I love that part in the Bane trilogy where he goes to practice his forms and it starts to rain. And the book goes on to say that Bane was so fast that not a single drop hit him. Man, why can't Disney make these movies instead? Anyways, great video as always.

For me in terms of Power from top to bottom it's Vitiate, Palpatine, Revan, Bane, and Krayt. I think it's obvious Abeloth should be first or even DD Anakin but Abeloth isn't a sith and DD Anakin was never real. In terms of dueling it's probably tied between Palps and Bane with Krayt being second. Revan was definitely the previous chosen one but there's no way he's beating anyone here other than Vitiate in a lightsaber fight

In an almost paradoxical and ironic way, it would seem almost proper and appropriate for Sith to use Jedi forms and concepts, as they serve as a platform to corrupt and manipulate and dominate in and of themselves, which is the essence of being a Sith.

The sice of Bane made a lot of people think he was not to smart either going into the comon belif that a large muscelar person is not that smart but he was realy smart, both in learning force powers, but also realising all the knowledge he could get from the archives aswell as beeing realy good at making plans. one reason why he might have been so patient and acctualy learnt that form to is how close he got to death from beeing poisend by the jedi turned sith that he had a crush on (cant remember her name but she was in the sith academy using a light whip) an event like that would make him realise that he is not invincible despite his massive power in the dark side.

I'd like to see a hard MA sith anthology series focusing on the different major sith lords/eras. Start with King Adas and his war against the Rakata, then on to Ajunta Pal, Nagga Saddow, Exar Kun, Revan, Bane, and others. Every season or every other season changes to a new era and the new sith Lord of the time.

uhm Stupendous, i gotta correct you with this, Bane used Form 3 partially, according to his trilogy books he used the third form when falling back or to catch his breath but his main form was Shien the heavy hitting form, and while Zannah was also taught to use form 3 for defense she due to her small size and agile feet was taught ataru as her main form. (according to the books)

I just read the books again. Bane's primary form was Djem-So (the close-combat branch of Form 5, Shien is the Form 5 branch strongest against ranged combatants) with Soresu as secondary. Zannah's primary form was Soresu.

This even plays into something Sidious mentions to Vader, where a big part of the reason why Sith use Lightsabers is to show that whatever the Jedi can do, the Sith can do it better. So what better way to showcase this then to take a Form that's perfect for the Jedi and twist it into something that can serve the Sith just as well?

I think Bane was right to use form 3 if Jedi and Sith used it more in duals either as primarily or second and master it to highest degree battle will be more in their favor. Image Dooku THE master of form 2 also was the master of form 3 in Revenge of Sith he would last much longer against the soon to be Darth Vader and might even do some real damage to him as well like cutting off his other remaining real hand.

If i was Jedi in any era I would try to master all the lightsaber forms they will allow and with cheater form but use form 3 as main form. Form 6 mostly suck because most Jedi or Sith just stop at the basics but if they master it all the other forms belend them together but used the third as their primary one it will truily will be unstoppable both blaster or even Sith.

To be fair he also taught Suresu to Zannah due to her size in comparison to him. When the rule of two would culminate in his death (assuming essence transfer didn’t take) then she would need every advantage while he could afford to be aggressive. That said if someone as powerful and strong as Bane focused on defense then he’d be near invulnerable, especially when thinking about his “dance in the rain” with his blade.

Zahnna was quite clever with her staff. Realizing something in her reality that our reality has known for literally eons.. Staff an basically anything staff or pole arm like are ACTUALLY GREAT for Defensive fighting especially if your a master of it 1 vs 1 combat. Bane an the Darkside being Sith loves to Corrupt an that's exactly what the Bane Era Sith would've needed to do.. use EVERYTHING they could get to THEIR advantage. If ends justify the means.. like Rule of 2.. then things like Saber styles shouldn't be much different. Not to mention no chance of one of the Sith being killed WAY too early an then the whole thing falls apart when the other gets too zealous or forced to fight more then they can handle at any given time an more aggressive styles may leave them open to dying or capture... Figure for Sith Exar, Vader/Anakin, an Sideous would probably given him the MOST trouble. Jedi wise again Anakin was quite good, but MAYBE Kenobi, Mace, Yoda an later Luke ALL was just as powerful an some like Yoda perhaps even MORE skilled an powerful then Bane even.

Hey I'm gonna go off topic quickly,.. I recently came across a lightsaber,..not sure bt it was called the most deadliest lightsaber in the universe (The Lava Lightsaber),..not powered by the conventional kybercrystal,..bt by a lava crystal,..which could only be found on planets such as Mustafar,... When activated it actually flows abit like lava,..when coming into contact with other lightsabers it would actually short out that lightsaber... So I wanna ask a fava,..if you get the time,..can you find out if there was such a lightsaber & why Darth Vader never attempted to go after 1

I think each sith lord in the rule of two obviously became knowledgeable in every form of light saber combat but chose two specifically to utilize as a shock tactic, as we have seen with Darth traya.... Although not a rule of two sith, She was a master of every form even the more obscure such as being able to use the force to utilise four sabers in different forms, or more recently Quimir using Tra'kata with a hybrid of forms what seems like Juyo & Jar'kai blended with makkashii, personally I think Darth Zannah was a walking wall of agressive defense and goes to show brute force doesn't always succeed.

I think if the sith made the distinction it has the weakest SYNERGY with them but made it a fundamental the jedi would have struggled alot more. But anything not obviously beneficial immediately, especially something that doesn't harness the dark innately is automatically looked at as not worth looking into. Imagine any jedi or sith with telekinetic combat also being a master of sorisu.... Just an impenetrable glowing bubble with an occasional blue/red/green splash deleting an opponent.

he never mastered all forms, but he was very proficient in most. he started with ataru, then switched to djem so. in the end as vader he had a hybrid mix of different forms but even then it wasn’t all forms, only three or four at most mixed together

EU Darth Bane’s head attached to the Disney Wars armor is one of the most cringe things I’ve seen in a long time. His EU armor looked better and had more unique personality. Disney Wars Bane just looks like another Darth Vader knock off. It’s why I pray we never get an Exar Kun or Naga Sadow cameo in Disney Wars, because those Sith didn’t need helmets to look cool.

I don't think he's the greatest in ALL of starwars, but he was the greatest in history up until his death. Kas'im was stated to be possibly the greatest duelist in history, and that was after Tulak Hord was established as more or less the greatest of the old republic. Darth Bane was a better duelist than Kas'im during Bane's prime, so he's atleast Hord level if not better, especially using his fact file remake statement of having "more knowledge and mastery of sith techniques and power than anyone who had come before him."
