Players do have some empowerment in the NBA. When players want to leave a team, they get traded to the team they want or don't but in the end players do have the power. You seen it with Kevin Durant , James harden , dame, Anthony Davis ,etc .. if Anthony Edwards really want to leave Minnesota pretty sure he can, it's falls on Edwards and Minnesota

THere is ZERO leverage from Ants side, no contract length or amount of money that gives them a single thing. Even Ant cant make as much money now on his NEXT (3rd) contract by leaving Mnnesota so the leverage is just exponentially outweighed on the WOlves side. Not to mention ant i not curry KD lebron, hes done nothing so far. He has zero power off the court and in the nba hierarchy as well
