Your voice is higher pitched and more intense. One cannot not hear you. And your pace is mesmerising and draws the mind in, despite not wanting to hear those truths. One cannot stop. One feels sucked into a zone of discomfort and one is forced to take a decision: act on those truths or not. There is no middle way. Not because you say so but because logic of your argument demands. So one doesn't really have anybody to blame for that discomfort except oneself for listening. That increases the discomfort . Fight or flight kicks in for those who don't want to learn and for those who decide to fight, the only thing that can be fought is you, especially if it threatens their status and power. Since the thing started with recognising uncomfortable truth the fight only can be polarised and on the other side of the spectrum, as far away from that truth as possible. Keep polarising, it exposes the fearful and scared rulers. They stick out like beacons in environments to avoid or brace for. Thank you!!!

There were many times I argued with people who refused to accept the fact that humas are animals. To them we are "something else", something "above". What are we then? Plants? Fungi? In what way are we above? Elephants and killer whales develop complex hierarchical structures. Dolphins can literally message themselves, their "clicking" sounds are structured in a way that lets others recreate shapes and images of what's in front of the dolphin emitting the "clicks", effectively letting them talk in shapes and images over distance. People know much too little and give themselves too much credit.

I might add to your list of possibilities one of the first things that came to mind when Mr. Saad presented his question, which seems to me (an American middle class, middle age mom with some college education (without a degree), along with street sense & experience in various real world environments) that many of those who claim to be on a morally higher level than the deplorable small minded simpletons (like me & Mr. Saad, & JP, etc) that those “trolls” are less likely to attack Mr. Saad simply because he has an accent & in their minds isn’t a “White Guy”. The fear of looking like a racist to the dipshits of their leftist circles in fact causes them to actually be racists. Very often most won’t even get past the name & looks, dialect, reputation etc before deciding if either of you is acceptable to them. Because shallow people have no depth. The outside or appearance is all that matters. Those types of people have no time or desire to seek truth or live an honest life, or have any reason to believe they could change for the better…they are already perfect & right about everything. Including, whether or not a person is good or bad based on a list of victimized marginalized categories. The substance underneath matters not. Ohhhh, the ridiculousness of it all will create such a long lasting wave of ignorant generations, we are so fortunate that both of these men are living in this time & giving the public so much of their time & knowledge! Seriously, helping society to navigate in this modern world through clarity & wisdom is needed desperately. So, thank you, both, for helping so many with insightful encouragement. Why I think it annoys them, is not so much because of being responsible. These people genuinely believe the system is not only rigged against them, more importantly, they have no power to change that. So, when you say "your weight has increased, you should take some responsibility", they can only hear that the system of diets is there to make them addicts, fail and be miserable. While true, there are systems that influence you and persuade you to take certain actions, it's not like you never have the option to not play their game. It's also a dangerous mindset to have, because when they do get to change the system, they will bring everyone down to their level of misery. This is what is frustrating as well: Sometimes the system isn't corrupt, but the decision maker is. We have rich black people buying property from poor white neighbourhoods and turn them into trendy and hip, but mostly expensive, houses. We also have white people buying out property in black neighbourhoods. In the end, I think systems should be allowed to be corrupted, and people are too focussed on systems rather than their own lives. Play the game by their rules or by your own rules. That's it.

I think Petersson gets more backlash be cause he is seen as more dangerous. He rose to fame very quickly and got a very large following. He was very serious and looked angry, he drew a line in the sand, refused to be silenced and was willing to take the punishment be cause he would back down. Gad Saad is more light heated and always humorous makes him seem less dangerous. And I dont think the backlash is proportional to the size of the audience or platform but more like is this person a threat or not a threat to identity politics. Saad has never got demonized by a flood of news articles at the same scale Petersson has. I also think many people like Steven Pinker and Jonathan Haidt get less push back for having a softer tone of voice, they criticize wokeness but they wont say bloody marxists! neomarxists etc. And the other critics dont tell young men to stand up for themselves, Petesson saying dont be weak, exert yourself take your rightful place in the world, be a moster but a civilized monster, I think this scare woke people.

He’d have to abuse the hell out of me and I’d still like him! I’ve not got many nice things to say about the bible and the deeply religious, and hope that comments from the few like mine would not get to him! I’ll have an attack at faith but not at the good morals or living by the commandments! it’s the sour stuff I don’t forget! And some of the whack jobs I know of that have taken on the bible. Id like to make perfectly clear I’m no intellectual just a bogan mechanic! I’ll pass judgment and say my findings and could well be absolutely wrong! I’m happily receive any opinions from those that smart but honestly as low status as my insignificant self is! My life is fkn awesome! I’m at the extreme of freedom in the most beautiful land! I spend my time fishing or working on my cars and live by my own code! so I’m sorry but you can’t belittle me for a few reasons, the first I’m ignorant and won’t take it on, and my intuition and insight into my world is as good as it can be! and I’m exactly where I want to be! I’m voicing my opinions because I see people suffering and I’m not particularly interested in the way things are being done for it! I’d seen the collapse of hundreds of businesses and families witnessed firsthand the corruption and misuse of governments lying under the bible! Or Maybe I’m just selfish as an Aussie wanting to see great things happening again like people not forgetting what has happened in recent years! because inevitably everywhere else follows! I will say this though I’ll never pick on a Christian again just for respect of Jordan! unless it’s sickening unfounded and overbearing religious comments made by someone who has interrupted an unrelated conversation! Keep up the good work guys! don’t let anyone distract you from your cause! I’ve only just started watching your vids in the last year or so and I’ve improved a lot! For the attackers, Dr. Peterson reveals their unconscious or conscious goal of seeking an comfort and easy life instead taking due responsibilities in life, regardless of whatever veils they are under as a legitimate cause: feminism, leftism, transgender supporters… I benefit so much from Dr.Peterson’s work, for example, I was excited to discover some important reasons why women earn less than men - more men work longer hours and under more gruelling pressures in competitive fields when I read “12 rules for life” as an insight which intrigues me to contemplate solutions for women to catch up. At first, I didn’t understand why some feminists attacked Dr. Peterson for helping us understand the truth. Then it occurred to me as someone who’s been both working as an employee and self employed, the attackers are either never been to the highly competitive self-employed or commission-earning realm where are the most income differences happen or they have dabbled but failed to make it. I think it’s the responsibility of the people who have benefited from Dr. Peterson‘ work to stand together with him for the true good of our society. Thank you! Dr. Peterson, I’m standing with you!

She worked a 40-hour-a-week office job she refused to take overtime from, whereas I was in the oilfields doing 14-hour days 15 days at a time with the huge monetary incentives behind all that. You'd need to... **gestures with hands** think, at least, that the other side of the road is more desirable than the one you currently are on and that's, like, bloody complicated, man. It's like who gets to decide which side of the road is the better one? Does it vary from person to person? Does the weather influence the various substructures of the architectural basis from which a person forms out an opinion? And even if we were to assume that this was all true, in a boolean context, would a chicken share the views of a human? Well, we have no evidence for that whatsoever. All very reasonable until the last part which threw a blanket over everyone who might find the overly Americanised narrative of personal wealth accumulation, coupled with inflated ego and persona, as being the ultimate goal for all men, everywhere, as increasingly nauseating, being some kind of deviant. The drive of men to achieve is critical to society’s proper function and growth and ability of men to cultivate something meaningful about themselves and their existence doesn’t have to result in being an online millionaire. And yet that’s what they consistently get shoved down their throat. Because it’s what’s most easily transmissible on the overly simplified digital forms of communication we currently rely on. Reality exists at the messy intersection between opposing forces, on the ground. Not at the extremes and especially not in the digital world. It’s time that ambitious young men grappled with how to once again find and hold that ground. And make it a meaningful place to exist. There’s also a danger in overly refining a combative stance and/or subsequent points in order to target a particular group or narrative. Like looking down a scope, fixating on the target too precisely ends up making the wider context invisible.

@@elloohno1349 exactly! I feel the same - love Jordan but I really wanted to hear what the guest had to say.

Let's get one things straight. Stupid animals have hierarchies. Intelligent humans have networks. So much of our behavior is driven by cultural evolution, even to the extent that biological evolution is allowed to drift. People make analogies because they can't articulate details. We are not like lobsters.

If Jordan Peterson was one of my professors I would've finished my Psychology degree. It's sad that his voice is such a minority in academia.

It could be because Jordan comes across as less willing to tolerate fools. Kind but not nice.

I realize it was the other guy's term, but I don't enjoy the brilliant mind of Dr. Peterson using the f-word.

Jordan has a higher pitched voice, is insistent and also is quite labile at times. He is not a comfortable person to watch. Even so he is very good value

He dares to be disagreeable.

The more you compare humans to animals the further you miss the mark. How bout we all do what koalas do? Look into that and then see how far you want to continue to compare us to those that which God has set us above because he blessed us with a brain unless you dont feel like using it.
