For future reference, when you go online to set an appointment they are always full for months. The trick is, they aren’t actually full they just set them that way. Just call them and they will manually give you the appointment in one of those “full” spots. They have been doing this since the big C hit.

am just commenting here because I know my comment won't apear, if you are planning to film next time in the Moroccan southern Sahar don't call it western sahara, you maybe get denied from entering again or get deported, it's a part of Morocco as you can see from the video, no borders no currency change no flag change just like any other part

You know you're in a house with a good vibe and a person of culture if they have a cat. This video randomly popped up on my feed and I’m so glad I watched it! What a beautiful video, an incredible story, and by letting the world guide you where you needed to end up, you got to experience the Sahara with what seems like an amazing, kind group of people! As a person who doesn’t travel much (I've been to just China, Vietnam, Singapore, and Russia), this is very inspiring, educational, and truly enjoyable! It is incredible to see how even though we may not understand what someone is saying verbally, we can all feel each other's emotions Morocco fun fact: Morocco is famous for the tree-climbing goats, who climb such trees to eat argan fruit (which is then digested, and its kennels pooped out) as part of the process for argan oil.

This experience as it unfolded hit me in a surprising way, I started crying, out of nowhere, remembering all my own similar travel experiences of when I was your age, 20-30 years ago. I think if you used and uploaded your filled American passport details/scan then the visa would've been approved. Even if the US embassy punched holes in your old passport, I'm sure you must've had a scan on your PC. If you showed up at the border with your emergency passport you would've been ~85% let through. India's visa application uses a lot of AI and it must not have recognized the rare US emergency passport and sort of auto-rejected. Visiting the Indian Embassy in Europe would've been the better play. Either way cool adventure! Highly recommend India, its an amazing place to travel to for sure.

As an American who has lived in India for 3 years now on a business visa, I wouldn’t try that. Ive lived in 4 other countries before this, and traveled to about 40. I can say from my experience that India is so far the biggest pain to enter/exit from. If you’re not using a diplomatic passport or in business class then the process will really test your patience and that’s with having all your affairs in working order.
@MrLegendra
@MrLegendra Жыл бұрын
@@azero2 I have also been to India a few times - but on a tourist visa not business. I personally always had a good and smooth experience, but I’m sure it depends on the agent you get. Maybe business visa people get more scrutiny or you went to a country that is a security risk for them. Not sure

Sometimes life just has other plans for you, and it's amazing when it works out! Going with the flow is the best way to travel. That emergency passport took you on such a great adventure. Not only did you get to camp in the Sahara, which few people can say they have even seen, but you also got rained on in the Sahara which is rarer still...and you experienced it all on your birthday...PRICELESS! And you formed friendships for a lifetime! A fun fact about Morocco, Morocco was the first nation to publicly acknowledge American independence, allowing American flag-flying ships in their ports on December 20, 1777. France was the first in general as Louis XVI said he recognized the US on December 6, but he didn't sign the treaty.

For someone with zero chill, you absolutely amaze me. The way you make it all seem so easy and natural, to make connections with people like that. I went on a spontaneous weekend trip to stay in a campervan with $15 return plane tickets and I spent the majority of the trip on the verge of a panic attack, assuming everything would go wrong. It didn't, of course. I want to live more like this. I will say though, as a woman I do get a little scared sometimes, I don't think I would be so brave but part of that is to protect myself. so idk..

To be honest it's perfectly normal to feel the way you feel in the modern world; but you can ask yourself "should it be that hard" and sometimes the answer is "no". My gf had the same thoughts about travelling and safety in general, turned out it was not only plain justified fear, but with a good load of anxiety added on top of it. She's still working on it, but says she didn't even know life can be this much easier before she looked for help on that.

You made me go and look at my older US passports. Apparently the rules changed at the end of 2015. Prior to that I had 26 extra pages (A to X) added into my US passports several times. In the past you could just stop in most any US embassy abroad and requested extra pages. I do not recall a fee, if there was one it was small. At one time extra pages were sewn in but in my two most recent passports they were taped in. This was a convenient service while living abroad as several countries in the region where I resided used full page visas in addition to the common entry and exit stamps. One thing I will not regret is finally getting to the front of the line for my exit stamp and watching the departure immigration officer pull my exit card loosing the marked page and then watching them try for too long to find my most recent entry stamp in a passport with 50 plus pages and hundreds of similar purple stamps. Only to be repeated shortly later by the arriving immigration officer at the next country's entrance. I got very good at knowing the shapes and sizes of different stamps. If you travel or live abroad long enough you will experience the need to carry expired passports with unexpired multi use visas. My son was born abroad. I got him a US passport in short order. I had to go a special foreigners bureau to get an entry stamp in his passport for his being born into the country. On his fist trip abroad I took him with me to visit friends just before Christmas; his mom stayed home, but did give me a shopping list. At the border crossing I was delayed while immigration checked with her that it was okay for him to leave with me. When we returned from that first trip he received a dual national special visa in his US passport when I presented his birth certificate. As long as he carries that old passport he can enter visa free for life even though that old passport is long expired now. Other countries have similar procedures, some quite different, and procedures change with time. Many countries require an entry or special stamp in new replacement passports for lost passports; this can be a hassle if you fail to get that stamp in advance of departing. Countries want to stop people who over stay their visa and then "loose" their passport; a fairly common practice with some travelers and expats.

Yep that's how easy this problem was to solve 10 years ago. Now you have to get a new one if you're full? Surprised the world hasn't moved to a digital visa system where you still have a passport, but get your visas and arrival stamps in an ap and online instead.

@@arjix8738 Schengen area is convenient like traveling in the states, except you have nice trains and buses and we don't. Airlines is what America depend on for long distance short term travel like tourism or see family over Christmas. We got some serious problems going on these days where the economic system itself is on the cusp of breaking which is worrying for we need electricity, natural gas, local public transit, and food which all breaks down when there's big problems. Horrible for America traveliers the past two weeks. I knew to stay home hunkered down in front of my screen, but also no longer expected to go see familyl since we're all split up the past 10 years.

after clicking on this video I was thinking this was going to be another one of those videos... I was completely surprised. He is a great story teller and this video just feels good. I cannot explain it, it is wierd. I hope he does not stop and continues to grow himself as a content creator, director and dreamer. I will be watching more videos and I think I will not be let down. I dont know if his channels are the only funding he has for his travels or where it might come from. He is making every dollar count for sure. Keep it up. Still just blown away....

You're so lucky to experience something like this most people will never be able too. Don't take anything for granted, I feel blessed that my grandparents took me to see 42 states. We'd travel every time we would have time out of school. I remember all of it even though I was young.

It's actually really cheap to do international travel like this for I did that by teaching English. One doesn't need to be wealthy to go, but you just need the time away from work and not have other constraints like family telling you can't just up and go do whatever you want. I'm a single guy all my life so it was very doable for me to see the world. I'd still do it at 50 if I had more than $1000 a month income. That used to be enough money to be in other countries without keeping an apartment in the US where I'd leave things at my mom's then a storage after she passed away 10 years ago. I used to get $300 one way flights going thousands of miles on Expedia and score $5 to $10 a night rooms either by meeting locals or using Hostelworld website. It's as simple as get a passport, carry some cash and cards, read up and watch videos, apply for any necessary visas, then book flight and just go.
@inka-on6mt

@@TUBESPECIFIC1 It's not just money though. I'm sure it can be easy to travel cheap but as a woman? I would never be safe doing this. Especially like just getting a place to stay from some random person online and in morocco? It would be so dangerous for women. AND ESPECIALLY when travelling alone. So as much as I'd like to do this, even if I had the money I couldn't
@TUBESPECIFIC1
@TUBESPECIFIC1 Жыл бұрын
@@inka-on6mt I've met lots of single women backpacker international travelers. They can travel OK by not being flirty and dating, but by just being themselves like a dude does too. People know if you're out to foolishly get in trouble or if you'r'e being wise and level headed. However is Middle East countries like Egypt, solo Western female travelers are not very well respected and do often get harrassed with tit pinching and such. Me, a solo male traveler, was heckled and harrased to no end, but never physically touched. Egypt was the rudest country. I do imagine it would not be safe for a solo female to go alone to North African and Middle East countries, but woudl be fine most everywhere else.

@@patriciamartin7268 No, I don't either. Most Americans never get to see the Grand Canyon or take a trip. I imagine most Americans never driver more than 40 miles from home, but car trip to go camping or fishig is about the extent of most Americans vacation in all of their lives. I too want to travel and participate in life, but it's the money and debt economic system that prevents us from really actualizing in life.

Wow! Wow. Even living vicariously through you, through this KZbin video, I feel like I've just experienced the kind of incredible adventure that Hollywood movies, reality tv, and even some commercials try to replicate but never truly succeed in delivering. This is a unique video, of its own right. The title drew me in because I wanted to know what a Purple US Passport could possibly be. The video kept me in, because it had something special in it. Something special which I'm not sure could ever be described accurately by any title. I have a "Favorites" playlist from the days of yore, when early KZbinrs asked you to "Rate 5 stars and favorite the video." This video has earned a place in that list. It may not be any sort of recognizable accolade to you, but trust me, you, your adventure, and the video you've given to us, to me... this video touched my heart in a very unique way. --Thank you.

I watch A LOT of content on KZbin. This is HANDS DOWN the best video I’ve ever seen. Seriously. Just from the standpoint of making lemonade when you got handed lemons (passport sitch) and saying “f it - I’m going to Morocco” then seeing the trust in mankind and seeing the spirit of adventure and just embracing it all. Dude. Amazing. There is just something that brings people super close when they trust each other like this. Absolute blind faith. Sometimes it doesn’t work but when it does - magic. This was magic. Way to live, man.

I spent about 20 years after college traveling through Africa, China, Japan and various other spots. As a woman, of course, I had to be a bit more careful, but traveling alone allowed people to approach me when they wouldn’t if I had been in a group. It’s important to be flexible and able to handle ambiguity, but also be open to speaking with anyone and careful to be respectful of other cultures. Most people are just people curious to know who you are and what you are doing. They want to share their world with you.
