I like to flavor the Ushabti as basically a weaponized form of the bootstrap paradox. The bullet first flies out of the target and into the Omnigun only to be shot back in exactly the same bullet hole. The first (returning shot) is the one that does the damage, and the second( also a return shot) closes the timeloop. It plays well with the pegasus' whole prediction angle of things.

The omnigun: the only thing that happens in the casuality of the gun is 1. You pick the target. And 2. It is hit. All other parts of its existence are null.

Excep the damage, which is also 1.

Pair this mech with a superheavy rifle and watch your GM just cry as you one shot his tankiest unit on the map. Guaranteed 17 damage every other turn is nuts.

Just getting into Lancer, and I love all the "Why This Frame is Awesome" vids. Really helps me figure out what I wanna play and what I should be looking out for when I build a character. Keep up the hard work man! Your content's great.

Running with the Eye of Horus on a Chomolungma makes a lot of sense, because it lets you see when your System Crusher is going to break the target's heat cap. With the limitations on using System Crusher, being able to see in advance whether it's going to inflict burn is a pretty strong power. There aren't many ways to check on a target's heat, so being able to passively see that for every target in your sensor range is potentially very strong on any heat-focused builds.

Oh sweet mecha jesus not this thing... "It's just a meme it doesn't do anything." *laughs in Horus as it hacks reality with memes* That smart gun is practically broken on a Tokugawa. Had a sniper that regularly did 15 burn per shot. For the frame itself my favorite system is the mimic gun: anything that adds range adds damage. The two obvious boosts are stabilizers from Barbie and the batteries from Tokugawa.

Unfortunately, the mimic gun's damage isn't supposed to scale with bonus range: "The mimic gun does kinetic equal to 1 + half of its current *_base_* Range." Out of curiosity, how on earth were you getting 15 burn on a smartgun? Even with tokugawa converting damage to energy, only bonus damage converts to burn with plasma sheath. Was it just using Lucifer at really high reactor heat, plus like... OP Caliber or something?

@@spiritandsteel Re: Mimic Gun: I'm not sure if I didn't notice that or if they changed it in an intervening patch. Good catch. Re Tokugawa Sniper: Op Caliber, Nuculear Cav 2, Zero In (Rifleman 2), +3 damage (Limit Break).... So it's actually 3+3d6 (which is 13.5, but I was rounding up) + Lucifer. Technically you aren't critting EVERY shot or getting Luci on every shot, but the damage is still pretty insane. Ghengis Pilot: "Dear Ra, Think of The pillars!" Tokugawa Sniper: "Don't worry, I didn't actually pod kill them so it's still technically ethnical!" *cue scream of burning pilot on radio*
1st off dude absolutely love all your content, please keep it up!! :D I may or may not be a Pegasus Stan so I'd like to provide a bit of context to some of the points where you called out being unsure/questioning the viability of the abilities on the Pegasus itself. Mimic Gun + SISYPHUS-CLASS NHP combo: You always roll 3d20 when you provoke it, replacing all 3 numbers. Amazing weapon to combo with Heavy Gunner and SISYPHUS-CLASS NHP. You get 3 rolls for free at the start of combat. If you don't like those rolls, you can activate your SISYPHUS-CLASS NHP ability and save those numbers to insert them into the 3d20 numbers during your next Provoke. So, effectively, you can treat it as rolling 5d20. Takes 2 turns to set up (trigger NHP, then trigger Provoke), but you can still fire your Omnigun + Autoguns for free while doing so - meaning you're still dishing out damage while ensuring you get top notch rolls for your Mimic Gun. On top of that if you take Heavy Gunner, you're now buffing your damage on an Overwatch x2 weapon which can completely lock down enemy movement (if you have the second level Immobilize ability). Eye of Horus: Brilliant ability on Pegasus itself because it allows you to hit otherwise hidden/unable to be hit mechs with your autogun. You're also able to use this to piggyback on the Heavy Gunner. Additionally you can communicate the details to your party if coms aren't shut down - so you're able to get that info shared widely. SISYPHUS-CLASS NHP: Never thought about being able to use the same roll both times....AMAZING callout. But in addition to the above, you have *terrible* evasion, and Sisyphus gives you 2x opportunities to potentially make shots against you fail. Nice defensive ability. Additionally, when combining it with Eye of Horus you now know what you need to hit an enemy to kill them - and if one of your 20s provide a number sufficient to do so you've now guaranteed a kill. Brilliant on Pegasus because the free shots and the additional benefits to the locking down of movement as mentioned above. Would love to hear your thoughts on the details I've laid out, but hopefully it encourages you to think a little bit differently about some of the abilities as they can work on the Pegasus itself :)

The Pegasus is in an interesting place, because although it has the mounts of a super-heavy artillery, it has enough tech to make for a decent hacking frame and most of the license's weapons make for a solid skirmisher, which make it one of the most flexible mechs in the game. Considering how flexible the weapons and NHP companion are in how they can be used, that just really reinforces the idea. I'm an evil bastard, so I like just taking double auto-guns and turning the pegasus into a mid-range hacking mech, while letting the auto-guns do my damage for me.

Ah, the Pegasus, the weird Borzoi next to the Golden Retriever Lancaster and Labrador Kidd. If I recall correctly, I think this is the very frame that really got my attention to pull me into Lancer as a system, alongside the Sherman. No other frame, outside maybe the Balor, makes you understand how wonky H0rus really is. At this point, I don't know what would be worse, a Mimic Build using ALL the weapon specific talents at the same time, or tripple-Autogun, just spamming Sisyphus every turn to make your own bad rolls the DMs problem

I think when they were designing it they wanted to do a thing that modified the guns, but realized it wouldn't work with the Mimic Gun, so they just put a meme in, because Gun: Gun

The Ushabti Omnigun seems to be the function of a gun with none of the form. Also, the Autogun is not unique. You can get 5 of them.
