It doesn't seem that way to me. It almost seems like the message is that the world we live in has programmed us to be a certain way, but we have the potential to be so much more. You're mistaken if you think people from Biblical times were anything like us. They were far more capable than we are, they lived longer, ate better and could handle a lot more than people in our current time can. I just watched it and it's subtle. When the robot learned to lie it was praised by the fox character. It became sentient and then preferred to live in the "wilderness" It basically learned to disobey it's makers. In the end it went back to civilization but is lying about it's current level of sentience.

When I saw the thriller I wanted to cry, it is the same kind of music that makes you so emotional with How to Train Your Dragon. When something wants to enter emotionally, it is not a good sign. Anyway, if the purpose is that you identify with the robot, they are saying basically we haven't the option to choose. Humans weren't "programmed" as robots, we always can choose, even today, to obey God and want something better than this world, or embrace a corrupt nature that will destroy us in the end.

You're eisegeting (reading your own interpretation) onto the two trailers. You really should watch it and pull your interpretation from the actual movie. Spoilers: The robot does not seek to stay on the island in the first place, it sends out a signal to call the maker and leave. It only stays because the baby gosling imprints and the reprogramming the robot needs to do is basically become like a mother to the gosling. The movie is a picture of parenthood and potentially adoption, something us as believers can get behind since we were adopted as children in God's own family. Spoilers for the ending, but the robot doest even stay on the island, she leaves to protect the animals.

I disagree, in terms that there are Christian parents who still want to take their kids to the cinema and watch what Hollywood offers, it is very important that they talk with them about the movie during and after (that is what R rate says: "requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. I watched this film, and I've got to say that LED did well predicting the plot. I believe it is infact gnostic, with the robot being an inverted jesus type. There is even a Noah's ark like scene where the robot gathers all the animals and hides them in a hut to protect them from the worst winter ever. Predators and prey shelter together, just like in Noah's ark!

If you're suggesting we should study nature based on the scenes in this movie, that's the wrong kind of nature. Real-life nature, away from the cities and in the countryside, would be a much better example. The real danger here is that people often fail to see the problem with consuming media and entertainment. Even ministries like Little Light Studios, which I believe are doing good work, fall into this category to some extent. I suspect they would agree that once you recognize the darkness present in most hollywood movies and realize the need to die to self, there’s no longer a need to consume such content. Instead, our focus should be solely on studying the word of God.

After seeing only the first trailer, I didn't know they had a second one out, it looked like a very low-key angle to gently introduce any difference to God's original creation. I see that a lot of things are true here. Robots. Cool. Animals. Neat. Touching on family, friends, and difficulties of life. All real things we deal with, and want to help our kids with. I'm a parent and want my kids to be arrows to know how to fly true. To always know how to walk and turn to God. Speaking of God. He did have an amazing plan and intentions for us and this World. Then things went sideways. Men and Women are the only two genders. God’s intent for the family. Satan’s first attack on God’s authority. Satan goes to Eve versus going to Adam as God goes to Adam immediately after the fruit was eaten. Satan causes doubt in God’s authority. Kids will be softly introduced to “difference is ok”. The original authority is bad. They will already have it softly introduced into their minds that God’s plan is not what they should see and follow. They have seen subtle messages from the fantastic-looking, colorful, richly created world of “The Wild Robot” that didn't look and end like God’s plan. Just like most of the hot garbage created these days. This just being low low-key chocolate-coated serving of these ideas. They could associate the Robot on the original world as God, and turn from Him a little bit. Making room in their hearts for the world and Satan. Going to be honest. As an adult, I'd watch this movie. I can appreciate the good and filter out the garbage that I see in it. If I let my kids watch it I'll warn them of some things they may comment on. Maybe I'll warn them ahead of time about some things I see. I have had many conversations with my kids so far, and I plan on having many many more with them the best the Holy Spirit helps me with. If I see good and do not do it it is a sin. If I as a father do not do the best I can as a dad in the moment then I will have sinned. I must always turn to God’s Word, and filter out my emotions, physical feelings, and own issues to be in reality to guide my kids as God intends me to and as He sees them. They are a gift, and the weight of misleading them is weighty indeed. I fail more times than I'd like to admit, and I am always learning how to do things better. Then trying to remember how to apply those things learned with how I feel being juggled. It's hard work. It's one of the most rewarding and important works. It helps me be a better man and Christian. It was said some two thousand years ago and it's just as true now. Time is short. The work is much, and the workers few. We need to share the Good News with those God puts in our days given. He makes them new each day. May God bless every one of you. Be bold for Jesus.

The robot even fell from the sky. This is very similar about the story of satan. In the book of Luke, JESUS said that HE beheld satan fall like lightning from heaven. The robot eerily has the same language as satan as well, by stating things like discover your “true nature.” This can be interpreted as a person’s sin nature. Until we saved and set free we do believe like this robot, give into the flesh and our ultimately our sin nature. We must be saved and born again through JESUS to overcome this fallen world. The time to repent is now. I pray that GOD opens our eyes.

What the heck man, you havent even seen the movie and your putting all this weight on it. Have you ever thought about your view the other way around? What if the robot is a symbol of man and where he/it came from is the confines of society, where the voice of God is muted and drowned out by the caught up routine of man? How many people do you know that just go through the motions? People who say the words and do the acts but they just do them because it is what is excepted? Or people who have a God given talent but does nothing with it because they are afraid of what people would think/ dont fit in? In Romans 12:2 it says "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." I haven't see the movie either, yet, but it seems to be this robot is jarred out of its world and gets tested in the wilderness where it/he brakes out of the trappings of what his society wants and expects from him. Through his struggles he/it learned of love and the value of life. And with love is God. Tell me sir, how is that an evil movie? I wish and pray more people would open their eyes and see the Glory all around them.

Yes we do not live in a perfect world, but this movie shows us what we should be doing to are world, and that is to take care of it. God put us here to take care of the Earth, his garden. I do not see this movie as rebelling against God, but rather I see it as doing God's will. This Planet may not be are permanent home, and none of us are prepared to die, but God still intends for use to take care of this planet while we are still here. Secular movies are most often gnostic, and the theme of those goes opposite that of The Gospel. There is popularity among secularists, to be spiritual without God, and like for all people, to naturally be in rebellion against The Lord. Earth to them, is not a planet, but rather some form of deity, a force that senses somehow, that they call Gaia, and something similar with the sun and moon, they try to personify them, making an idol, and in a way/sense worship them. Where it looks nice, that's place of highest authority, and the robot is rebelling against that. You see the animals and think Eden, but that is not Eden, a common theme now, is extinction, and it is used to make people fear. What is left out, is that Scripture says earth will be renewed, instead viewers are presented a more or less material only view, in which only this planet is all there is, and that makes people obsess over the planet due to said influences, almost to the point of becoming fanatic. While taking care of earth is preferable, it is wrong tro cling on unto this earth, because God will eventually destroy it. When taking care of earth, but, not letting God be part of the equation or up for consideration, then it becomes worship of the planet, of creation rather than Creator. Often when taking care of the planet, we try to do it our way, and putting all sorts of politics and ideology into it, that becomes wrong to. On New Earth, in Heaven, there is no more sickness diease or 'Monthy Python pet store sketch', meaning no more sin, and logically no signs of it in the ground. From the trailers, movie kinda influences you, in wanting to stay on the fallen earth, than going to a better place that is meant and prepared for us.
