What I noticed is that the stress almost always goes on root of the word and the position of the stress doesn't change if the word is changed depending on context

I'm finding that the problem with learning the language is that it's hard to find dictionaries/vocabulary lists that show which syllable in a word the stress is on, or what kind of stress.

@@andras5319 Thank you, but I was talking about English-Slovene dictionaries. Since posting my comment, I've found that the online English-Slovene dictionary at en.pons.com/translate does provide stress indicators. The current version of "Colloquial Slovene" does, too.

"Pès" zvuči kao da je "šva" u sredini. Nisam znao da i Slovenski ima različite naglaske na samoglasnicima :) Although, duljine mi zvuče slično, više zvuči kao da su samoglasnici različiti (npr. otvoreno, zatvoreno "e", i "šva").
