I've said this a million times: grading cards, tickets, packs, comics, etc. is the biggest scam ever laid on the collecting industry. Billions of dollars a year is made off people getting these things graded. Collect the item, not the grade.

I cancelled my PSA membership the other day, not only did I not want to pay them 50% more each year but I am tired of playing games on the grades of the cards. I have sent a lot of cards where I feel like I got screwed on the grade, I have cracked and resubmited PSA 8s and got 10s. I am going to buy raw and just hold till I am ready to sell then I will grade them if it makes sense.

It makes alot of sense that incentive is built in to their business model. It means that certain cards that are on that $500 bubble will get the “up” bump, right or the higher end cardswill have an easier path to a GEM. Thanks Paul

Another reason I won’t be grading for a very long time. They keep changing everything and who knows how much more they will change. I’ll keep my cards raw until all the dust settles.

I am a new subscriber and I have been enjoying watching your videos as they pop up. I am usually in agreement with your views on the hobby and the bs going on. In this video you say you grade and get rid of em because they are worthless. I also hear you say in other videos how good you are for the hobby. Why even play the game? Dont be stupid, everyone trying to make a buck off their "hobby" by grading with a company that is sucking money from said hobby like a vacuum and providing no real value is being fairly stupid. I collect raw and refuse to pay a premium for a third party that have proven themselves bad for the collector. This is truly a hobby to me so I dont need to grade and flip to pay rent or eat. Good stuff as always, keep dancing!

i make sure everyone knows that cards are investments and that they all go to zero... why play the game, 1) this is a hobby that i grew up on and it was good, 2) someone in this space needs to speak up, 3) if im not living the hobby, how can i tell what i see, and 4) i have no life and this is my hobby... basically, i just want everyone to know the risk of spending a lot of money on "investments" thanks for watching friend!!!

I have been making my own custom slabs for my PC. Tons of nice card holders for cheap. PSA isn’t going anywhere. Not unless you change the hobby. Maybe in years to come when software and AI come into play. Bias and up charges create a “gray area” where PSA profits. We are just pawns in the game. Guppies in the shark infested waters lol

PSA sucks. Overpriced, horrible turnaround times, inconsistent grading, ugly slabs, and impossible to work with. Plus, they take submissions from known card doctors. Avoid them like the plague.

Ha, so right sports cards anit gonna make you rich! It's a hobby whether you like it or not. Ebays fees and the auction houses to, the fees are too high! Ebay, you have the product, you write the add, you have to ship it out correctly and insure it sometimes. Ebay is just a platform, you do all the dirty work & labor. Is it any more difficult to post a $10 sportscard than a $1000 one? It cant be that much more difficult for Ebay. If sportscards are your hustle it's a side hustle, not a full time job. It's just a gig.

The Rationale: The moment I heard about Upcharge Fees, coming from the very Grading Service, my common sense knew ' Something Was Up .' Common Sense Said...: ' They Didn't Collect It, but somehow, a myriad of grading companies managed to sell Hobbyists on the idea of a card having Value, so long Ass the card is put in a piece of plastic that THEY choose, with a simple label, lol. Meanwhile..., They managed to Cut Themselves In For 35% Percent on Everything I gathered over 33 Years.. I said to myself: " My Aching Ass They Aren't.."..!!. 🧐✌❤❤❤❤

i been saying grading is a scam from the get go (15 yrs ago) simply due to the fact they can change one little thing on a slab and youd have to resubmit cards thats how they will keep what they call churn going

Thank you so much for this important video. Maybe when people see this they will wake the hell up. I have always said that PSA is running the biggest scam ever in the hobby. The upcharging is the worst part. It take the same amount of time to grade a dollar card as it takes to grade a million dolar card. Just another way for them to rip you off for more of your money. BIGGG video, wild how easily you got the list that they are probably kicking them selves about now. If they do crack down tho, the bulk subs would probably start a new LLC and do it all over again. They just need to find a machine that detects the stuff. Probably still wouldn't matter because "some cards" would still pass through and get slabbed. cheers brotha
