We don’t mind them making the creative liberties that they feel is right for the story, as long as they make that story good. Take the characters we know and love and put them in crazy situations and we’re all for it 🎉

A lot of content creators are probably using that comparison to put “Velma” in the title/thumbnail, not even necessarily for malicious reasons but merely for SEO. The game is the game 🙏

Again, we don’t feel like anything constructive can be had by comparing this to Velma for either good or bad reasons. We just need to judge it based on if it matches up to what we want as Scooby fans. If not, we have those awesome movies from the 2000s to watch instead 🙌💜

1:57, But What's New Scooby-Doo and Shaggy & Scooby-Doo: Get a Clue use to air on Kids WB and then Cartoon Network before back in the Early to Mid-2000s and everyone never complained about it. Even all the different Scooby-Doo Films use to be shown on Cartoon Network, including SCOOB! Just wanted to point that out.

We think it’s some type of joint venture like how WBTV and Netflix did season 2 onwards of “YOU” and possibly the same way that both the BBC and Bad Wolf Studio work on Doctor Who. Again we’ll need to do more research on this

I think this series will be like the first two live action films, meaning I do think Scooby will indeed talk. Netflix has a lot of money. So I do think they could make that happen. Pluse, I don't think the original cast is coming back, unless maybe it's a legacy series, and that's not the direction they're gonna go. I think they're gonna do the Scooby-Doo: Where Are You route but of course in live action. For one of the villians I'd like to see Neve Campbell cast. As for Jenna Ortaga as Velma, I don't know if that will happen. But I guess we'll see how that goes.

Since Daphne is a ginger there a good chance that a ginger actress won't be playing Daphne. There's no love for gingers they always replace them even in animation they get replaced. I can only imagine how gingers feels about getting replaced all the time. But they must feel sad and angry about it. It happens too often way too often.

We don't think it matters for Daphne personally. We think her hair should be dyed at the very least, yes but when you consider live action Daphne Blakes from Sarah Michelle Gellar to Kate Melton to Sarah Jeffery, not one of them was ever a natural ginger. Also, if casting agents were at the complete mercy of sticking to the source material then we wouldn't have great castings like Charlie Cox as Daredevil

all I want from this project is, just it has a good story, great adaptation alongside with something unique, and the important part is “Casting”, If their cast make me feel like “that’s my Mystery Inc!” same way as when we seen Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, that is all I want.

That’s a fair point. We’re not too keen on this new cast becoming out mystery inc as we already have our mystery incorporated, in the same way that we have an “our doctor” from doctor who. Doesn’t mean we can’t love other versions as well. We just hope they balance the need for star power with talent, as they rightly did with the Wednesday series you mentioned

Sadie Sink could be an interesting person to take the role of Daphne, I think that she could play the character more intellectually than previous versions. But, instead of Jenna Ortega as Velma, I've thought of another actress, McKenna Grace. She plays the intelligent character oh, so well. Look at the movies Gifted and Ghostbusters: Afterlife as fine examples.Joe Keery aka DJO (Steve Harrington from Stranger Things) could make an interesting version of Shaggy. As for Fred, I have no idea on who could play him.

Oh wow, we can't even tell you the love we have for McKenna Grace. She's already quite popular but make no mistake she is a superstar in the making and we do believe that when all is said and done she will be looked at as one of the greats. Our only issue with her as Velma (and it is an odd one) is simply the fact that she voiced the young Daphne in Scoob and Scoob Holiday Haunt. That makes us really want her to be live action Daphne more than anything but as you rightly point out, Ghostbusters proves she can do Velma. We just like her version of Daphne a lot too...maybe she could be both lol! Great picks

We want that so much too! But a part of us knows that if done right, this Netflix show is a potential franchise grower and bring in a lot more Scooby Doo fans as it’ll have such a wider audience. That’s just the optimist in us, our optimism has sometimes blinded us however 😓
