This is awesome! I'm so excited for my new years trip, and I love that you highlight vegan goodies as a vegan viewer! I have a video request to throw into the void: Budget eats in Iceland (of course with a vegan twist as you see fit). I suspect hat some baked goods could count here!

Sandholt was the first place my husband and I visited when we got off the plane in Keflavik the first time ❤ it was 6am, freezing, dark, and we had no gps, it was frightening and we were worried about what we had gotten ourselves into. I walked into the airport again and downloaded an offline map and found the only place in Reykjavik that was open for breakfast, the second we walked in our lives completely changed ❤❤❤ Will have to check the others out!

You got a new camera or phone you're filming with? The colours in some of the shots look very washed out, like in your outro the colours have been washed out so much it's even hard to make out your face. (3:10) It's a bit like those over the top skin smoothing filters? It looks a bit uncanny to be honest, just a heads up. It's the same at 0:52 it's like the brightness has been boosted way too much.

Thanks! Yea, I noticed that too and I’ll look into why it’s coming out different.

Geirabakarí in Borgarnes (next to Bonus) is A-MAZING. I had the best Swiss Mocha and donut in my 49 years on earth LOL. Every time we come to Iceland, we try to get up there! Almar Bakari in Selfoss is also Fantastic!

We stayed less than a block from the Brauð & Co near Sandholt. That was really dangerous! Did eat at both, but it was hard to beat the convenience! Will have to return, if nothing else to try the others!

Hello, All of the bakeries look really good. However, I would really like to visit Sandholt. Also, which ingredients are different in a vegan croissant?
@AllThingsIcelandАй бұрын
I hope you do. The vegan version used plant-based milk and plant-based butter.
@ladyloneillАй бұрын
Hard to decide! But first I’d try is the vegan croissant. I know - so boring, so be it.
@AllThingsIcelandАй бұрын
Not boring at all. It’s so delicious!
@EmorettaRobinsonАй бұрын
At first I thought everything at the first bakery looked delicious. And it does. But they all look really good. It was nice to see what each bakery had to offer. Iceland is still on my list of places to visit. I saw where, a year or so ago, someone went to a place that served pizza that had pistachio and truffle on it. I didn't even know that either were pizza toppings. But it sounds good to me now as well.
@primarytrainer1Ай бұрын
is the rainbow croissant at hygge good?
@ingridgazo7539Ай бұрын
Some of them look good👌 but they also seem to have too much dough , I mean the whole thing looks dry . I may have that impression because I' m Parisian and after visiting ( and living ) in some other european countries I've had a lot to compare to and I stick to french bakeries that are to die for and can be found at every corner of any street . Also the icelandic prices are extremely expensive . Even more than here . 💱 .Here it has gotten very expensive too ! 😣But those prices will help me to keep looking fit , let' s try to see something positive in this story !😅
@gfritlev9956Ай бұрын
Bernhöftsbakarí. Bakarameistari. 👍 But Reykjavik has grown 50% since the 1980s so logically there is more variety. One of those delicassies is.. Brauð & Co

You mentioned vegan options a couple of times and it made me wonder, other than baked goods, how vegetarian-friendly is Iceland? When I think of Icelandic food it's definitely heavy on the meats!
