use a stiffer type of metal too, but then it may be too stiff and break the head or break the wire too quickly if you get a "mondo" (as they call it). I like the fact that you show one of the only way to correct the issue for now though, by bending it back towards the head, I like the fact you went through and compared 2 identical lures of which 1 works and the other didn't (properly) work. However, I dislike how you call it the worst lure they ever made, not talking about the Hummer or Zinger, where the wire can be bent even more easily and, according to a few Googans themselves, make or break the lure. They often complain that others company don't come as well packaged as theirs, so the wire are bent improperly or the blades are messed up... I also dislike how you say that they are cheap bait without comparing the quality of the materials and whatnot to other companies... etc.

That is very interesting and thank you for providing some insight to the quality control issue. Now addressing the last points you made to defend myself. I will say that the Zinger and the Hummer aren’t their best baits but I don’t think they’re as bad as the Clickbait. The reason I labeled it the worst Googan bait ever is because it not only has the possibility of breaking but it also doesn’t even do what the description says it should do. The Hummer and the Zinger both will work properly in the water, but with the possibility of breaking. I apologize I didn’t compare the quality of materials with other chatter baits to prove that it is cheaply made. I didn’t want to draw out the video. But I did briefly mention that it was poorly made which I should have left out if I wasn’t going to provide evidence for that.

@@TylersFishingPosts What if you bent the wire on the Zinger/Hummer, would it still work as described? They are not connected anywhere except at the head, so bending the wire should in theory make them float or dive more, depending on how it is bent, so, it would be the same issue as with this bait, no? I understand what you mean, but to me the Zinger/Hummer would be the worst ones, because they are super easy to bend and thus modify how they should work, this chatterbait, you can simply bend it back towards the head as you showcased. Of course, it may break at the head or break the head itself with multiple re-bends, but you can always "bring it back" to how it is supposed to work (until it breaks), the Zinger/Hummer, you would need to bend them back almost perfectly for them to work properly again because they could also be bent sideways, on this bait it would be harder to bend it sideways (not impossible, but not as easily as with the long wires of the other 2 baits). Don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying you're bad or anything, just stating that I didn't like how you phrased it ;) I agree, there's improvements to be done to each of those 3 lures, but I don't think that the possibility of the wire breaking at the head or breaking the head itself makes it "the worst lure" when you can simply look at a wire and ta-dam, the lure doesn't work properly anymore (referencing the Zinger/Hummer and comments made by, I BELIEVE' Norm from Googan Squad himself in a few videos (I don't recall which ones, but I'm pretty sure it was him)

All Googan baits are the worst baits ever. They're over priced copies of other baits. If I want a chatterbait I'm buying a zman chatter bait. For less money. Milliken did a good video showing how Googan copied the 6th Sense cranks.

Same overseas manufacturer makes the blanks for both companies crankbaits. So there are going to be a lot of similarities. That doesn’t mean Googan ripped off of 6th sense. And quite frankly Milliken is a douche. Met him in person once before, back when I was a huge supporter of his channel. Wanted a picture with him and he literally shoved me away. And as far as 6th sense goes their soft plastics are the worst in the game. They star to tear off the hook after just a few casts. Don’t even have to catch a fish for them to start tearing. I don’t have that issue with a bandito bug or a Googan dart. I can catch 4 or 5 fish off of one of those before I change it out.

It’s definitely my least favorite hogan bait. But it’s not as bad when you understand that they engineered this bait to be tuned to the depth of water that you are fishing. MTB released several descriptors that tell how to use it properly, but it really needs to be made more clear on their sites and on the packaging of the clickbait.

I own a few of these and my only gripe is that after a few casts I got to give it a jerk to start the vibration. I also watched an interview with AP when they were dropping and he said you can bend the wire to go deeper or more shallow. With all that said , I’ve caught more fish on a jackhammer than my clickbaits

Thanks for your info. I just bought one, mainly to try to catch striped bass off the Jersey coast. I'll be sure to bring other baits along! FYI... I have been in wholesale biz for some time. It is quite possible that someone or some company in China developed this style and presented it to Googan. It the giftware bis, this happens quite often. Nobody admits to this because they want the buying public to think that they are the 'grand designers'... not always true! These China manufactures want to keep up their sales and quite often they are designing the products and they presenting their designs to chose wholesalers... don't believe everything you read!!!!

I like this video even if I disagree with your assessment. I do note that it can ride up in the column so I like that it forces me to slow down to keep it down. I like that I can adjust it and I've caught more fish on the clickbait than any of the other brand chatterbaits. To brand this as the worst... I'd have to disagree. But that's the beauty of fishing, to each their own and there's so many brands and techniques to chose from so everyone gets what they want.

I feel like I was watching a 48 hours mystery. Intro: The googan clickbait was like any other bladed jig in America….orrr wassss it. Fade to negative shot of said clickbait 😃 On a side note, I had issues with several original Zman chatterbaits breaking at the top wire, but have caught more fish than almost any other lure in my box with a jackhammer. So I’m sold on that.

The bait is designed to be able to bend the wire to change whatever depth you want it to run so that’s why it is so easy to bend and that’s why it’s not connected to the head. If you don’t like that then don’t use it but I personally like the fact I can change it to whatever depth I’m fishing

Most baits with wire like buzzbaits spinner baits and the clickbait will need to be tuned sometimes right out of the package. It probably shouldn't have to be but that's not always the case. If you carry a spinner bait or buzzbaits around in your tackle box between uses, you will probably have to tune it. I have seen you knocking googan a few times and I'm not sure why and don't really care. I usually like your videos but I'm not too fond of this one. I've never used any of the googan baits so I'm not biased to it, Im just not crazy about putting others down. It makes you look bad. Just My opinion. Keep making videos though dude. I'll keep watching.

Get a slower gear ratio. 7:5:1 is super fast for any type of vibrating jig. Slower gear ratio will have that product possibly doing different things. Not saying that it will, but from my experience, settle between that 6:31-6:8:1 and notice a difference

I mean it's never a terrible idea to try slowing down, especially this time of year, but I have to tell you, I use a TAT8.1 when I'm throwing small chatterbaits like the minimax, and it doesn't blow out. Not like the Clickbait does. Same goes for a jackhammer. Can run them on an 8.1 and not blow them out. Sorta feel like the Googans should put on the package if it should be paired with a certain gear ratio. If your chatterbait will blow out at 7.5, say that.

Yes it does! When I made this video I had an earlier version of it and it didn’t have the instructions on it because they didn’t know the bait had the issue when they released it, which is crazy! I have a bunch of Googan baits. To me, they seem to have much better quality than the more expensive brands. They always have big, sharp hooks. The designs and paint jobs on all their baits are great. I very caught plenty of fish on all of the Googan lures I own and I've never had a hook bend out or a ring snap. As far as the clickbait, I was a little upset when I first got it cuz it kept riding up the top of the water. I fixed it and ever since then it works just fine.

Thanks for the video. Good insight on fixing the issue but this is a common fix on alot of various lures. Example Spinnerbaits that run crooked need tweaking, same with Rapala baits where the eye needs to be bent one way or the other to get it to run straight. Also Heddon Torpedo's need the eye rotated slightly at times to get it to not roll over on retrieve. So not defending the production of Googan baits I do find alot of baits need some kind of tweaking (especially crank baits) So stating it is the worst ever produced lure maybe a bit of an overstatement. But I agree they should rectify the issue in house if possible. Good video and thanks again for the tip and tweak.

Personally I don’t use googan baits because the quality is poor for the price, so I prefer brands like 6th sense strike king z man etc. I used to fish googan baits all the time including the clickbait. They cought fish but their soft plastics tore on the first fish and I’ve had their jerk baits snap after dropping it from around 2 feet. Also their baits are unoriginal, look at the krackin craw, it is literally just a rage craw, the bandito bug is a rage craw and literally all their cranks are 6th sense baits. I don’t hold any respect for their bait company yet I enjoy the KZbinrs that are sponsored by the brand.

This whole video was a guy trying to slick while dogging Googan squad LMAO. This guy says I don't want to bash a company publicly for clout however you said at the end I don't want to see someone get scammed. Scam is a pretty strong word. I've bought lures from all company's and sometimes they might need a bend to a wire or a skirt needs trimmed or glued. I think Googan squad does a great job. I'm sure they a figuring this out as they go and there are going to be mistakes but from everything I've seen they care about their fans and customers and would never scam anyone as you said. I've heard someone say sometimes it's not what you say it's how you say it. In your case it was what you said and how you said it lol.

The Googan Clickbait has way better components than any other bladed jig, the skirt colors, paint, and eyes are far better than any other I've seen. You are correct about them riding up to fast on retrieve, I have a 1/2oz red one that stays down and catches fish. I bought 5 of them really cheap at Academy and was disappointed with them, I thought to myself ''no wonder they were on sale so cheap''. Realized the difference in the wires as to why they ride up so bad. Bending the wire and putting the trailer on sideways help keep it down. Watched a podcast yesterday with Jordan or John (not sure of his name, I'm a 47-year-old Catfisherman lol) on as a guest and he kinda mentioned fixing some problems with certain baits. I just bought 14 of them on Ebay for $42, bent the wires on them but have yet to try em..... We'll see

​@@AsianAmerican113 The jackhammer has the best action and outperforms all other bladed jigs there's no doubt about that. The skirt, eyes, and paint on the Clickbait are better quality in my opinion, it just doesn't have the action or vibration that the jackhammer or original chatterbait does. I have several of each, I actually catch more fish on the original chatterbait. I recently took a pair of wire cutters to several of the clickbaits and made some pretty badass swim jigs out of them. The fact that he called a 47 year old man who has won dozens of fishing tournaments a "kid' was my biggest concern.

Isnt it on the packaging that u can bend it for different depths i rememeber seeing that when i first got one and thought it was pretty cool Its adjustable..
