Creating a website from scratch like a delicious tray of authentic parmesan spagett cooked Italiano-style gives one a real sense of accomplishment

There's templates and stuff to make it easier, too. It's not like everyone has to make art.

1:20 Inline images was also a really bad idea.. images (as in "figure 1") should be opened in an external image viewer and tables ("table 1") should just open in a spreadsheet and etc… … :sighs:

unfortunately the hardware involved is designed to give the user no more control than necessary....without big demand for alternatives, the battle for control is so uphill as to be forget about it

Excellent analysis of the current state of the Internet and how it tangibly affects our behaviour as a society. I just find unnecessary the defamation of Stalin given his struggle against Capitalism and Nazism and the anti-capitalist nature of the video. Nonetheless, a very much needed video for the changes in society we must all work towards.

Every self-respecting communist should hate Stalin. If you genuinely want an economic system that improves lives, don't make totalitarian leaders your role model. The USSR exploited the premise of communism to seize power from the czar, but at no point was it ever a bastion of hope for communist ideals.

Are you taking the piss right now? Defamation of Stalin? The guy who committed one of the largest genocides in human history, second only to Mao? The literal fascist dictator? Tell me you're taking the piss and not being serious...
@fishintheocean-i4g3 ай бұрын
this guy is going on about the indie web and how it's better than the echo chamber of the well known surface web but then goes on to speak out against "shitheaded bad content" put out and only liked by "edgelords who pretend to like it, masochists who hate watch it, and supposedly well-meaning people who will tell you not to like it," without explaining why it's bad content whatsoever. Why is it bad content? What makes it bad content? Is it trashy? Is it the shock value stuff with little to no quality and imagination to back it up? Well, first of all, if someone's got a big enough imagination he/she can put in the quality and innovation of the product to back it up, no matter how untamed the content may be, and come up something that's unpredictable, subversive, etc, enough in its delivery to warrant the rest of the material...and besides...trash? That's actually already 90 to 95 percent if not all of the surface web everyone else knows about. Because trash is what most people want, most people are a bunch of grown little children who want to see taboos crossed purely for the sake of crossing taboos. Remember the Hostel and Saw movies? Family Guy? Jerry Springer? KZbin reaction videos? This is the state of the world. Garbage content sells.
