Why Is Super Smash Bros Missing From Nintendo Switch Online

Ultimate is the reason. Personally I think Ultimate is way more enjoyable and deep but 64 is a lot of fun and nostalgia, I don't think they would lose sales from having the game there. If anything, people that play Smash 64 could crave for more and finally buy Ultimate, but Nintendo always is a bit of dick when it comes to these things, so that is the only reason I can think of, that they think they would lose sales having it there (wouldn't even be surprised if they removed the 64 Zeldas when/if the remakes come out on the Switch)

I’d argue otherwise as Mario Kart 64 is on Switch Online and MK8D is one of the best selling switch games

I really want this game to come to Nintendo Switch Online already! It’s been over 25 years when it was released on the Nintendo 64!

My guess is that Smash is not built for Online play, so adding it to NSO and playing it as real-time multiplayer would not be an enjoyable experience.
