The controller is such an important part of the gaming experience and the Xbox 360 version is the most comfortable I've ever used. I can use it for multiple hours and not get cramp in my hands. Build quality is incredible. I prefer all the buttons and the stick sensitivity. I can say that I'll be using the Hyperkin Xenon for many years as my default go to controller and the actual original version on PC as long as it's still supported.

The lack of potentiometer joysticks makes the ps3 controller a very close second place. Why was the PS3 controller the only mainstream game controller to not use trash potentiometer joysticks?

If it didn't use potentiometers what did it use as sensors cause as far as I know it doesn't have hall effect sticks either

I would not necessarily say that the Xbox 360 controller is the “best controller of all time”, considering the fact that the PlayStation 4 (DualShock 4 - DS 4) controller is even a notch better. Just recently, I’ve installed a USB type C charging port on my PS4 controller from 2016, making it on par with the PlayStation 5 controller (which IMO is too bulky!) and it’s sooo convenient to play all of my old-school games (from the PlayStation 1, up to Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo Gamecube) completely wireless over that mentioned controller, although with an adapter or two. Sure, I always will be a Sony fanboy, but I have never adjusted my gaming sessions to Microsoft. So for me, the PS4 or DS 4 controller will always have a nice, warm place in my heart ❤

Unfortunately, I don't yet own a DS4 but have used them at friends houses and do believe them to be much improved from the DS3. I definitely prefer the triggers on them by a lot. Thanks for your thoughts - I'm very grateful!

i find that the ds4 is great and is better than a xbox360 in terms of functions but the 360 has a better feel and the buttons are perfectly placed for me

Sorry for the late reply! I've only used the stock Series X controller once at a mate's house but it feels feels as good as the 360 controller. The reason why I wouldn't rate it as highly as the 360 controller is that I've heard of them breaking often (usually after about a year of moderate use).
