I bought this watch a week ago. Stunning on wrist. Very comfortable. Easy to read. Nice blue and perfect case. Awesome MilSub vibe. My favorite Tudor. Great review.

Best Pelagos to date..Period. Especially for those who appreciate that "Less is More" in the world of tool watches.

Wonderful review! And your online review mentioned a few little things I hadn't noticed about my new FXD. One interesting note- French commandos who actually use this watch for its intended purpose refer to themselves as combat "swimmers," not combat "divers." They're very serious about this difference. And it speaks to the functionality of the FXD, which is designed not as a typical dive watch for plummeting the depths, but instead designed for "swimming" below the surface on military missions. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the FXD after owning it for a year or two.

Was lucky enough to be able to pick one of these up recently. I do not have a large wrist and it wears really nice do not let the dimensions discourage you. I love the vintage MN snowflake's, but would never be able to afford one and this is a great option to scratch that itch. For being a purpose built no nonsense dive watch that looks great on wrist it really knocks it out of the park.

Can I ask the wrist size? All the reviews say it wears smaller. But, hard to nail down stats.

2 years later, I got mine with the case back marked MN22. loved this watch right from the beginning Tudor brought out the Reb bull version which I hated. but redeemed themselves with the US Navy black version but as far as the FXD is concerned, for me it is only the Marine Nationale FXD that I would want

In all the reviews no one seems to mention that this seems like Tudors answer to the latest Omega NTTdie Seamaster. Both Titanium Both 42mm both fully lumed bezel both no date , both military connection, although you could say This Tudor is more legit as actually issued. ( i know Omega have permission to use the broad arrow from MO defence and have had many prev legit military watches. Ps did you know Daniel Craig is an honoury Commander In British Navy, his father Served. Of course the Tudor is about half the price. Cheers

I tried the MN FXD at the Windup WatchFair in SF last month and I’m glad I did because several things became apparent, listed in no particular order: (1) despite the wingspan, it wears well on my wrist; (2) the blue hue is not saturated, it’s French blue (à propos) and it goes well with dark-gray titanium ; (3) the bidirectional bezel is 120-click and has amazing purchase; (4) I was reminded of the Timex Camper I had as a boy because of the monobloc case/lug design; (5) this was going to be my GADA* watch. Wearing a watch connected to the Commando Hubert - what’s not to love about a group that protects the High Seas from bloodthirsty Somalian pirates?!! *my suits generally stay in the closet but if necessary, this will go in a pouch and I’ll wear my Nomos Ludwig or antique Hamilton Ashley.

Picked one up also right before the new year and I love it more every day. Fits awesome on 7” wrist, dial color and brushed titanium look is fantastic…just ordered the M.N. Erikas original parachute strap someone else mentioned below as well. I love the factory strap but would like to keep it in good condition.

Great job with this video Blake! I think it offers a really good balance of depth and accessibility, especially considering that someone who wants more detail can dig into your written review. A follow-up video that I'd love to see the W&W team produce is a round-up comparing some of the key Tudor references featuring the MT56X2 movement-I think it would be cool to see the breadth of offerings built around that movement.

Luv the Tudor brand and even own a few of their latest timepieces. The FXD is a great looking purpose built watch however, the Nato strap specific design just doesn't do it for me. Thanks for great review Blake, looking at those watch boxes of yours you need to do a `State of the Collection' Vid!

The regular Pelagos bracelet is so great, which is my only issue with this watch. I do also like that the blue is a bit darker than in the regular blue Pelagos. Thanks for the explanation about the lug-to-lug. I bet this would wear great on an MN type elastic strap. I'll be the first to mention it, but the blinking clock was driving me crazy while watching.🙂

Not impossible someone could do an after market bracelet with some kind of adapter or even a one piece mesh strap! Cheers

Great review and watch. One note - I’ve owned all three Pelagos and was offered the FXD in 2021 when it first came out and I have to disagree, it is not thinner. I recognize the case is technically thinner but due to the fixed spring bars and having to utilize pass-through or NATO style straps, the effective thickness is nearly the same if not thicker with some NATO straps. Cheers
@michaelbishop91572 жыл бұрын
the case isn't 'technically' thinner - it is significantly thinner at 12.75mm vs 14.3mm.

I'm about to purchase either a Pelagos FXD black (or blue... if someone manages to change my mind 😉) or an Omega Seamaster Nekton... I would like to hear a few opinions about these, which may help with my choice - thanks!

In what way is it horrendous? The snowflake hand is what gives Tudor watch its identity. Don’t like it, go buy another brand.
