The Weasleys were considered blood traitors before Arthur was ever born. Arthur's mother, Cedrella (née Black) was disowned by the Black family for marrying a Weasley.

You were so spot on! As a mother of 6 children, I understand the mothering of Molly. She and Arthur paved the way for their children. Thank you, even though some segments had me shedding a couple of tears.

The loss of her brothers gave Molly the power to defend Ginny and kill Bellatrix when she nearly killed Ginny!

The weasley name has long since been intertwined with dowtrodden muggles being defended. That, and they've essentially always accepted muggle borns as proper witches and wizards.

I also love Fleur's retort at one point that she was beautiful enough for both of them, as if she was so shallow. Of course, Fleur being part Veela, Molly could be forgiven for worrying.

That is such a loaded question. Arthur's attitude towards muggles should tell you that story. I doubt he got his fascination with muggles from nowhere

The fact that Rowling messed with the Weasley family at all is still something I cannot forgive her for. I mean, she could have knocked off Percy and I “might” forgive her, but Arthur? Ron? Fred? Naw, I’m still bitter about Dobby so when she killed off Fred, I knew she was insidious. My only solace is in my own internal fan fiction, I imagine he still runs around with George as a “holey” ghost.

I think you need to change the name of the video to who are the Wesley’s instead of why are they blood traitors… You answered the original question almost immediately with Arthur being too vocal about muggles… the rest of the video is just telling us different details about individual family members that have nothing to do with why they’re considered blood traitors…

I always thought that Molly should have given Ron his uncle's watch and just get a cheaper one for Harry. That watch was truly a family heirloom.
@amberbanuelos70535 ай бұрын
That’s what makes it so special- it’s a true family heirloom, something Harry would otherwise never have. It shows that Harry has a true family with the Weasleys and that Molly really did think him as good as her son. His parents left him money, but not heirlooms (as their home was destroyed), and while money is helpful, there’s something about a piece- a watch, a ring, a favorite armchair or a set of china- that’s been handed down to family that hits a different note. Besides, I’m sure they have other heirlooms to gift Ron- after all, Molly had two brothers, it’s possible Ron does have his uncle’s watch and Harry has the twin.

But Ron is used to hand me downs, not to new and expensive gifts. Meanwhile, Harry, who did have all of Dudley's hand me downs and has enough money to buy anything he wants ever, but the one thing he's never had before is an heirloom from a family that loved and treasured him. Molly knew what each boy needed to feel special and loved and she was perfect.
@katrenacanaday49925 ай бұрын
Why? Ron was over the moon that he got a new watch. Just as over the moon as Harry was to have been told that not only did they consider him family, he WAS family. She did that exactly right. Ron was even happy for Harry, too.

@@amberbanuelos7053 we forgetting the invisibility cloak? That's a true family Heirloom, dating all the way back to the Peverils. I think it was the whole part of it being given by a parental with the meaning to go with it is what does it.
@amberbanuelos70535 ай бұрын
@@katrenacanaday4992 exactly- it’s a family heirloom, but it was given to Harry by Dumbledore (anonymously at the time), which isn’t the same as his own mother giving him his grandfather’s war medals or James giving Harry an old piece of goblin-made jewelry or something. This hits differently because it was a family heirloom gifted to him by family, though a family Harry wasn’t yet officially part of. And because Harry had never received something like that before, it meant that much more to him. Besides, Ron would just complain about having a ruddy old hand-me-down watch like he does with everything else, Harry truly appreciated the gesture.
