As a keyboard enthusiast with more than 10 expensive boards, I must say that if you think the Rainy75 is standard and there is nothing special about it then, you are just wrong. First of all it wipes the floor clean vs the old Jelly Epoch which is well over 400$ second-hand market. It has wireless/bluetooth a good weight and a really nice sound. It is also full build for that amount unlike the other expensive boards which cost so much bare-bones. I really don't get your frustration here maybe you are not that deep in the hobby but I'm telling you the Rainy75 is probably the best budget board right now. Even the ND75 can't compare to it because it doesn't have VIA support. The only bad thing about the Rainy is the plate mounted stabs another than that it's a banger that is worth the wait.

I got the standard version through kickstarter and really like it. However the lack of communication and sending to vendors before those who paid for their massive initial production run was unacceptable. It's not whining, it's just stating a facts and telling the company we expect you to do better next time.

There's a reason why there is only 40 likes on a video with over 4K views, this review means practically nothing and calling it basic and comparing it to other boards on the market that are much less significant and offer a lot less is incredible to me, the switch problem wasn't a manufacture issue, you were just rough trying to take it out. Very nit-picky and you have way too high expectations for a cheap keyboard that offers more than everything you suggested. L video & L review

I think the way you precive this keyboard is wrong it is not meant to be a "unique" keyboard in the aspect of features but instead a cheeper option for those who are getting into custom keyboards who are switching from something like a gaming keyboard but dont want to completly break the bank. this keyboard will give you an amazing representation of what custom keyboards can be. It's so refreshing to see a counterpoint to the otherwise rampant praise on this board. I own a Yunzii AL71 and I was confused as to why the Rainy75 seemed to be such a big deal--my thoughts were along the lines of what you pointed out that these boards do already exist. The internals seem exactly the same as my Yunzii. To me what makes it different from those stock aluminum keyboards available on Amazon is the bottom weight. That pretty consistently remains a feature of custom keyboards made by smaller companies. But this one didn't match my tastes enough for me to buy it.

I'm thinking of getting a cheaper keyboard thats around the 150ish or less price range. so far the rainy75 seems like the "best option." The only thing holding me back is how long it might take to get my keyboard if i buy it (would be around 120 if i did go for it.) I want my keyboard to arrive fairly quickly. So if this takes forever I might just go for a leobog hi75, keychron v1, or aepomaker th80se. Or anything else I find that might be good idk. Too new to this and honestly I don't care much for the absolute best value i just want good quality and good aesthetics.

@@getsmarthomeoffice The switch under Caps Lock is a battery on-off switch, it doesn't control the mode at all.... So how you use it is... IF you are always going to have it plugged in, even if you use wireless to connect to other devices, you can leave the switch OFF and toggle the modes through FN+Tab, and there are LEDs in the top left keys showing you the mode (esc = wired, F123 = bluetooth, F4 = 2.4ghz dongle). If you want to use the board away from the cable, moving it away from your desk, then you change the switch to ON so that the battery is live and your wireless mode will still continue function after you unplug from your desk.

I’d say I agree with your points after watching the whole video. I am a casual in this hobby and I also would not invest in a long wait for this keyboard. Yes its price is attractive but for the wait and the unfair vendor situation. It just seems like you could save the money and more to purchase a better option on the market. The switch QC is also frustrating as it seems. The breaking is what I had before when I tried cheap switches from China. I think people are just upset cause they already spent money and are closing their ears.

I share your disappointment regarding the availability of the keyboard outside of the Kickstarter project. For example, I recently received the Rainy 75 Pro White keyboard, which I ordered a month ago on AliExpress and paid a total of 163 euros (176$!!!), including shipping. This is far from Wob's slogan of a wonderful keyboard for just $100. As I mentioned, I received the keyboard a week ago. It's my first keyboard of this level, and I can confirm the excellent build quality and the great sound during typing on almost all the keys. Regarding the inconvenience of accessing the switch under the Caps Lock key, I find it cumbersome as well. However, fortunately, it's not a factor that affects me much since I haven't needed to access it once it was activated. But if you ask me if it's inconvenient, I'd definitely say yes! I'm sorry the keyboard didn't meet your expectations. The Kickstarter participation issue certainly deserved more consideration. I fear the enormous demand for this keyboard may have caused Wob's team to lose control.
