A detail they forgot to mention was that the dust in the footage reacts how dust in a vacuum would. It's flat with no poofing. In fact, the only way to have dust react flat like it did, is to have the entire set in a vacuum. A vacuum so large, that it would still be the largest vacuum ever made by a long shot.
@TheWokeFlatEarthTruth
@TheWokeFlatEarthTruth Жыл бұрын
Hi Omil, you mentioned that dust kicked up on the lunar surface will behave differently compared to an equilivent situation on Earth. A perfect example of this is the "Rooster Tail" dust trails kicked up by Apollo 16's John Young during his "Grand Prix" in April 1972. This very situation has been analysed, studied and the published results are easily obtained online. "Ballistic motion of dust in the Lunar Roving Vehicle dust trails", Hsu, Hsiang-Wen, Horányi, Mihály, (University of Colorado), American Journal of Physics, Volume 80, Issue 5, pp. 452-456 (2012). They conclude that the lack of particles’ deceleration along the x-axis of their coordinate system, could only be the case if Apollo 16’s rover footage was filmed in a vacuum and in an environment where the acceleration due to gravity = 1.6 m/s2. . Enjoy reading, take care.

fruitea m The Russians picked up the radio signals FROM THE SKY so they know it was real. And no, we didn’t have the technology then to make reliable robots that could carry recordings of the fake video and execute all the maneuvers to be in the same place as the fake astronauts would be (two critical rocket burns, to park in lunar orbit and to come home, HAD to be done on the far side of the Moon out of contact with Earth), much less detect when something went wrong and INSTANTLY switch to a different video (and audio) recording of the SPECIFIC type of fake disaster as appropriate. And if there had been ONE mistake detected by the Russians or anyone else (like the Australian team who had to step in for the tracking station that was supposed to pick up the landing and first steps at the last minute; find the movie “The Dish”), the reputation of the US in the world would have been worse than it will be by 2020 with Trump. TRYING AND FAILING would be less damaging than being caught FAKING. And EVEN IF the technology to fake it reliably enough not to get caught HAD been available at ANY price in 1969 (which it wasn’t), it would have cost MORE than the actual Apollo project did.

Joe Swanson Just saying there was no PRACTICAL way to fool anyone with the ability to compare the live TV feed with radio signals containing the same information with what they picked up by pointing an ANTENNA AT THE MOON. I went into some detail about the reasons for this, but if all you know about the Apollo project (and the Mercury and Gemini projects which preceded it) is that “NASA fed the world some TV broadcasts claiming we went to the Moon,” and if you don’t know anything about antennas and receivers, especially the Doppler effect, you may need to read up a bit on physics. So what part do you consider to be “nonsense?” Details, please.
@allanrichardson1468

Reiian Plaier I mean that putting a fake space mission on the air from transmitters ACTUALLY mounted on SPACECRAFT, following the SAME paths through space as the faked astronauts would be following, would be the only way to convince observers capable of actually POINTING ANTENNAS at the sky, and it would be, EVEN TODAY, more expensive and more likely to be caught faking than actually sending astronauts up in spacecraft.

How is it lazy and unintelligent? Especially when you are admitting you blindly follow authority. Critical thinking is good when it’s about stuff I don’t like, but when it’s about stuff I like it’s lazy and stupid right? Funny in your arrogance and condescension you expose yourself as a midwit that will just blindly believe whatever someone in a labcoat tells you
@DonnieDGaming
@DonnieDGaming 2 жыл бұрын
@@JA-jx1hk The point I made was that conspiracy theorists, even in the face of evidence will still just claim conspiracy and ignore the evidence. Thats what makes it lazy and most suited for the unintelligent because it requires little to no critical thinking. Yes we all have to blindly follow authorities all the time. If someone doesnt know how to fix their car they have to trust a mechanic, if people are sick they go to a doctor. They didnt watch the doctor graduate or monitor their entire educational pathway but they dont really have much choice. Now tell me more about how im a midwit.
@JA-jx1hk
@JA-jx1hk 2 жыл бұрын
@@DonnieDGaming by saying when “confronted with evidence” you further expose yourself as a midwit. What is evidence? Who affirms this evidence? Is a massive international institution signing off on a study as peer reviewed the only form of evidence? There was zero evidence presented in this video to debunk it and yet you still made your wild blanket statement that conspiracy theorists are lazy when in fact often times they research this stuff much more than the average KZbin midwit making fun of them, they are literally obsessed with this stuff to a fault but you want to call them lazy and unintelligent simply because they aren’t satisfied with an authority figures answer. Also, you can learn to fix your own car, you can have someone teach you, you can do research on how a car works to where you have a better understanding of it in order to avoid being conned by a dishonest mechanic… Just by using that as an example you show how much of a midwit you are and ironically how intellectually lazy you yourself are. Just admit that “evidence” to you is merely a high production infantilized KZbin video with some man child narrating it and a stamp from an organization you recognize and you’ll gladly just blindly accept it and call it a day lmao

Computer graphics would have also required that computers be powerful enough to do realistic enough computer graphics. One of the most powerful supercomputers at the time, the CDC 7600, could do about the sort of performance as a CPU from the late 1980's, before computer graphics techniques like digital compositing video became used. Lets say you could do something like this on the Cray-2, a very powerful supercomputer from 1985 which might not actually be possible given the details you need to integrate into the computer graphics, but lets assume I am being overly cautious. The Cray 2 is hundreds of times more powerful that the CDC 7600. So we need either tons of those (which themselves were likely too powerful at the time to be reliable, often breaking once a day) which is very, very expensive (5 million each) and the amount of people and development required to do computer graphics on the code side, or a hypothetical computer technology that was 15-20 years ahead of it's time, at which point that breaks a lot of history because it would be odd to make computers that powerful and then just abandon them. You would see some effects from it which we don't. Also the fact with rocketry is it was pretty well known the technology of the time (except the Russians were doing it better). People had been working on liquid rockets since the 30's at least. And most of the technologies needed or that would be useful for getting to the moon are all out there. They didn't just disappear. Stuff like the food testing equipment (since you don't want people getting sick in space), various fireproof fabrics, emergency blankets. Stuff like Cordless tools needed to be developed, and from some of these technologies would also directly come the modern style of fire rescue breathing aparatus.

You'd need a bunch of CDC 6600s to do that rendering, even discounting the fact that you'd need to start writing the software -- first of its kind -- some years before rendering started. Even starting in 1965 and buying up every CDC 6600 made -- somewhere around 100 -- they'd be lucky to get 10-30 minutes of video rendered at lower resolutions, but "Last Starfighter" complexity or much lower. Not remotely convincing.

There is no reason for the USA to fake the moon landings instead of trying to actually get to the moon. The earliest forms of guided missiles and munitions were already made by Nazi Germany (V1 and V2 rockets, Fritz X guided bombs), and computers were already in use during WW2 on US battleships and Bletchley Park in the UK. The scientists who worked on the guided missiles were also the same scientists who were hired by the USA to join NASA. So the USA already had the technologies and Human Resources to work on getting to the moon especially after 20 years of tech advancements.

Mythbusters actually disproved several other bits of "evidence" that the moon landing was fake... -The flag moving in the "wind" that shouldn't be there? It was simply them moving the pole to sink it into the surface and the lack of air resistance made the flag move -The footprints on dry moon soil? Lunar soil is made of very sharp particles and thus don't need water to form a clear footprint -The weird shadows on some of the photos? The lunar soil is very reflective

They should make one on the existence of god to those who thinks wrongly like that girl maybe To athiests: i want you to take 4 minutes from your time and read this if you're a fair and a just person looking for truth as you claim. 1) i wanna tell you just one small little 2 comparative examples (ps: The few humble examples that I will mention do not mean that they are most of them. Indeed, examples are literally unfinished, but as I said, it is only the way your mind thinks) to show you that it's not a matter of knowledge and IQ to know there is a god. It does need a proper mind in the first place so you can use this knowledge to know that . i want you to tell me the percentage of coincidence that your messages you sent to me were formed in which you used 26 letters to form them by randomly clicking while you closing your eyes . ? I want you to tell me the chances of that phone you hold now to be made if i just throw a bomb in the air at some materials? And then gather all of your informations about biology for exemple and tell me the chances of DNA who formed from nitrogenous bases, phosphoric acid, and others. Being created . And the chances of how this DNA tape that consist from 4 letters (A.T.C.G) can make several kinds of billions of proteins that each one of them have a specific job like (Hormonal proteins Enzymatic proteins. Structural proteins .Defensive proteins .Storage proteins. Carrier proteins. Receptor proteins. Systolic proteins) And tell me the chances of making constitute effective organs, each one has an important role in human life in order to exercise its anomalies (The lymphatic system . The digestive system The respiratory system . The nervous system . The circulatory system . Endocrine system . The immune system . The lymphatic system . The muscular system . The urinary system . Skeletal system . The reproductive system ) And give me the percentage that multiple departments would be formed that would effectively perform their role for each of these devices . And then the same way tell the percentage of this world with it's functions starting from the atoms. To the lands . Mountains. Load currents. And the creation of new lands and others disappear. and layers of the earth and layers of the sky preserving it. And a coincidence that forms water molecules. Then these are like the fuel that spreads life on the earth. Then think about what you know about the universe . Like think of yourself opening your pc which is made with a very intelligence way ( the hardware and software) then you open an AR game for exemple and start creating your avatar. ( doing the hair and the size of eye and ... ) you can't say that this pc or this avatar you made came by chance. Like some bomb exploded and did all of that. You believe that those stuff have a creator. So why you don't believe that the (Mosquito) for exemple have a creator . Infact if those avatars you created had some algorithm like humans minds . Most of them would believe that there is bomb made them and their world not a ( creator) Look at these pictures in you head (imagine) and give me the percentage of making one by coincidence let's say after millions of years : a beginner paint of a cat with pen . Then imagine a professional paint of a cat that looks real. Then i want you to imagine a model of a cat. If you say the chance of making this by coincidence is 0 so how could this cat in real life be made by a coincidence. by an explosion after millions of years. I never heard about creating a meaningful paragraph by clicking randomly on the keyboard. Or create a library by throwing a bomb in a forest. If i told you that this could happened you wouldn't believe . You keep talking about how the humanbody can't be made by god because of some claims that science already have answered on years ago like blind spot in the eyes (which is something important to the human eye) and the tail in some baby boomers (which is nothing but appendages that appear anywhere in a person and do not carry any vertebrae, bones, or spinal cord. Only appendages) and the rest of the spread of this false and naive assumption by Darwin and those who imitated him in his idea of (archaeological or atrophic remnants) of the development in the human body such as the appendix, the ear protuberance and the endocrine glands !! (The errors of which modern science has revealed are all wrong,) but you never believe that a car or any invention made by coincidence because it has some Design errors for example. Not to mention that humans never invented something more advanced, sophisticated and audited than humans themselves. actually there is no invention more superior than a fly. They are still trying to simulate the brain of a pigeon in the manufacture of aircraft, and they could not . And yet you believe those inventions have a creator. But the creation of god is just a coincidence I want you to think the models that you have had taught on it. How do you believe that a person made a model of a human brain and do not believe that a creator actually made that brain that is made of billions of neurons and a device more complex than any device that any human made? Just How could all this happen in an explosion in the universe. (Ps: even if you don't believe in the quran with no knowledge about it. i still want you ti read the words i'm gonna write ) God says in his holy book : "Indeed, We created humans in the best form."(95/4) "Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures."(17/70) "Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? ---And We created from water every living thing--. Will they not then believe?"(21/30) " Now you see the mountains, thinking they are firmly fixed, but they are moving the direction of clouds. the design of Allah, Who has mastered everything. Surely He is All-Aware of what you do."(27/88) "Have they not seen how Allah originates the creation then resurrects it? That is certainly easy for Allah." "Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe." If you believe that there is a slightest chance of all of this creation to happened by coincidence let's say 10-²⁴⁴⁴⁴ chance . then the fact that my phone that i hold for exemple (or any other invention ) and the message i wrote with the humble english words i know is certainly a coincidence too. And you can't believe just one of them or you would have no logic . You only originally follow the unjustified suspicions in the first place . As god says: " although they have no knowledge of this. They follow nothing but assumptions. And surely assumptions can in no way replace the truth." " ...How can they then believe in falsehood2 and deny Allah’s favours?" 2) And this life is endless and short and we have a reason for making you guys repent and believe. that we seek for god reward and trying to fight the corruption you making so : "O my people! How is it that I invite you to salvation, while you invite me to the Fire! You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him what I have no knowledge of, while I invite you to the Almighty, Most Forgiving. There is no doubt that whatever you invite me to . are not worthy to be invoked either in this world or the Hereafter.1 and indeed our return is to Allah, and the transgressors will be the inmates of the Fire. I you. it's not a matter of how much knowledge you have in the first place. It's a matter of how you think. How your mind work. Is it well or corrupted. You will remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affairs to Allah. Surely Allah is All-Seeing of all servants.” Tell me why you people seek and struggle to make us disbelief? Is it important to you that we disbelief . What you gonna benefit from this or benefit the humanity if we already gonna die. Surly you just fighting your nature and fighting yourselves to disbelief. 3) and i just wanna say something you atheists found it hard to understand.. I didn't say god made us perfect and no believer do and god haven't said we are perfect . We are not perfect and the proof of that that we need food. Drink and medicine and move . We're not motals and we need to work to get rewarded or get punished ...etc And god says: "We never require of any soul more than what it can afford. And with Us is a record which speaks the truth. None will be wronged." "...Are you rewarded except for what you used to do" "and that each person will only have what they endeavoured towards, and that ˹the outcome of˺ their endeavours will be seen " but i was talking about how much great inventions we are ..only god is perfect. 5) And god made an exemple of how believers think and how disbelievers think in this verse : "Surely Allah does not shy away from using the parable of a mosquito or what is upon it . As for the believers, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. And as for the disbelievers, they argue, “What does Allah mean by such a parable?” Through this , He leaves many to stray, and guides many. And He leaves none to stray except the rebellious-" Look at the question of the disbelievers in this verse and how the believers mind thought . And that's how exactly you think 6) God the creator is something unquestionable. if you're still have some light in your hearts . In the end i just wanna tell you believe in god the most merciful . The most knowledgable . Guid you to a straighter path in your life better than any other path you gonna take and more beneficial And think about your last so that god will reward you with a better than what he gave you in the first . "O my people! Worship Allah-you have no other god except Him. I truly fear for you the torment of a tremendous Day.” (Quran.com)

@@aimenedjebaili7459 well, yes, these chances are extremely low, however on a large enough timeline the chances of them happening actually greatly increase, and if the timeline is infinite, there is zero chances of these things not happening at one point or another. If you take a giant gumball machine and fill it with 10000 gumball, all blue but a single red one, the chances of getting the red one first try is 1/9999, but if you have infinite time and quarters, there is a 100%chance that you will get that red gumball. And saying "there is no proof against god" does not mean, by any chance, that God does exist, just like a lack of proof that I am not an alien does not prove I am an alien. There is no substantial proof for or against God, the general atheist population does not argue a God is impossible, they argue that there is not enough proof for it to be considered fact. Also, a God does not solve all of these problems, for example, how did he come into existence? How does he force everything to happen? And so on. Also, quoting a potentially man written piece of text is not proof God exists. There are texts that the Greeks claimed came from their gods, and yet does that mean the texts were true and their gods as such also? And as to you asking why atheists challenge your beliefs, few ever do just challenge your beliefs to "convert" you, a majority of the time it is done protecting their own beliefs and explaining why that is their belief, no different from you coming on here and saying why you believe God does exist.

@@braedengraham6239 Thank for the polite reply i hope you read every word i have wrote and understand them I hope. cause i think you have a different mind from other athiests. If you are. 1-first i'm not depending :on any assumptions . And that's the fault of most of man kind especially atheists who say that they follow only science and evidences. They are just closing their sights on litterally unfinished evidences and following assumptions and unjustified claims *in denying the fact that there is one god* . Such as the infinity assumption you brought up. Which is without the slightest doubt mere hiccups and another theory based only on a group of accumulated suspicions far removed from evidence and facts like the paradox theory or any other one. 2- comparing THE UNIVERSE with a gumball machine is absolutely absurd. More over i wanna ask you who did brought up this gumbell machine anyway . From where the gumball machine did come from to be see the results . 3- THE UNIVERSE was made from an explosing . I want you to tell me the possibility of making something have any meaning or sense or purpose or a job if you keep throwing *infinity* bombs at any materials for *infinity timeline* . Like the model of the cat example i mentioned earlier or anything else. If the possibility is 0 (not extremely low but 0) then how the chance of making a creature like the cat itself can be higher than 0 ? 4- i said in the beginning that examples that prove the fact that god exist are literally unfinished. And i mean it. The evidences that shows god exist aren't stopping (That doesn't mean i'm limitless in my mind but i mean that the more you think of the evidences the more they got bigger) and i made a little few examples of what i said. And there is no evidence denying the existance of GOD . I said facts and you said assumptions like infinity big bangs could make infinity universes . Alot of them or actually endless of them are 100% could be perfect . and i'm not kidding when i say perfect because of what studies show's (A small imbalance of rules leads to a total breakdown) *although they have no knowledge of this. They follow nothing but assumptions. And surely assumptions can in no way replace the truth* *Indeed, God keeps the heavens and the earth from falling apart. If they were to fall apart, none but Him could hold them up. He is truly Most Forbearing, All-Forgiving* Heavens = universe = سماوات 5- *god does not solve all the problems* . That's a wrong sentence. And you're not required to know these things like god existence or can god create a rock that even he can't hold .etc and again those are not proofs at all. God gave just few knowledge to humanbeings and what they can handle. You don't need to know these stuff . You don't need to know it. You're only required and responsible on your mind to look at the evidences of god and believe in it. If you objected it know that you're wronging yourself and unjust. God said: *They ask you about the spirit. Say, “Its nature is known only to my Lord, and you ˹O humanity˺ have been given but little knowledge* *and you have been given but little knowledge* And again those claims doesn't deny the existince of god. And god made an example how believers think and how disbelievers think in this verse : (Surely GOD does not shy away from using the parable of a mosquito or what is above it . *As for the believers, they know that it is the truth from their Lord* . And as for the disbelievers, *they argue, “What does Allah mean by such a parable?”* Through this , He leaves many to stray, and guides many. And He leaves none to stray except the rebellious-) 6-You see what i'm talking about ? (The fault of mankind) *assumptions* You judge that this book is from a man while you don't even know what's in it (or basically the main stream) . You assumed this And you haven't think (let's see maybe it's really from god) Actually there is tons of evidences deny the fact that this book can be make by a humanbeing and make sure that this is from a god . But as i said it's the matter of how much good your mind is to see it in the first place not how much informations you have. Without a proper mind the informations and knowledge are useless to see . Blinds . And god said (Through this , He leaves many to stray, and guides many. And He leaves none to stray except the rebellious) 7- *THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT POINT* That there is something athiests or the rest of disbelievers don't understand. They asking for proofs . God won't make a proof make both of falsehood people with bad minds and good mind people so that alk can believe and everyone succeed . There won't be any point from this anyway. We won't have a minute on earth like that . *Like imagine giving a test to students with answers with it there won't be any point of the test and that won't be fair to students* So you might wanna ask yourself (maybe i'm gonna really fail and get punished if i keep up with this ideology (mind)) God says: They say, “Why has no angel come with him?” and if we had sent down an angel, (the matter would have certainly been settled ˹at once˺,1 and they would have never been given more time ˹to repent˺.!) *the matter would have certainly been settled and they would have never been given more time* And he said : Allah said, “Descend, both of you, from here together ˹with Satan˺ as enemies to each other. Then when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer. But whoever turns away from My Reminder will certainly have a miserable life,1 then We will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment.” I want you to focus on *But whoever turns away from My Reminder* 8- and yes there is different. The reason why i asked that is because i wanna make those disbelievers see that they just fighting the beliveing in god inside them without evidences . Just assumptions. through the contradictions in themselves . I have a reason to make them believe. Is first, that i'm gonna get reward crom god with that Second, i wanna be a reformer and that's another job i need to do in my life unless god punish me. With stopping those evil thoughts of disbelievers because they don't worth be successor to the earth. Because They will spoil it for sure because of less knowledge about what is right and what is wrong and because *they have no reason to reform and work in a good way* in the first place. They fighting that nature of working good. Third. I do it to make my believe get stronger and i think maybe this is a common point between me and disbelievers. (They wanna do this to make their assumptions about themselves being smarter comes true. And i do it to support the fact that god does exist) . So i have more reasons than athiests. Athiests supposed to have no reason to work good or to make me follow them . So why they are struggling ? that doesn't make sense ? They just fighting their nature. *Surely those who dispute Allah’s signs-with no proof given to them-have nothing in their hearts but greed for dominance, which they will never attain. So seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.* Ps: i'm not a scholar in islam or know everything about kuran just a student in university. I know only little things and yet those things are enough to me to make me see the truth clearly. And i really hope that you read the last verse from quran that i have sent. more than 3 times and think about it . And if you have any questions to ask about something with the intentions of learning about it and get some informations and not with the intention to proof that i'm wrong i would love to try to answer .

well due to the thermal dynamics inside a vacuum it actually wouldn't melt the moon because there is no medium to transfer the heat from the rocket to the moon, with the exception of the point of contact between the booster and the cheese. but because the rocket is supported by the lander legs that isn't a problem. Another funny thing: the moon landing video couldn’t be faked either. The frame rate would be a dead give away that it was filmed on film and not captured on video, the editing would have had to be inhumanly perfect for the film to work just to undo the previous problem, it would have taken 6 canisters of film to get it all (all of which would have to have been edited by hand leading to the previous problem being astronomically low) and stanly Kubrick was such a perfectionist he would have demanded they shoot on location anyways.

Forgot to mention perhaps one of the best arguments against faking it. They would still have to launch all the giant rockets that millions of civilians witnessed and countries tracked over the sky. Just building and launching those rockets are perhaps the most expensive part of the project, may as well just use them to go there.

Will Jacobs there's no economic benefit to going to the moon, that's why other countries haven't tried. The only reason the space race happened is because it was a dick measuring contest, not because there's gold to mine in the moon.
@musicalpop-tart4869
@musicalpop-tart4869 6 жыл бұрын
The benefit to going to the moon was to collect data and scientific research that you really can't can't get from looking at a telescope. And honestly, how is this not an economic benefit? If you have scientific information, you have the whole scientific community flocking to you for that same information. Therefore we have created an industry of science, technology, engineering, and math. Going to the moon wasn't just about the SPACE race, but it was also about the HUMAN race. It was about seeing our limitations. And also we don't only send people out to orbit, we also send space craft out further beyond the moon to take images and make scientific discoveries. Today, the Voyager 1 is the furthest traveling man made object, going beyond the solar system and it still sends scientific data to us each day. Sure there's no man on the craft, but to put a man on a space craft for 40 years and send him beyond the solar system to this day is still impossible. And sending people to the international space station also returns to us a lot of scientific research. It's a lab in space where we do things that we can't do on Earth. Nothing like this would even be possible without having started with at least the moon. Today going to the moon is impractical because we've already seen it all. There's no point anymore, we made it there and now we can focus on other things, like new planets across the universe in a different galaxy.

Musical Pop-tart by economic benefit, I'm mostly talking about quick money. Corporations and governments getting quick money. I don't think you can get that from the moon without sinking tons of dollars. I'm kind of pessimistic. While I do believe we would've gotten to the moon at some point, I believe that the cold war's rivalry was the main drive, despite what jfk or the US government say about it being human discovery as the main drive. I mean, all I have to do is look at the difference between NASA's budget back then and now. The difference is big, safe to say, without a rivalry. And that's why I think most countries haven't put in a real effort to go to mars or other planets. And honestly, I'm not complaining. Sinking lots of gov't money right now on space won't really go over well with the population of any country. Space is cool, and you can't really argue against the virtue of science, but you and I both know the majority have more concerns. Whereas in the cold war, the main concern was Russia and that's why sinking lots of money in it was acceptable.

Lepong20 Keep believing in the fairy tale that space has become. No observable curvature from a plane, or anywhere for that matter. Look at the horizon next time your in one, you might learn something. Research flat earth.

There's no point arguing with these people there's still a part of the lunar lander on the moon the we could see with telescopes. Which they would respond that NASA can't be trusted and the pictures are fakes

Surprised the amount of tv footage wasn't mentioned. 3 hours of footage just for Apollo 11's moonwalk broadcast (not including the footage from the capsules en route to the moon and the utter shitload of footage from other landings), which would have to be overcranked to get even close to the right movement, meaning miles of film just for the moonwalk on apollo 11 that would have to be reformatted for tv broadcast.
@brandonlink6568
@brandonlink6568 2 жыл бұрын
Also worth noting that they show Kubrick's film crew shooting on film, but since Apollo used TV cameras and things like film grain and gate weave would easily give the game away they would have had to film using color TV cameras and record it on to magnetic tape. The problem with doing that is when you go to slow the footage down to make the actors appear weightless you run in to the problem that the best technology of the late 60s could only produce about 30 seconds of slow motion footage from magnetic tape because of the limits of hard drive technology of the day.
@DaveHaynie
@DaveHaynie Ай бұрын
Hard drives could manage about 90 seconds of slow motion at professional sports level budgets. Video tape did exist, but stand machines couldn't have operated with the 10fps low resolution camera used on Apollo 11 (and as a backup on subsequent missions that has switched to color and regular NTSC).
