Everyone thinks the remigration meeting was meant to initiate and discuss a Holocaust 2.0. Yes, seriously, the meeting was openly compared to the Wannsee conference from 1942 and even called Wannsee 2.0 by the media and everyone says remigration is just a synonym for forced deportation. Remigration policy can be successful by increasing incentives for migrants to leave (assimilation policy), by decreasing the incentive to stay/come (decrease of welfare, abolishing dual citizenship), and by increasing incentives of origin countries to admit the migrants back (education of migrants). I think you overestimate the stability of the current (global) political order. Your analysis is (almost) correct in my opinion assuming that the concurrent order is maintained and furthermore survives, let us say, the next 50-100 years. Yet, I don’t think that is the case at all. If you follow and listen to someone like Peter Zeihan, it becomes clear why such is the case (even if he, in my opinion, can be a little dramatic. Suffice to say, we are entering a new era wherein a new political order is to be mended. Observing the current economic, political, ideological, and security tendencies and concerns of most nations, the new order will (most likely) be a highly localized one, meaning that local states form the rules and struggle in their local environment, as opposed to one global ruleset maintained by one superpower. In the case of Europe - where the situation is perhaps the worst - the new local orders will be maintained by the local regional powers of Europe (i.e. Germany, France, Poland, UK, etc.) and consequently will be responding to their interests only. These countries are (in general) going to experience if not total economic collapse (primarily Germany), as internal trade and demographics recline. Which, among other things, is going to fuel the public (the ordinary citizen) against the current institutions and government (which is internationalistic) resulting increased nativism (which is already on the rise). The economic (and institutional) collapse is then further going to heighten already tense social issues (immigrant vs. native), causing a further shift towards nativism. Add on top of that external security issues, such as Russia, or more generally interstate rivalries (like between the French and the Germans), and this is further going to drive the public towards nativism. Thus, nativism is (probably) going to be the order of the day in Europe in the future, as the current situation deteriorates, and is most likely going to (re)gain an ethnic component. Because such is the historical norm; difficult conditions create survival orientated self-focused political entities, focused on their own (ethnic) interests - as the political entity represents (typically) an ethnic group. Hence, I think the internal issues are (probably) going to sort themselves out in the future, as conditions deteriorates, yet what comes of the external issues I have no idea. Perhaps (if not most likely) the solution chosen is just to forgo the external component entirely, as such would be possible in a highly localized world (and is historically not unheard of). Yet, under any circumstance, the choice made is going to dependent on the severity and condition of the condition.

Nativism sounds a little vague. Given the falling birth rates of native populations who exactly is going to decide who is a native and who is not?
@SuperCoolDJ Жыл бұрын
@@tanler7953 Good point. Yet, there is still today - even if some do not want to admit it - at clear distinction between natives and migrants is all European countries - even in the US there is such too, though perhaps to a lesser extent - which distinction mostly follows ethic lines. Such will not change in the future no matter the birthrate. Think of how even internally amongst modern Europeans many still distinguish among ethnic lines, even if the ethnicities are closely related: ‘You are Swedish, not Danish, even if you live here (Denmark)’ etc. Ethnic lines are already established and not going to vanish - especially not between populations which are so far apart, as is the case with modern Europeans and immigrants. The only case where a difficulty might occur is if one specific immigrant group becomes so large that it begins to encompass and influence a nation to its core, all by itself. Yet, I do not think that is going to happen in the foreseeable future; firstly, given that, while there are a lot of immigrants, they are from diverse backgrounds and as such do not constitute a unified entity, which could do so; and secondly, whilst the amount of immigrants are high a significant portion of them are from other European countries - in the case of Europe - who would be identified and identifies themselves with their ethnic homeland more so than their host country.

Here´s my theory: Mass migration is happening becuase of the economic and monetary policy. These migrants have value as they have no debts, and when they enter a western country, the financial sector can categorize them as equally valuable as a western european and put debt on them, expanding the money supply in circulation. Now since these migrants have been categorized as valuable assets with debt on them, what would happen if they do get forcefully deported to the third world? That investment disappears and there's monetary deflation, money gets wiped out of circulation. Even if these migrants never have a single day of productivity in the west, they are needed for their monetary purpose as a method of expanding the money supply, and as a result, stimulate consumption. This can't go on forever, eventually the bust phase will come and the neoclassical keynesian economics will end as well, and probably be replaced by New Modern Monetary Theory. That means these migrants who are full of debts and have no economic potential will no longer be seen as valuable assets in the economy will be seen as wastings assets that are quickly losing all value. In that case, the economy will demand depopulation, regardless of political party. The economic pressures have proven to be more powerful than the will of the people. And you're right about remigration, when you get into the details of it, it's likely impossible to do it in the millions that is required. But if we cannot deport them, and we have an economy that demands a huge reduction of quickly depreciating wasting assets, then what's the other alternative? KZbin Guidelines prevent me from saying what's likely going to happen instead. Racial co-existence won't last forever. Remigration will likely not happen, but that does not make it impossible for countries to become homogenous again.

So as soon as those immigrants have children those children are classified as non valuable. Could just deport all those with an immigrant background. But it does seem true that they see the power and presitige of a country linked with consumerism and a theoretical higher military and political potential. Its basically the leaders of western countries trying to prevent decline as decline would lead to talent moving over seas in a domino effect. Once another country can entice rocket scientists and engineers from the west to come to their countries they will start to succeed. Indias nuclear program was almost entirely done with french and osraeli scientists but the pakistani one took until the 1990s because they didnt have the same lebels of foreign scientists supports. The western countries can say on paper they have so many assets and consumption and it only takes the most rich people who control the governments to continue to let these people in. Much like european colonialism was done almost entirely with the support with the richest one percent of people in those areas where they could keep their position.

@@tanler7953 Not for governments and the central bank, but for the private sector, yes there is. The debt is measured measured relative of the value of assets. Remigration is not inherently about forced deportations of citizens, it's about giving people who haven't fully integrated and don't fully identify with the country they are citizens of incentives to emigrate. For example offering money and free 1-way tickets to such people in exchange for them giving up their citizenship and moving somewhere else. In many cases this would be cheaper than having them stay in the country. Something like that would also be desirable for the destination countries, especially if they are poor. Because suddenly there are people coming with significant amounts of foreign currency, thereby stimulating the economy. And they are also people who in many cases have much better education than the locals (even if in the European countries that they left they would not be competitive), which also gives a long-term boost. It's a win-win-win: the country that gets rid of them saves money in the long term and gets rid of people that don't integrate well, the people who are remigrating get enough money to start a new life in the country that they would be going back to, and the destination country gets an economic boost from people coming back.
