Simple reason. We cant even win our wars with local rebels for 50+ years and counting let alone a conflict with another country. Another factor is the Size and technology alone is a stone age and a space tech gap. Our army is still using arms from WW1. The Philippine Military is just like every other military troops, having it's own Infantry Regiments, Divisions and Battalions. Artillery Regiments, Armored battalions. The Filipino Military isn't special, these soldier experiences is useless if you are the one getting absolutely bombed by Artillery and getting Airstriked on, proving your experience useless before the fight even began. It has been proven in the Philippine-American war that Military Hardwares such as Artillery is still important, not just soldier's combat experience, as some veteran battalions under the Filipino that were used to be Spanish that fought against the Americans, failed under the enemies' artillery bombardment and routed after getting fired on with superior firepower of the American Krags than the Filipino Rolling Blocks. Perhaps the Filipinos still barely have any combat experiences except for fighting against guerilla within the country, the Filipino nowadays is still untested in Conventional Warfare ... But yeah, these Filipino Military biases is killing me though... Forgive my poor English, for I am a Filipino and English is my second languange

One notable advantage for the Philippine military, I think, is the availability and willingness of our military veterans to continue to train new recruits, officers, and enlisted personnel with their battle experiences. This passing of knowledge and experiences on the field combined with "newer" tech and S.O.P.s allows current military members to learn, overcome, and adapt should the need arise. As what you pointed out in your video, the Chinese hasn't been in any major conflict for decades. So basically, they have a really big military with very little combat experience. Just as the saying goes "old age and treachery will always overcome youth and exuberance".

I think the unique character of the Filipinos is that we have self-dignity, but we are not shackled with tradition. I mean, when Islam became the powerful civilization before the 15th century, Philippine Islands had powerful sultanate kingdoms, when Spain became the most powerful empire in the 15th century, Filipinos absorbed Catholicism and became the only Christian majority country in Asia (East Timor was previously part of Indonesia). When United States became the most powerful country in the 20th century, Filipinos absorbed American values of democracy, public service, and English. Chinese warlords, traders, and adventurers also settled in the Philippines, and Filipinos absorbed many Confusian values like respect for elders and duty to the family. Our national heroes like Dr. Jose Rizal, Juan Luna, Graciano Lopez-Jaena, etc. did not resist Spain because they wanted to go back to some ancient tradition, but rather, they fought to show that Filipinos were equally talented and capable to the best that Europe can handle. When Juan Luna bested the best of European painters in 1884 Madrid Exposition of Fine Arts winning the Gold medal with Spolarium, the Silver medal was won by a fellow Filipino painter Felix Hidalgo. Jose Rizal wrote elegant poems and his novels to show that Filipinos can write better Spanish than the best Spanish writers. What I mean is, Filipinos are always forward looking and can absorb new knowledge and technology, but we value respect - respect for self and respect for others. This is reflected in our national anthem, which ends with our vow never to surrender to invaders, and to shed our blood to fight oppressors. And for context, our national anthem has three official versions: Spanish, English, and Tagalog.

For your additional information, in Philippine history, there were not just three colonial powers that native and modern Filipinos fought. Great Britain also invaded us for a short period of time of about 3 years known as the Raid of Manila. Even Chinese pirates tried to attack us with Limahong being defeated. And also, the Marawi siege showcased the fastest battle to be won against ISIS aggression/invasion carried out by Philippine Military, Police and Coast Guard.
