I'm still using the Tornado v3 Flagship ever since it was released and still think it's great. I also use it for 3BLD. I did have to super-glue in my corner to core magnets though.

@@UK_Cuber To be clear, it came that way out of the box, poor build quality. A couple corner to core magnets were loose and noisy, so I went ahead and super-glued all of them while I had it apart. It's been perfect ever since. :)

Same happend with me with the gan 2x2 leap it camed out of the box like that, but whenever I glue it ,it fall off again, because the core magnets are too strong ,😢 its too annoying

I think you’ll find them much more stable than the older weilongs, thanks to their corner to core magnets and edge-core repelling magnets. You won’t regret it

i have a tv3, and i can see the value in it. it has very good turning, decent corner cutting, and over 100 adjustment options for very cheap, and as you said the unboxing is great. having said that, i dont really like the cube for 3 main reasons: • i dont enjoy the feeling anymore, i used to like it but nowadays the clackiness of the magnets and the harsh corner cuts make for a cube i dont like using that much • this one was myistake cause i chose the pioneer, and at first i really liked how exaggeratedly fast it was, but i keep overshooting, and that combined with the average corner cutting, makes for too many lockups and a not very enjoyable solving experience to me • it is very fragile, my core broke out of nowhere so i had to buy a new one. i bought a flagship core to someone and ill get it when we meet up, but for now i just have a broken flagship cube on my shelf

Interesting, I fully understand what you mean about the speed and turning but I used some slow lubes to not overshoot too much. The issue with reliability is something that a lot of people have been saying and personally I haven't had that experience but it is worrying to hear.

Yeah I’d say the guhong pro is a mix between the tornado v3 and tengyun v1. Definitely a great cube for it’s price. It’s essentially just an upgraded tengyun. Though the pieces are a bit blocky, kinda like the ys3m. It’s pretty inexpensive so there’s no harm in trying it out

Tonardo V3 is my first magnetic, so I can't really compare to anything. But when I first got it, it felt really great and my times got better. From average 25 to average 19. However, the Tornado V3 still has 1 problem "quality issue". I broke it after half a year. So sad. my mom wouldn't buy me a new one ;-;

Hii uk cuber i need your help i oredered moyu rs3m 2020 in the starting of 2024. Its perfomance is very good but one day accidently i have broke one corner poece of the cube 😅. Well it depends on your budget if you want a cheap one get the rs3m 2020 but if you want a good cube get the Xman tornado v3

I buy this cube not so long ago and i dont regret it, its the best cube i ever tried But the only thing is it has some internal problem. Just 3 hour after i received the cube 3 of its corner magnet fell off, i tried to fix it but it keep felling off I ended up ignoring the magnets then i relize it doesnt made any difference Sorry for bad English

In terms of performance that’s a tricky one. I’d say the ys3m performs equal if not better, but it depends on your turning style. The TV3 is much more customisable if that’s something you value. One strange thing to mention though: I originally bought the ys3m ball core maglev, but without UV. The matt finish feels nice, but when doing fast solves it’s noticeably more slippery than cubes with uv coating. So I decided to get another ys3m with uv coating this time. The specs were otherwise the same, so it should feel identical, except for the external plastic. But for some reason the old ys3m i bought feels nicer to turn. Faster, smoother, less resistance, better auto-alignment, etc. So now I’m confused and wondering if every cube just feels slightly different, meaning you might get a nice ys3m and someone else might get a worse one. It’s probably not the case, because the pieces must be exactly the same. I’m sure it could be explained by some differences in the factory setup (maybe my second ys3m came slightly tighter out of the box). But it might explain why some people love certain cubes and other people don’t - maybe they just received it with a different factory setup.

I have both TV3 and Ys3m, both with ball-core and maglev. The Tv3 is a great cube, and has adjustable magnets, which the ys3m lacks. But I still prefer the ys3m, which has been my main almost a year. For one thing, while the Tv3 is good, its delicate, with the plastic core prone to snapping. Unlike the ys3m which is unbreakable. But I also just prefer the feel of the Moyu. It's magnets are a near-perfect "not too strong, not too weak", for my tastes. But that's just my opinion. Others prefer the tv3. Both are excellent cubes, so you can't really go too wrong.

@@baconsarny-geddon8298 The problem with cores snapping on the TV3 was only for the initial releases though. Qiyi re-released the TV3s with a stronger core that’s much less prone to breaking. There’s a way to tell which version you have but I can’t remember, something to do with the screws I think. There’s a youtube video by Ola Fyodorova ‘XMD Tornado v3 Pioneer: maglev adjustment system and the updated “ball” core’ where she takes the cubes apart and goes into the differences between the old and new release. I agree though, I prefer the magnetic feel of the ys3m. The auto-alignment is better and it has a nice magnetic pull from the core, whereas the TV3 just has more clicky turns (if you dial up the corner-edge magnets). Also the corner cutting is better on the ys3m. But the tornado has a better tensioning adjustment system, and overall turns smoother and quieter. Once lubed, it’s one of the quietest cubes on the market and the turns are buttery smooth, which is really satisfying. Hard to say which one performs better. I think that just depends on the person’s turning style and what they like. I could easily main either cube if I got used to them again, despite there being so many newer releases.

The older TV3 models had a pretty brittle cores, so there were lots of complaints about them breaking. The newer release of the TV3 has fixed that issue. There’s ways to tell if you have the newer or older release but I can’t remember what they are. Something to do with the screws under the centre caps. I have the newer release pioneer uv and it’s one of my favourite cubes. So smooth and quiet. Really satisfying to turn. I have a few cubes that perform slightly better, so I’d choose those instead if I’m doing fast solves or competing, but otherwise I still love using the tornado

Too expensive and therefore haven't bought it. I've never favoured MoYu Weilongs just because of how unstable they usually are. Not sure about the V9 though

I have the v9 and v9 20 magnet (both BC uv). The original V9 has very strong magnets, which I liked at first but eventually I realised it’s too much for me. The 20 magnet version has less strong magnets, and feels a lot closer to the super weilong. Often I still prefer the super weilong, but they’re so similar in terms of feel and performance that there’s no way to justify the ridiculous price tag of the super weilong. If you have enough money, buy the v9 20 magnet version. All 3 of these cubes perform incredibly well and are probably the best cubes on the market imo. UK Cuber mentioned how weilongs are usually unstable. Personally I don’t find them unstable, because there are so many core magnets holding the shape together. They’re definitely flexible, but the magnets prevent the cube from deforming in your hand. And if you’re not a fan of very fast, flexible cubes, you can always slow them down with lube and change the tensioning or centre travel. Generally the weilongs are easier to corner twist than the ys3m or tornado, especially if you keep them quite loose. But they actually very rarely twist when I’m solving, and I’ve never had any pieces pop. The same can’t be said for my GAN 12 or 12 ui 😭

Anyway that’s my advice. Assuming you have a high budget, I think the wrm v9 20 magnet ball core is the best cube to get. Though if you REALLY don’t care about money then you could try the super weilong. Sometimes I do perform better on that, and it does feel nice and crispy, but the price is completely unreasonable. If you’re on a tighter budget, get the rs3m V5 ball core. It’s such good value. Feels extremely similar to the wrm v9 20 magnets, and if anything it’s slightly more controllable. I think the wrm v9 20 magnets only takes the edge if you want lightning fast turning with very little resistance, but also lots of magnet stability, without the magnets being overly strong like in the original wrm v9. I like super fast cubes that are also quite forgiving, because my turning isn’t always accurate, so the weilongs work really well for me. I’ve managed to get used to the GAN 12 and 12 ui, but I still lock up more on them and they’ve even popped for me if I’m turning too fast and aggressively.
