I pretend that the Disney timeline is its own thing. Kind of like the Star Trek reboot a decade ago. Same universe, different outcomes. “Legends” timeline is the true timeline. Illum is never betrayed like that in the true timeline

What a happy coincidence! I was reading about Ilum on Wookieepedia yesterday. Oooh I didn't think about Sidious ravaging Ilum being possibly revenge for what the Jedi did to Korriban, I like that theory especially when you think about how the Jedi and Republic used to thoroughly wipe out Worlds or Locations that had strong ties to the Sith. The thought of Sidious getting revenge on the Jedi by desecrating places they hold sacred for what they did in the past to the Sith sounds cool.

Absolutely loved visiting the ruins of Ilum as Cal in Fallen Order... one of the best Star Wars game, it totally revived me inner fan for Star Wars, that the trilogy just couldn't do.

The two Jedi games and the last 5 minutes of Mando Season 2 are the only things that have been done right since Disney took Star Wars. When Luke waded through those Dark Troopers and used the Force to crush the last one made me damn near lose my shit. Seeing Luke be the OP badass of the EU novels is all I have ever wanted to see on screen since the 90's. I curse Disney and spit upon their name for what they have done to one of the greatest stories ever told.

I would be interested in knowing the adventures of Jedi Master Fay but I don't think the SW franchise would be interested in covering her. She was more a councilor or ambassador to the many civilizations she visited, more focused on conflict resolution through negotiations (with words) than with a light saber. She actually didn't carry a light saber. Her connection to the Force was as strong as, if not more so, Qui-Gon Jinn (meaning she let the Force fully guide her). She helped Kenobi get an antidote to a bio weapon at the cost of her life. She was a real Jedi through and through.
