I RECOMMEND NEVER GETTING THIS DONE! The stuff I wasn’t told: You will need to maintain the lashes by combing them every morning and night as they do get tangled. The lashes after treatment become brittle so will need conditioning treatment. There is no natural ‘dropping out’; the effect is permanent and so it’s only lost as each curled lash physically falls out meaning months of weird half curled lashes making it look like you’ve gaps! Mascara will look awful as the texture of your lashes changes and so it doesn’t adhere well with end result they just look stringy and thin. Putting on eyeliner is v difficult as the permanently curled eyelashes are in the way. As time goes on some lashes literally just fall on themselves from the base and cut across the other lashes causing future issues so that when new lashes grow through they do so in unnatural directions as they’re usual path is obstructed meaning you getting messy new lashes also. Finally, the really tiny lashes as they grow to a decent length look awful because at baby length only the tip was curled so when they mature into a long lash they have this weird kink at the end! The entire mess can only be resolved once the entire lash cycle has occurred which could be approx 6 months. Personally for me, this has been a nightmare as I had long lashes anyway which looked stunning with eyelash curlers and mascara and I thought the lash lift would make life a lot easier in the mornings but the complete opposite is true! I had mine done by a qualified beautician for £45 (inc tint) and wasn’t told any of the downsides thus enabling me to make a fully informed choice. Despite being qualified she made major errors like not using a fan to waft the fumes away from my eyes which caused a chemical irritation under my eyelids causing me intense dry eyes and irritation which after 3.5 months hasn’t fully resolved. Also although I had a skin test done, I didn’t have one done for the glue tat is used to adhere the protective pads around your eyes and so ended up getting an allergic reaction to that causing me swollen eyes. So that in turn resulted in me spending over £40 in medication to combat this. Therefore, essentially I paid almost £100 to have ugly swollen eyes with messy peculiar lashes! To make matters worse the glue reaction affected the delicate skin around my eyes to the point it developed permanent wrinkles. So all in an absolute disaster and I would usually say make your own minds up but in this case I don’t feel I can say anything other than it’s absolutely not worth it for the end dubious results. I hope this has helped someone out there because as one of the commentators below said there is hardly any ‘cons’ information out there.

They also tell you it only lasts 4-6 weeks. I'm going on week 4 with very effed up eyelashes. I SO regret having it done. And the place I had it done had 5 star reviews!

I had exactly the same experience. The texture of my lashes changing is the most annoying thing. When I wear mascara it looks like shit, and they actually clump together and look shorter now than they did before I had it done.. I can't wait for it to wear off.

This happens when they use too small of a rod to curl your lashes. I had that problem my first time too.. Second time around they used a bigger rod and put it further up from my lashes. Now it's perfect, just like if you curled them with a lash curler.

Same with me. My first go they used small rods and my end of my lashes were complelty curled. My 2nd go my lashes are lifted and long so long and awesome.

What did they look like after a month or so? Just cause same thing happened to me and now I’ve got a really bad opinion of it 😫 mine didn’t even go down after a couple months they started curling into my eyes and they were like frazzled at the ends and so damaged (they didn’t look like that in the begining which is so odd) and same thing happened to my client , she couldn’t have extensions for mooooonths till they acrual went back to normal

Oh dear Mandeep, I'm a beauty therapist and do a lot of lash lifts. What I always encourage people to do is to give me direct feedback- if something was to go wrong I'd want to know about it so I can put it right and to prevent a future occurrence (constructive criticism). The therapist could have done a relax of the lashes because it sounds like she's either used the wrong sized shield, left the lifting solution on too long or not removed all of the lifting solution properly. Also every persons hair is different i.e. If the hair on your head curls very easily and doesn't drop it's very probable that your lashes will be the same so in that case the timings for the solutions to be left on your lashes should be shortened. Your lashes are probably back to normal now and Your experience has probably put you off having them done again which is a shame, but perhaps if you pop in the salon where you had them done and explained they'd probably be very responsive and maybe do them again for you; they will probably act more cautiously knowing the information that you will have provided to them. Worst case scenario they can be relaxed in a few minutes if it all goes wrong. Also ask if they use nourishing solution at the end of the procedure to prevent them from becoming coarse. 😊

I had a worse experience. I won’t go into detail, but eyelashes straight up and pointing in different directions and bottom eyelashes frazzled. Ended up having eyedrops from GP as eyelashes curling into eye on one eye. Much more to it, including going back to salon.Never again and never to be recommend to anyone.

I am licences esthetician and it sounds like she used to small of a rod on you. Plus use a lash primer whether you get a lift or not before you put on mascara. Loved the video.

I too had the exact same experience! I wouldn’t do it again because I love my liquid eyeliner and a great cat eye... nearly impossible with the lash lift. And now I have some sticking up, crossing over each other, falling down. I can’t wait until they’re back to normal!

The moment you're not liking them anymore, start using caster oil every night😁 so the lashes will go back to its original state faster

Your lips look fab! Don't listen to any negative comments. Anyone who criticises your looks, I'm sure does not have model looks themselves. In fact they are probably insecure about their own looks , so don't pay any heed to them. You have great lips! Btw thanks for the vid . I'm thinking of having LVL myself but am still unsure as there are negative and positive reviews. I've had lash extensions but they can be a little bit uncomfortable at times , so I thought LVL would be better.

Thanks for your support! :-) I've never had lash extensions but in my opinion, I love the flexibility of strip lashes and being able to adjust my styles as I feel appropriate. This may be best for me because my lashes are fuller however, a lot of people have has some interesting information about LVL to share in the comments below so take a look and see what you think. At least then if you want to try it out, you can inform the lash tech about your worries and they should be able to get a better idea of what you want and hopefully you'll love them! :-) x

This totally happened to me too. I can’t figure out if my lashes half broken off half way at some points because when I apply mascara, there’s quite a bit of stubbiness. It wasn’t like this. One of my eyes are more curly than the other. It’s a mess. The first time I had this done it was great and this second time has been awful. I don’t know if I’ll ever do it again since the texture is so hard where it’s bent now. I had such beautiful long lashes before so this really sucks!

I've been looking into this today and can't find much information on the downside of this treatment! I got mine down 3 weeks ago and now they just look awful. Some have fallen out, some look stubby and broken and others are pointing in different directions or clumped together. Can't smooth them out at all with mascara on. I asked if they'd grow out normally and was told yes when they obviously don't!

Yep, agree on all points. Eyeliner was hard and putting on false eyelashes were hard. I think it's because my real lashes are naturally so straight that I don't know how to get use to curly one. Also the curl only works if you have length and non-hooded eyes. Sadly I don't have either so it didn't really make much of a difference for me. I ended up just waiting for the lashes to grow out!

My dear I recommend you have a botox protein treatment done that is the same as keratin treatment for your hair that makes it extra conditioned. That way your lashes won't feel so coarse and hard. This makes your lashes ultra soft much better than false lashes. My opinion 😘

Same for me. I'm so disappointed. They are curled so far back into my eyelid and look crappy bc of it. The salon was like oh just use a heated curler. That's not going to fix it. I don't ever complain, but it wasn't inexpensive and not how it should look.

Mine were sort of going straight out and very blonde and I really wear make up like one day a year so I just did it two days ago. I had to retint them myself because she either didn't at all or didn't use a good tint or didn't leave it on long enough but I am loving the lift. I did realize that I can do this all myself tho and I was not happy I had to retint them so I won't be going back to the salon for it. I was wondering what to do in the inbetween when the new lashes are straight out and the old ones are up lol.

I love strip lashes and my top three faves are: Ardell Wispies (for a light look), KOKO Lashes in Queen B (for a medium to full look), and House of Lashes Iconics (for an eye-catching full look). With all lashes don't forget to trim them from the outer edge inwards to fit your eye shape for maximum comfort when wearing them! Hope that helps. :-).

Why can’t you wear lashes with a lash lift tho? Like is that something they tell you to do with a good reason for it ie reactions etc or did you just find it difficult to apply them? (I’m getting mine done in a couple days) x

Hey, I don't remember them telling me not to, I just know I found it really difficult to apply them because the person who did mine messed them up. If you get a good person doing them, you'll get a god look and won't need lashes. Hope it goes well x

Your lashes naturally shed every 4-6 weeks depanding on your lashes which is why lash lift lasts 4-6 weeks. During that time you will notice your lifted lashes falling out and your new growth will start growing in straight or how they normally would. At this this when most are straight and maybe a few are still lifted and theyre starting to get a little wonky looking you would go back into your salon for another lift or let them fully grow out if its not something you want to keep up with. You lose lashes every day and it may seem like all your lashes are gone but they are just growing back in straight. Hope this helped💖

Hey, I used the Lorac Pro Palette on my eyes. I put the colours Taupe in and slightly above my crease and under my lower lash line and the colour Sable to deepen up the actual crease, then for my lid I used the colour Gold. :-)
