The real ones always knew. Can’t wait for the dummies to get what they’ve been asking for. Better hope they figure it out quickly!

Agree. I'd be cool with Penix at 11 and the best player at 23.

Cousins got dogged for years as a stat stuffer that couldn't win big games BUT NOW he's a great QB? Make that make sense. The Jets and Panthers were ( still are ) both shitshows when S.D. was there. As a starter Darnold has never had weapons like this, he's never had a HC like this, and he doesn't have to be "THE GUY". I'm anxious to see him this year.

The Vikings aren't known to tank for a high draft pick, so it's on Darnold to prove he doesn't suck. If not, there's always...Nick Mullens?! Jaren Hall?!!

Michael, my brother! The snake bitten Sam Darnold is a great kid and a very talented football player. As a Commanders fan, and a huge Kirk Cousins fan, I will continue to follow the Vikings. Don't draft a QB - draft studs at #11 and #23, and roll with Sam. Then, fingers crossed, he can stay healthy and show what he can do with some serious talent around him. Note: Rightfully, Brock Purdy was named QB1 before the 49ers signed Darnold, so he never had a shot at playing with their five All Pros on offense.

I’d give Darnold a chance. He was given the helm of a horrible Jets and Panther’s teams. Now with a good coach and skills position players he MAY be able to ball out a little. Going with the 4th, 5th best QB prospect is not the recipe for success. Plus, if you stick with Darnold you can use your two 1st RD draft picks to hopefully land two more quality players.

I'm not sold on McCarthy. I'd rather see the Vikings draft Penix.

The Jets were not a place for a young qb to thrive at that time.

I don’t know when he proved hisself to be less than when he had two teams with absolutely no weapons and he sat behind purdy. If that’s proof I would feel sorry for you judging a tricyclic race at a minors b-day party. Besides Dj Moore does anyone remember anybody Sam darnald had the luxury of throwing to? Also wasn’t everybody including this guy saying Kirk was trash. Why would we trust his word. We just seen him flip flop on Kirk. With the weapons darnald has right now and the play calling of O’Connell Sam will be fine. Look at Geno Smith. They wrote him off as a starter. he’s been starting for 2 years and doesn’t look half bad. Let the football minds do what they do we don’t want to hear you flip flop again.

Does the guy on the left not realize that JJ was averaging the most yard per game when Mullens was QB.. everyone always shitted on Kirk for not being able to win anything.. now that he leaves Vikings are doomed and can’t win now?

KC is only a stat builder, he doesn’t care if he wins the Super Bowl. He just puts all that money in the bank. And I can’t blame him. There’s no way he’s ever gonna win a Super Bowl because he doesn’t care that much. I agree. Give SD a shot. I’ve been a fan since 1961, my faith is all dried up for this team. 60 plus years of mediocre football.

I'm not betting on him being good, but it wouldn't shock me either. The whole "seeing ghosts" thing is really overplayed. He was a young QB on a bad team getting rattled. He was sacked nine times that game. All he did was correctly point out what everyone could see anyhow.

Darnold might be OK, but he's not going to be great. We can get a potentially great QB at pick 11 with no need to trade up.

Trade Justin Jefferson ASAP and draft Odunze or Thomas. Let someone else pay him $35 million/year and watch him get injured again.

bald dude doesnt seem to know what hes saying... JJ will get paid going into the season not after a year with Darnold. Darnold better than Dobbs and Jaren too. Regardless if they draft a guy Darnold will be the guy in 2024
