@daylightbright76753 жыл бұрын
@@user-hm9uq8gk5x What does being native have to with anything? Escobar's hippos are there and are now a part of the environment, endemic or not. You gotta remember that almost no species are in the exact geographic location they evolved in. Horses evolved soley in North America but migrated to the Eurasian steppe via the Bering land bridge during the last ice age, no human intervention needed whatsoever. It's only in the last 250 years or so that they came back to North America and are now an invasive species despite having literally evolved here. Dandelions were brought over from Europe and not endemic here either, yet they fit into the ecosystem so well you'd never know. The other plant species are more then tough enough to keep up with them and they've been absolutely lifesaving for our Bee and Butterfly populations. Migration is very natural and with the exception of closed off places like Australia and islands, you're always going to find species coming and going. Sure, we certainly want to protect ecosystems from damage new species could cause, especially when we're the ones introducing them. But it's not unnatural or odd in any way for this to happen, weather we're the force behind it or not. I'd argue it's actually one of the most natural things in the world.
