When we read the resurrection accounts in all four Gospels they differ on certain things. Does this make them unreliable and false? Follow me on Facebook / oneminutepreacher

Read an account in four different newspapers of an event which happened yesterday [or watch four different versions of the tv news]. There will be differences in detail between them. Therefore there are also differences in detail between the Biblical accounts of the Resurrection.

But the bible is supposed to be without error ? And what about Peter account of a talking cross ? I think a good detective discounts a lot of what witness say and don’t forget that this was a cold case as the conflicting depositions of the each witness wasn’t taken down for maybe 30 or 50 years.

If Jesus is real why he can’t show himself to us right now? End the confusion

While the witnesses differ, they all agree the tomb was empty.

even if the Empty tomb is absolute truth. Doesn't mean that Jesus was resurrected. Mark was the first account of this.. and the original ending.. no one one saw Jesus after death. However, as time progresses, more additions are made to the original that then go on to "witness" seeing Christ or a form of Christ and his great commission. If this happened.. it is the main point of the entire gospel. And the original Mark gospel just forgot to mention it?? 🤔

@@jamessheffield4173 ya. Probably not going to read that. You haven't told me anything of value that encourages me to read it. I could point to books as well, but shouldn't the bible be more reliable?

@@drumwaves1 If you don't want to read, my elder son Jonathan Sheffield did a You Tube video on the end of Mark. In Defense of the Last 12 Verses of St.Mark Gospel against James White, Wallace & Erhman

@@jamessheffield4173 I watched the video and I must say.. it was extremely difficult to even finish. It starts with slandering his opposition. Calling it a "fairy tale". Displaying "poisoning the well" from the start. His "strong evidence" came from 130 years after the gospel of Mark was written. Another 40 or so years after John. The story had already morphed by 180 AD. I would totally expect it to show signs of orthodox Christian stories. That is by no means "strong evidence". if anything, I view it as support to the counter argument. I would say that it's obvious he's an apologist (as I once was). Seems like he has good intentions, but the tact used in witnessing could greatly be improved. Very off putting. This is a big part of the divide in our world today. Not enough individuals sharing knowledge with tact. He was just slandering the entire time.

There are no true discrepancies or actual contradictions in the accounts

Lmao. Gods word apparently has inconsistent POVs for the most important event in Christian theology. I guess gods omniscience is similar to seeing a dumpster fire from multiple perspectives. He’s the one that inspired the accounts, right? 🤔

People can basically spin "tailor made" explanations to account for the bible inconsistencies AFTER THE FACT. The fact is that the inconsistencies are still in the bible and still require extreme verbal gymnastics to explain them. Some Christians explain the bible inconsistencies by comparing them to differences in modern day crime scene testimonials. This is stupid as the Bible deals with the most important event in history - the Resurrection of Christ - so it should be accurate unlike crime scene testimonials which have no bearing on world humanity.

Ridiculous. You are trying to talk about what would happen in normal investigations while also saying there were angels and people rising from the dead. This is proof that the Bible is not the perfect word of God.
