Why The New Super Mario Bros Franchise Ended With Super Mario Bros Wonder

Hopefully one or more of the other New Super Mario games will be released on the Switch 2. We only have WiI and Wonder from the 2D games. At some point I wouldn't mind another Wonder game, maybe even a 3D one. Imagine a wonder effect in 3D.
