For two reasons I'm giving this an A- 1. Williams fits ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY with what we do in the line. Not a good fit, a PERFECT fit. Williams steps in and is immediately the best D Lineman on this team. 2. The message this sends to the team is, we're in it to win it, now! This is the football equivalent to poker, pushing your chips all in. I would give it an even higher grade except for the cost, which was big. I will still give it an even higher grade, when (not if but when) the Seahawks resign/extend him, and make him a center piece part of their d line for somewhere around the next four years. I absolutely believe that Pete and John were willing to part with the second round (and fifth), because they have the extra third rounder from Denver, and because they absolutely PLAN on trying to resign or extend him. I truly believe they see this as their chance to get a top ten draft pick type of defensive lineman, which they don't usually have the chance to get, because they never pick that high. Once the Seahawks extend/resign him, this will turn into a solid A to A+ trade. I LOVE IT!!!
