Also, the majority of Palestinians entered the territory after 1860 - only after a strong Jewish presence was already re-established. Wow! Your ability to misrepresent and not include vital information is truly impressive. The 1947 UN partition plan would’ve given the Palestinians the majority of the land as well as the majority of the important territories while Israel would’ve received mostly the desert in the south. You forgot to include the fact that Israel accepted this plan even though thousands of Jews who were living in what would become Palestinian land would’ve been forced out. The Palestinians rejected this plan, as well as every other peace deal Israel and international powers have offered. Why? Because the main priority of the Palestinian leadership and people has always been the destruction of Israel and the total replacement of it with a Palestinian state over a 2-state solution. This channel is a disgrace to historiography and journalism.

First, all civilians are innocent and have nothing to do with the war and don't deserve this treatment. You decided not to tell the part where Arabs raided and massacred the Jews. Also, Palestinians may have been living in that land whereas the land is historically Jewish, before the Romans expelled the Jews from their land. Arabs weren't forced to leave, they decided to leave themselves. You talk about Jews doing ethnic cleansing, when Palestinians make 20% of Jewish population, and enjoy the most rights in the whole area, and there are 0 Jews living in Gaza. Palestine was proposed a two-state solution countless times, but kept on rejecting it. I don't blame he Jews for trying to defend themselves, as if they stop, Hamas will wipe them out. They are not trying to bomb civilians but are trying to end Hamas who is hiding in the civilian area and launching attacks on Israel. Civilians dying is the sad reality of war. But you can't say Hamas is innocent for intentionally going into Israel territory and slaughtering every living thing in sight.

Both Jews and Arabs were migrating to what is now Israel in the early 1900's. Palestine was not a country. It was just a name for the overall region. Just like the Sinai in Egypt is not a country but just a region. Palestinian was not a nationality, identity or ethnicity. They were simply Arabs that happened to live in the region called Palestine. Jews bought all the land they got. They didn't steal land from Arabs. There wasn't anyone to really steal the land from cause the total population of that area + Jordan was less than 1 million. Tensions were brewing between Jews and Arabs cause the Arabs didn't like so many Jews coming to buy land and build a home. The British asked the UN to resolve the tensions, the UN decided the land, that was owned by the British, should be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish state. The Jews liked this decision. The Arabs rejected the idea. Israel declares itself an independent country. The next day the Arab league attacks it. Israel wins the war. As compensation, Egypt gives them Gaza(and Sinai but that is given back) and Jordan gives them West Bank. That means Gaza and West Bank are Israeli territory. Not some non-existing Palestine country whose land they stole. It was given to them by Egypt and Jordan. This means the people in Gaza and West Bank are not "Palestinians" but Egyptian Arabs and Jordanian Arabs that now have become Israeli citizens and thus Israeli Arabs. Israel makes it very clear that every time the Arab league attacks them, they will lose more land. Arab league keeps attacking. Israel gains more land Since the Arabs never accepted the borders drawn by the UN resolution, Israel decides it is also not beholden by a deal that the other party doesn't even accept. So we can concluide: It's not their ancestral home It's not their heritage Palestinian is not an identity They are not refugees X Even more condensed cause I doubt the length of your attention span. UN: "Hey, this land that belongs to Britain, we split it about 50/50. Arabs take half, Jews take half" Jews: "That sounds reasonable, let's do it" Arabs: "No, we want all the land and we want all the Jews gone!" Jews decades later: "You know what? Why should we remain on our half of land from a deal that the Arabs don't even accept?"

HOLY SH!T I've never in my life heard such a botched version of history told as if this is how things have happened. I REALLY hope people don't believe you, even though the video sounds and looks really official. I'll add the things you missed real quick (even though you should read the history for yourself because I also have holes in my knowledge). So first of all most of the Arabs that lived during the end of WW2 were immigrants from nearby Arab nations, they came there to work for the British who owned the land, that didn't have an official title, nor was it recognised as a country. Second of all, Jews have been living in Israel for years and years before the second or first WWs. Third, Israel accepted those borders suggested by the UN, while the Arabs decided to ethnically cleanse all of the Jews, but failed luckily and Israel was made, though it was much bigger than we know it today. They gave a lot of that land back to Egypt and maybe Jordan for a peace agreement. It is true that there were horrible things done in that war, but then again, it was a war... And I do not appreciate the fact that Israel destroyed these Arabs' houses after they left/were killed, but it happened. Please, if any of my facts are wrong, feel free to cite me an article that says otherwise, but until that happens, I would massively appreciate it if you'll report this video for misinformation. It twists history in a way it shouldn't be twist, especially not now.

Wikipedia says that in 1922 there were 589,177 Muslims; 73,024 Christians and 83,790 Jews. The brits did that Census according to Wikipedia, so according to that jews were a little over 10% of the population in Palestine and the vast majority were Muslims. You left out a couple of seriously important details. The UN proposed to create two states in the former British Palestine Mandate. Jewish leadership accepted. Arab leadership rejected the deal specifically because they were against any plan that would result in a nation for the Jews in that region of the world. They wanted the entirety, including Jerusalem, to be an Arab Muslim state. And they weren’t satisfied simply with protesting the plan. Instead, they kicked it up a thousand notches by declaring war on the new Jewish state, attacking with the intent to eliminate the new nation, and encouraging the local Arabs to leave their homes and villages while the invasion was being carried out. The Arab armies were driven back and ended up losing the war they started. When you start a war, as the surrounding Arab nations did, or ally yourself with the side who started the shooting, as the local Arab (later called Palestinian) population did, and then lose the war you started, you shouldn’t be surprised at the resulting negative consequences.
