Titan is my first ship as well and I still use it... don't think i'll ever melt it. Totally agree that its basically a mini cutty black. But to this day, I still enjoy its nice lines when I call it out in my hanger.

Whenever I fly it, I always smile because I remember my first few weeks in Star Citizen. It was my only ship for 5 years

3 years into this sandbox, +/-4000hrs & the Titan is still my go-to. If I were to put my thumb on it, 3000hrs of flight time & lots of interesting stories to tell. The bonus is the pulse coming to in-game shops, which elevates the Titan to the level of medium ships. High speed, low drag. In & out without being noticed.

I still recommend the Penguin to others as their first starter ship. It's an excellent ship, though it could use a bit of a refresh and polish pass.

Ive been playing over 5+ yrs, and have always had a Titan, my mini Shuttle, and the roar of those engines.....awesome little ship. Kudos

One of my favorites. They need to redo the interior tho. Update it

It's the only one that's not been nerfed. It truly is one of the best ships right now. Old reliable.

It will get nerfed. If it doesn't, they need to rewrite the lore and make it the preferred multi-role ship still in contract with the UEE. As a combat pilot, why would I take the Gladius over the Titan?

While technically it can hold a couple of 4SCU containers, trying to get them in and out on a windy planet/moon is not a fun experience! I’m still glad I paid a little extra to upgrade from my original pledge Aurora though.

You are far too humble about your FPS and ship-to-ship fighting skills, but this is one of the reasons I love your vids. Quiet confidence! As a new player (3 months for me) I would appreciate as much of your wisdom on techniques, load out and tactics as you care to share would be great. Also would appreciate some b-roll when things didn't go as well, and what you learned. Thank you again!

Aye, same. I keep hearing that this is by far the best starter ship, but I an just having trouble making it work. So, Omniskys instead of BRRRRRRRT seems to be the way to go

Yep it's my current starter ship

Yep, the Titan is the best started ship period. The purpose of a starter ship is to introduce you to the game's basic mechanics by facilitating multiple "crucial" gameplay loops. The Titan does that brilliantly and better than most ships are its price point. The 1st thing a new player should do is box delivery missions to learn the ins and out of quantum traveling. Most starters can do that well, however, after that the next loop new players should do is combat. Specifically bounties. Most starters can do it well, but what sets the Titan apart is that it excels at it. And unlike the Arrow, the Titan still maintains access to other gameplay loops thanks to its 8 SCUs of cargo capacity. So the new player can get an introduction to smuggling, light cargo trading, and even bunker missions. All while having a superb ship for combat, which is what these players need to gain practice at. All the other starters either cost a lot of money, such as the Cuttie Black and Taurus, wouldn't have access to many gameplay loops, such as the Arrrow, or are subpar at combat, as in the case of the Mustang, Aurora, Pisces, and the like. This means the Titan is truly the king of starters! When I started playing SC, I ignored these facts and went straight into the industrial ships, and the end result was that I avoided combat altogether, which over time turned into a straight up disability. I found myself having to learn the fundamentals of ship combat, literally years after I started playing SC. Don't make my mistake new players. Get yourself a Titan and head straight to bounties and learn the ropes!

Titan is definitely the best starter, especially if you get it now for 56$ and use a referral your get a hover quad to throw in the back

I have managed to salvage a S7 cannon with this ship. The rear door had to be open but it worked. It was only outside a station so no QT involved...

It's not just one of the best starter ships. It's also a ship most pvp players place in A tier when comparing other solo ships. Why would you spend $100 on a dedicated light fighter, when you can spend $60 and get a multi-role starter that can outclass that light fighter?
@kevtheancient11 күн бұрын
It is the best starter ship but I melted mine because I would rather have at least a 2 weapon rack and some storage instead of a non-functional aesthics.

If you got a good pc that can run it and won't pull your own hair out because of bugs then maybe but only a starter pack. It's really not a game yet
