Honestly, I love fighting the Halo 5 Promethean Knights, but quite literally every other Promethean is either boring or annoying to fight. Hopefully Halo 6 keeps the fun H5 Knights.

Prometheans should be way more powerful, use better tactics and be more intelligent on the battlefield. The ones portrayed here seems very weak.

Get rid of the crawlers. Reduce Watcher movement ,let them be headshot kill, throwable grenades and they can teleport.Also they should fly into you and explode after their allies are killed(but an equal chance is that they fly towards their next allies). The Knights should stay the same.(Maybe add to them like brutes from H2 to h3).And get rid of their ability to teleport(Maybe give them a shield). Finally the soldiers,have them drop in either via a dropship or phaeton that they themselves build,get rid of the sniper variant and their ability to teleport and give them more power weapons with predictable movements. The turrets ,you could turn them against their allies for 10-40 seconds before exploding. The Phaetons missiles must be replaced for a massive binary lazer and Scattershot turret and get rid of the teleport technique,instead perhaps implement a timed hardlight shield and reduce speed. Sentinels need to return,the prometheans are boring, also the storm faction must take a back seat and instead should be a rarity not every time you see them. The old forerunner art style must make up 80% of the forerunner art, but Id be happy to see the new stuff from time tk time. I havent come up with a new variant for the crawler yet.

I still don't understand why there are so many Prometheans now when prior to Halo 4, no one has ever seen them. Were there millions of them lying dormant on Requiem and because the Shield World was "activated" the Prometheans were freed? Were they dormant and just lying around the galaxy and no one noticed? Was their return prompted by Cortana's meddling in the Domain? I don't get how they have fleets of ships, combat units and massive numbers on colonies like Meridian when they weren't there prior to awakening the Ur Didact or during the Human-Covenant War.

There was no war; so the Promethean had nothing to fight against. Even in halo 4, you didn't see the Promethean when you were on the surface of requiem. You had to go inside the planet to see them. Same with centennials. You don't see them wondering about on the halo ring. You had to go to specific forerunner facilities to see them, like in the control center.

In Halo 4, Didact is able to compose an entire human city, i believe many of the prometheans there were composed humans from that city(the knights at least, the soldiers are just regular ai, so they are just built in masses).

He may be immune to the standard composition process, but 5 composers overlapping each other, maybe not so much. I think Brian Reed also said the Ur-Didact was in fact NOT composed, but that explosion did "something" to him. Masterchief himself says the Ur-Didact is most likely just contained, and not actually killed.

@@domp2729 It's not so much trust as the fact that Brian Reed was in charge of canon material at the time. Whether what he did is good or not is debatable (technically. Most of us agree H5's campaign was trash, myself being one of them), but he did do them, and they are cannon. Frankly, in this case what he did was awesome. He shouldn't have ended the Didact's arc in a comic, and thankfully, this little "maybe" allows for the Didact to return, should 343 wish to.

Could the creation of the composer be part of logic corruption inflected on the Ur-Didact by the Gravemind? The Flood believes in peace through unification, and the composer could be another tool for forcibly unifying life? E.g. if the flood was destroyed, and Gravemind’s conscious entered the domain, it could then use composers to create an army, and unify the sentient species.

I think they mention early testing of composing causes the patients to lose their minds. So it would compose their memories and turn them mechanical, but leaves the composed being mindless.

While playing Halo 4 on legendary just to get Chief's armor was... MADDENING, looking back at it, the difficulty of fighting the prometheans just proves that they were designed to fight something much more, perilous, like a flood outbreak. This explains the short range teleportation, flight, and their brutal melee (personal experience; prometheans punch HARD)

I love the Prometheans so much. Fighting and this video like them more as well as the flood. I mean the best veteran had to make something specifically for the flood as well as fighting everything else. But one thing I can't figure out about them. What ARE they? Living AI or an AI in a metal suit as if Cortana were operating a Spartan suit? I know at the start you said they are AI in a metal body but... When they teleport the whole shell goes too not just the orange glow. And since they're A.I can they hop in and out of computers?

The Ur-Didact entered a Cryptum after the human-Forerunner war and was awoken from his Cryptum **before** the Forerunner-Flood war. However, he was placed in a Stasis bubble and left in a flood overrun system where he would eventually reawaken from several centuries later. Some of your lore is wrong, but the bit about the Prometheans is correct.

It would be cool if zeta halo has its own monitor that is fixing it with sentinels and wants to fire it and then the flood arrive from an infected banished capital ship and from the halo itself. And then somehow the didact, covenant, and swords of sanghelios arrive and fight together to stop the flood and the new monitor. (twist in the plot) 343 guilty sparks essence is found by forerunners and is put back into a chassis( the monitor) and he is trying to fix and activate zeta halo.

Hypothetically speaking, couldn't a gravemind infect a composer with the logic plague?? Or even the A.I. in control of it? (Cortana, cough, Cortana.) Think about it, Cortana was trapped on High Charity for a long time, in Halo 3 she is seen breaking under the pressure of the Gravemind. Who is to say she wasn't infected? Now that she's entered the domain, the logic plague could spread to all A.I. that come in contact with it, AND Cortana is in control of all the Forerunner super weapons

I loved fighting the Prometheans in halo 4 and in halo 5. I take every Halo game as it's own adaptation of a chapter in Halo. I don't see an issue with the games I LOVE 1 through 5.

Didact teams up with chief and arby? Sounds like something a kid would say he wants in a disney movie. The mistake 343 did was put all the didacts character development in the comics instead of an in game experience thus failing to demonstrate how much of a powerful character he is in the halo universe and not just your typical antagonist. The comics was simply a substantial way 343 choose to further develop the didact's reputition because it did not appeal to an audiance that was big or strong enough to carry on the impression that was intended.

I just wanna see the Ur-Didact be reformed, after everything he has been through, I feel he deserves a chance to have his mind restored and an opportunity to attone by helping a new united galaxy against a Precursor/Flood invasion. It would be the ultimate middle finger to the Precursors and their "test" if humanity united as many sapient races together as possible and obliterated both the Flood and the idea of any one race holding the Mantle.

The Created are a cliched problem that 343i will have to write themselves out of. As for ONI, exploration of how they might be opposed or in some ways supportive to such a shift for humanity would be quite fascinating once the Flood are no longer a problem and we still have the Halo Array floating and up for grabs.
