I own this watch. To me its the most refined tudor/rolex dive watch. Vintage rolex is too janky and modern is too bulky. The bb54 is refined in case size, thickness, bezel, flatter case (vs bulbous bb58), etc.

Don't know man. Picked up a new 38mm Seiko Marinemaster SJE099, and I can honestly say it's the more refined watch. While I like the BB54, I can't get behind the clean monochromatic bezel in conjunction with gilt dials, the case geometry is rudimentary at best, and the bracelet is unrefined, even if the ti-fit clasp is considered superior. Aluminium bezels however, are indeed much nicer than ceramics. But all in all, I don't see any reason to pick one up from where I'm sitting.

@@Chrissepisje Fair points, man! The 38mm Seiko Marinemaster SJE099 is definitely a refined piece with its own unique charm. I hear you on the monochromatic bezel and gilt dials - they might not be everyone’s cup of tea. As for the bracelet and case geometry on the BB54, I can see how it might feel a bit rudimentary compared to what Seiko brings to the table (good quality + compelling price point). The aluminum bezel choice is interesting, too; there’s definitely a nostalgic appeal there. Appreciate your insights - that’s the beauty of the watch world; different tastes and preferences for everyone!

@@Watch-Wined don't get me wrong, er? The BB54 is an enlightened diver's watch. It is very well built, it has a much more regulated movement than the Seiko, and it appeals to those that prefer their watches on the tooly side. I just react the way I do because I feel not every collection needs one. The older I get, the more I gravitate towards dress watches, so I might even doubt if a collection "needs" any tool watch at all. I started out from the position that one needs the sturdiest of watches, and after ten years of collecting and flipping I figured out that my wife is right: It's jewelry. Buy what you think is pretty, and what fits your style. That is why the Marinemaster is better for me. I'm a pedestrian looking middle aged man who can use all the bling he can get his hands on. 😉🤣

​@@Watch-Wined I would also say that your wrist is not 6.75.... I have a 6.5 wrist... I think you should remeasure... From the case size I would say your wrist is 6.25 also where on your wrist are you measuring?
